OK, this guy is clearly an attention whore and drove the whole incident. Has anyone else noticed that tasers have become ubiquitous and overused? They've gone from the hands of the police to the rent-a-cops and are being used for increasing trivial incidents. Tasing is on its way to becoming a default procedure. Check out the taser videos on YouTube and I'll bet you see the same thing. In five years we'll see microwave pain induction in the hands of mall guards and in use on civilians.
Maybe not. Hope not.

Agreed. A half truth is like a half a brick: you can throw it twice as far and do the same damage as with a whole.
I mean, its God's prerogative to do what He wants, He doesn't need our help to do it, and we can't thwart His designs. But this dude might as well be working for the other team. He never read that we should speak the truth in love, we should hate the sin rather than the sinner, and so on.
There was a demon-possessed slavegirl who followed St. Paul around in Ephesus declaring that he was God's messsenger. This was true enough, yet the source of this truth was a demon. So Paul cast it out of her.

If the clown in that video was wearing a splodeybelt instead of a loudhailer and called the Diety for whom he claims to speak "Allah" instead of "Christ"... you get the picture. He's as certain that he's right as the Islamobombs are, and has the same kind of justification and documentation: none.

Somehow I get the feeling the Andrew Meyer wanted to run for political office...you can't be a left win candidate unless you do something incredibly stooopid.

Greg Palast Offers Job to Tasered Journalism Student
Andrew Meyer Currently ‘On Ice’, According to Investigate Journalist/NYTimes Best Selling Author of ‘Mysterious Yellow Book’...We just spoke with Greg Palast, whose Armed Madhouse paperback (or “mysterious ‘yellow book’”, as lazy Washington Post blogger, Emil Steiner “reported” it) was being waved and alluded to by University of Florida student Andrew Meyer just prior to his being Tasered by UF cops earlier this week.
Palast says he is offering the journalism student a job as a paid intern. Meyer had described Palast, in his question to Kerry about why he conceded the 2004 Presidential Election so early, as “the top investigate journalist in America.”
“Did you notice he never let the book touch the ground?,” an impressed Palast wryly noted.
No surprise there.
