-RetweetVideo: Ahmadinejad: 'If the World Is Calm, Europe Will Eradicate the Zionists'

Fri, Sep 21, 2007 at 1:04:52 pm PDT

This is the man invited to speak at Columbia University and a National Press Club luncheon, in an intervew broadcast on Iranian TV on August 28, 2007.

Click picture to play video. Requires Windows Media Player; Mac users should install Flip4Mac.

(Courtesy of MEMRI TV.)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: We declare that since our [nuclear] project is for peaceful purposes, we are prepared to provide – under IAEA supervision – technical and engineering services to the other IAEA members. We can guide them, so that other too can use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
[...]
Journalist: What would you say to people who are concerned that a possible attack [against Iran] would be very bad? Thank you.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: In my opinion, the premise of this analysis is wrong. In Iran, there are hardly any such people. Even if there are any such people, they are so few that they drown in the sea of Iranian people. If you want to see how happy the Iranians are, take a look at Iran’s streets, places of entertainment, and centers of tourism. The Iranian people is not worried about such things at all. The reason is clear: The Iranian people relies upon its faith, its unity, its national capabilities, and its culture, and therefore, it is invincible.
[...]
I state categorically that there is no chance that America will make such a decision, and that even if it does, it will be incapable of carrying it out. The reasons are so clear that they don’t need to be mentioned.
[...]
Journalist: You said that Iran does not anticipate a military attack, but Mr. Sarkozy, the president of France, indicated yesterday that if Iran continues its nuclear project, there is a possibility of a military attack. What do you think about this?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: According to our assessment, because he is new, he is trying to position himself in the world, but he hasn’t yet tested the waters. In other words, he may not be aware of the significance of what he said. Besides, in our opinion, he said this for domestic consumption. Politically, this is too trivial for us to even think about.
[....]
A government functions like a football team. It is team work. The president is the coach of the team. No player who enters the field can say he must remain there the entire 90 minutes. The coach examines the game, and changes the formation. This is because the team has to win. Pay attention. The group has to achieve several targets. The coach sees this, and at that moment, he can change the formation and even the tactics, but the goal and the path remain the same. He may change the tactics and the formation, and may take out some of the players from the field, and bring on new ones instead.
[...]
In principle, the Zionists lack any religion. They are lying when they say that they are Jews. They have no religion. They are against religion, because religion means friendship, brotherhood, peace, and justice. Religion means to respect the divine prophets. Note this. Religion means to respect others. It means friendship between peoples. Note that wherever the Zionists are, there is war, and wherever there is war, they are the ones behind it. As a matter of fact, if you examine American society, you will see that they oppress the Americans. They oppress the Europeans, even though they are a minority. They infiltrated in an organized manner... No more than 10,000 of them are part of the organization, and the rest just follow them. But they have become a powerful underground political party, which has the money and the media at its disposal. They do not want friendship and peace between peoples. They do not want there to be friendship between the Swedish government and other countries. This way they get rid of their complexes about the Prophet of Islam and all other prophets. As you know, an affront to the Prophet of Islam means an affront to all the divine prophets, because the Prophet of Islam is the Seal of the Prophets.
[...]
Therefore, because the Zionists have no religion, I strongly suspect that they are behind [the Swedish cartoon], and that they want to embarrass the Europeans, and make the European governments face a challenge. They want to instigate a war, because war is the essence of their existence. If the world is calm, the people of Europe the Germans... If the world is calm, they will eradicate the Zionists. I’m convinced of this. Do you know how many messages I get from Germans every day? They have an aversion to the Zionists. The Zionists humiliated the German people very much. But the Zionists are in control. The moment the world is calm and people can express their views, you will see that they will drive them out of Europe. The people of Europe themselves will drive them out. The [Zionists] do not want such a thing to happen, and that’s why they instigate new turmoil every day.
[...]
When Mr. Putin met me in Bishkek, he told me that they would complete the reactor in Bushehr as planned. In opinion, Mr. Putin and the Russian government are standing by these statements, and they will complete the reactor. We are not worried about this.

Of that, I have no doubt.

Note that wherever the Zionists are, there is war, and wherever there is war, they are the ones behind it.

Substitute "Muslim" for "Zionist" and the quote is accurate...

"Therefore, because the Zionists have no religion, I strongly suspect that they are behind [the Swedish cartoon], and that they want to embarrass the Europeans, and make the European governments face a challenge. "

Does Columbia's administration realize how foolish they look by inviting this loon to speak?

This thing is coming to the U.S. If we had any cajones we'd lock him up for taking the hostages in 1979. He was there. But, instead he's going to speak at Columbia, the Nat'l Press Club, and the U.N. We need to exhume Stalin, Hitler, and Lenin and let them talk to. Noam Chomsky can channel them.

And the 'dinner jacket' is right about the Europeans.
Given the chance, they would restart the holocaust tomorrow as soon as the Europeans are confident they could finish the job without those meddling Americans.

Wow what insane blather.
Lets see...no Holocaust happened but of all Europeans it will be the GErmans who wipe out the "Zionists" (aka Jews)

and lets see...it has been made official
10,000 secret society Zionists secretly control all 6.5 billion people of planet earth
OF COURSE!

And his final note...my favorite of his bullshit "religion brings respect and friendship"...really are you sure?
Last time I checked Sunnis and Shia were both of the SAME RELIGION but wanted to chop each others heads off more than they wanted to have sex with their wives. Friendship and respect...and Iraq is the PERFECT example of that.

And that's the reason why Columbia is salivating at the opportunity to have him on campus to deliver that speech.

They think this is about free speech and the exchange of ideas. Ahmadinejad has something quite different in mind - spreading Islamist thought at the point of a sword. That includes anti-Israel, anti-Semitic love songs, calls for jihad, and da'was left and right.

These so-called intelligensia think that this is a man to be reasoned with - to be engaged.

Nonsense. First step to dealing with a problem is recognizing what the problem is. Ahmadinejad is a ruthless thug who seeks to set the Middle East aflame to fulfill a messianic/apocalyptic vision. That means causing conflict - not pacifying it.

It means using proxies across the region to spread mayhem and cause conflict. It means sending EFPs and terrorists around the world to kill and injure US soldiers and Marines. It means daily diatribes against the West, and the US and Israel in particular.

All the while, the same academics choose to ignore the harsh realities in Iran - the harsh and repressive nature of Islam - the misogyny, the violent crackdowns on those who do not adhere to strict Islam - hanging people who are gay, or women who engaged in extramarital sex by stoning.

This is the enlightened sort that Columbia seeks out.

This should surprise no one. After all, the Ivy Leagues fought over who would get to host a Taliban spokesthug. Getting Ahmadinejad would be a real coup.

Dixification of America

The broader consequences of this Dixification have been clear. The political values of the South have become in many respects the values of the nation. The South has the strongest religious sentiment, the strongest support for the military, the strongest opposition to social permissiveness, to abortion and gay marriage. When most foreigners think in clichéd terms of the “typical” American, they are probably thinking of someone with the worldview of a citizen of the Carolinas.

/I see code words for red-neck here.

Who killed Dixie? Demographics played a part – the nation’s centre of gravity continues to move westwards, increasing the relative power of the Rockies and the Pacific Coast states. So too did politics – a decade of mismanagement by Republicans has hardly been an advertisement for Southern-flavoured government. The nation’s ideological balance is shifting also, as the influence of religious conservatives wanes. Whatever combination of factors is responsible, the Strange Death of Dixie America will have powerful implications for years.

It ain't over till it's over.

64 Gordon  Fri, Sep 21, 2007 1:27:06pm

From "Let History Judge," a book chronicling the crimes of Stalinism in the Soviet Union, written by Roy Medvedev, a famous Russian historian and dissident, on why Stalinism thrived - he calls is "dogmatism":

It would be naive to think that dogmatism always repels people, while a creative approach is always attractive. Unfortunately, the opposite has more often occurred. For a large number of people who lack the necessary education and training, dogmatism proves to be more attractive, because it frees them from the need to think, the need to take initiative, to continually raise the level of their own understanding. Instead of studying ever-changing reality, they use a few fixed rules. Human history in general and the history of religions and ideologies in particular have shown us the immense force of dogmatic thinking. Things are always harder for creative thinkers and innovators. Although a revolution represents the victory of new ideas over old dogmas, in time any revolutionary movement becomes overgrown with its own dogmas. In such a situation Stalin's ability to make extreme simplifications of complex ideas was not the least factor in his rise.

Orwell summarized this quite well in Animal Farm when he had the communist sheep bleating "two legs bad, four legs good."

Ahminidejad clearly is a dogmatic thinker, as are a lot of Muslims. But we shouldn't be dogmatic in studying and opposing him. I can understand why banning him from Ground Zero might be appropriate, because of what the site represents. But studying him at events such as the Press Club and at Columbia University gives us a chance to figure him out, and better oppose and eventually destroy him.

Beware, LGF'ers, that you do not fall prey to the kind of dogmatism that infects our enemies and spout the easy slogans rather than the difficult tasks ahead.

Therein lies the biggest danger now and tomorrow. College kids have no historical background, world perspective, or expertise and they sit in the classroom believing everything a prof tells them. The moment the world is calm and people can express their views, you will see that they will drive them out of Europe. The people of Europe themselves will drive them out. The [Zionists] do not want such a thing to happen, and that’s why they instigate new turmoil every day.

Hey numbnuts, they already drove and burnt them out of europe, and replaced them with Islamic crazies such as yourself.

I understand all of that, but it has to get out there. We can not buy into 'hate speech' regulations. We can not allow ourselves to become the vacuum that is the left.

Those at Columbia should now have a foothold to have the right to have the opposing view presented, and I believe that is in the works. I can not find the link now, but there is a week in October where many will speak out about radical islam, and Columbia is one of the venues.

I think the link was in a earlier thread...

Remember... Imadinnerjacket will give his "final response" to us zionists and zionist lovers on or around 10/12. (And the jihad post cards to schools in FLA had 9/11 ? 10/10 on them).

OT... So I did some checking to see if "The Kingdom" might be some hippy dippy anti-American crap. Take a look at some of the examples I saw in reviews - Our left and Hollywood elite really are sick America haters :

But "The Kingdom" does have a political agenda, evident in verbal and non-verbal scenes, suggesting that only Americans can do the job well, quickly, and effectively.

These chauvinistic elements about the vigor the American military institution, the American know-how, may prove problematic for some viewers. The messages are stated explicitly in several agit-prop speeches, where Fleury says: "Let us teach you how we Americans can help resolve your problems." The movie implies that Saudi Arabia, and by extension other foreign countries, of both the First World and Third World, are not strong, rational, and skillful enough to fight terrorism.

...and the American movie heroes, being American movie heroes, treat the poor Saudi colonel like an idiot.
Where pic goes astray is inturning anonymous, indigenous peoples into ducks at a shooting gallery. In "Black Hawk Down," the alleged good guys mowed down hundreds of faceless Africans; here, it's Arabs, in what seem like comparable numbers. The sense of vicarious sport is the same; anyone in a caftan or a kepi is fair game.

The Kingdom could have been a jingoistic CSI: Riyadh, and sometimes it is.

Blech. Have a good weekend Lizardia.

Biker's penis hit by lightning

A Croatian motorbiker's penis was zapped by lightning as he stopped beside the road to take a leak.

Ante Djindjic, 29, from Zagreb, said: "I don't remember what happened. One minute I was taking a leak and the next thing I knew I was in hospital.

"Doctors said the lightning went through my body and because I was wearing rubber boots it earthed itself through my penis."

If you look at the recent crackdowns in the Islamic Republic of Iran; hangings on public streets, rigorous enforcement of dress codes, shutting down of the Internet, etc., then this country is falling right into DinnerJackets' little trap.
Because right now, back home in Iran, the people should be really, really pissed off at the little POS and the mullahs.
What will be reported in the Iranian Press? A luncheon at a four star hotel with the U.S. press, a lecture in front of U.S. college students, and perhaps the laying of a wreath for the Islamic 'martyrs' of September 11th at Ground Zero. All of which will be reported on Page One of the Iranian press.
I love this country, but this is insanity. We snatch defeat from victory in the name of 'dialog'.

It must be a criticism of the Germans for not doing the job properly, i.e., complete. I looked it up, Holocaust means the "the great or total destruction of life". He used the following phrase to describe what Sarkozy said about military action against Iran: in our opinion, he said this for domestic consumption.

What is said by leaders of France, Britain and the US regarding the possession of nuclear arms by Iran is of a geo-political concern and is for world consumption.

He has demonstrated he has not yet been convinced either externally or internally that Iran, under his governance, is in any danger.

John Bolton is too funny...

Iran President Will Get Royal Treatment
By ADAM GOLDMAN – 1 hour ago

NEW YORK (AP) — Nikita Khrushchev banged his shoe on his desk, Fidel Castro delivered torturously long rants, Yasser Arafat showed up wearing a holster and Hugo Chavez called President Bush the "devil."

Now, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is securing his place in this rogues' gallery of world leaders who have visited New York for the U.N. General Assembly, the annual gathering where petty despots and powerful heads of state alike get their say.

Ahmadinejad will be making his third appearance in the past three years. Tensions with Iran are escalating as the United States accuses the country of trying to develop nuclear weapons and arming insurgents in Iraq with powerful roadside bombs that kill U.S. troops.

A defiant and unpredictable Ahmadinejad is not expected to defuse the situation when he appears at a forum at Columbia University on Monday and addresses the General Assembly on Tuesday.

"You should treat this as an off-Broadway production," former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said, describing the United Nations as a "Twilight Zone" that gives a platform to "tinhorn dictators." "The General Assembly is the theater in which Ahmadinejad and others perform."

I stil dont get how someone who claims the Holocaust was a hoax implies that in the future the Germans of all people will wipe out the Zionists/Jews.

So he clearly is a fan of the Nazis
Has this man ever read anything other than the Koran, Mein Komp and The Protocals of the Elders of Zion?

And the most classic of them all...his claim that religious people are respectful and brotherly. Well Iran is a pretty religious place...about as religious as a state could get without being the Taliban, yet he still wants to eradicate people from the earth. So he invalidates his own statement...either he is religious and full of shit, or he himself isnt religious, and couldnt give a crap about anybody else.

Religion can be about bloodshed and death.

The Aztecs were very religious in their own way, butchering hundreds of thousands of humans (mostly from neighboring tribes) on the altars of their Sun and Moon gods.

The Taliban were also very religious, and very murderous.

Bloodshed is a sacrament in Islam. Hatred of the Jews is a sacrament in Islam.

Giuliani seeks to bury the hatchet with gun group

Republican presidential candidate Rudolph W. Giuliani called on the National Rifle Assn. to support him today after he renounced the lawsuit he filed against gun makers when he was mayor of New York.

Speaking to several hundred NRA members at the group's "Celebration of American Values" conference here, Giuliani defended his initial filing of the suit and other anti-gun steps he took as mayor.

Biker's penis hit by lightning

A Croatian motorbiker's penis was zapped by lightning as he stopped beside the road to take a leak.Ante Djindjic, 29, from Zagreb, said: "I don't remember what happened. One minute I was taking a leak and the next thing I knew I was in hospital.

"Doctors said the lightning went through my body and because I was wearing rubber boots it earthed itself through my penis."

yowzer!...wonder if he'll end up with some special powers?

I wonder what his new super-name will be.

If we had any cajones we'd lock him up for taking the hostages in 1979.

With this I agree, but other than that, let him speak. The more people that hear his garbage, the more people will come to realize what he is saying. Move-on found that out this last week, he will learn it next week.

We can not raise our voices when Spencer, Pipes, et al are shouted down, or 'dis-invited' to speak somewhere and then try to stop this idiot from speaking, it is hypocritical.

Voltaire is credited with it, and may have never said it, but we in America live by the code: "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend with my life you're right to say it."

Two points of disagreement with you. I think Ahmadinejad is too smart to be so blatant in front of an American audience. He's going to try to win hearts and minds, to fight in Iran's favour, when a decision about taking out Iran's nuclear program has to be made. I'm confident that he won't chant "death to America" or "death to Israel" at Columbia. And I don't think we can count on any significant awareness among the audience of his rhetoric in Iran.

Which brings me to my second point. I agree with Voltaire. But Voltaire didn't say free speech means giving every assh*le prominent platforms to spew their propaganda. Nor did he intend that incitement to genocide be protected speech.

I've always contended that the kind of antisemitism that is exhibited by Ahmedinejad has its origin in the spiritual realm, by which I mean demonic.

So, why not take the battle spiritual? Wouldn't it be possible to organize enough people of good will to show up and pray for an end to genocidal antisemitism? Does anyone in New York have contact with various religious groups, eg. the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, and have them come out to engage in a prayer service, like a rosary? What are the neighboring synagogue that would be willing to send representatives out to pray? Are there any Muslim groups that would send out people to oppose Ahmadinejad in prayer? What about Buddhists, and Hindus, and Jains?

so cleary our definitions of respectful and brotherly are completely opposite from his.

to us respect (from the dictionary) means: a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements

to Ahmadinejad respect means: a feeling of deep resentment for someone or something, who therefore should be slaughtered as soon as possible.

The US (read the State Dept.) has completely lost its moral compass if it doesn't arrest this terrorist for his direct involvement with the 1979 hostage-taking, his repeated threats of genocide against Israel, his policy of murder of innocent civilians in Iran and his full support to the shiite insurgency in Iran against US soldiers and the arming and funding of the Hizbullah, Hamas and Syria.

Beware, LGF'ers, that you do not fall prey to the kind of dogmatism that infects our enemies and spout the easy slogans rather than the difficult tasks ahead.

What an amazing load of shit! What is there to study? Study is just a reason to keep out head in the sand longer. We know this guy. His record goes back to the embassy takeover.

It is funny to hear you worry about 'the difficult tasks ahead'. When in the last 30 years or so has left done anything other than retreat and hide from 'difficult tasks'? I might be labeled a chickenhawk, but the left of this country, and most of the world, are chickenshits. The guy (the Dinner Jacket), talks a lot for a guy at the end of his rope.

If syria wasn't torturing those who talk to the press; you'd probably learn that iran and syria did not have a very good summer.

And, for all I know, the Man Upstairs is running a test.

If Israel survives, in spite of Europe. In spite of the Saud's wealth spent on madrasses. And, in spite of all this garbage from the arabs ...

At some point ... there well could be a "turning point" ... DOWN the road, when disappointments add up. And, also, when the intermarrying of cousins, begins to hit the genetic "jackpot."

We don't know. We're never given enough time.

But what if Israel's survival IS the miracle, that disgraces the ignoramuses, that learned nothing from being turned back at the Gates of Vienna?

What other cards does the Master of the Universe, have?

Oh, t'nite's Kol Nidre. It's a better "accounting system" that the shrimp in a Dinner Jacket understands.

L'shana Tova T'katavu, v' T'katamu.

Really, don't take the stuff at Columbia seriously. To make sheepskin? First, you slaughter the animal. And, then? You need to dip it into mixtures, including urine.

So, according to Amamadjihad, Jews don't exist.

Nice. Makes killing a people that doesn't exist SO much easier, especially if you call them zionists.

Because we aren't muslim, don't recognize their "prophet", we don't get to have religion. Anyone seeing a parallel here? Back to the most vicious miso-Judaic ideas of Europe, second verse, but now in the ME.

And we know how that turned out. IAF, the sooner, the better on this one.
