I think alot of it has to do with a better trained Iraqi army, and the fact that the Iraqi's finally got sick of Al Queda

Am I the only one who is a little pissed about the flood of Chinese goods in the US. Everything I shop for pretty much has Made in China stamped on it, including the Bowflex I just bought. All of electrical parts to my RV are made in China. Has anyone completed a failure rate study on Chinese products like CFLs. I swear, I am trying to be good and cut down on my CARBON FOOTPRINT by buying CFLs, but they sure as Hell don't last more than a few months. I replace them more than the incandescent lamps which were cheaper too.

Let's Show the Hostage Taker Some Consideration

A hostage crisis is in effect at Hillary's New Hampshire Campaign office. An insurgent with a bomb strapped to his body has taken a few people hostage. While Hillary consults with the United Nations, police officers are stationed outside closely monitoring the situation. Close by, stand representatives of the ACLU to ensure that the insurgent's rights are in no way violated.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the hostages.

As the hostage taker demands to talk to Hillary, we hope that she respects his absolute moral authoritiy in this situation.

According to CNN, this hostage taker was denied the right to ask questions at the YouTube debate, as they producers weren't sure if his bomb qualified him as a voter who was Undecided.

Of course the hostage-taking is not staged. That would be stupid and back-fire horribly were it revealed.

Sadly there are nutters on the left who would gladly take this hostage-taker's place to make a political point about Iraq, or whatever.

If it is a political - not domestic - situation (do we know that yet?) this could be the democrat's flirtation with radicals coming to a head.

Um, I'm not aware of 100 times someone taking a political campaign headquarters hostage to compare it to, so speculating that it is just because his girlfriend broke up with him is simply speculation. Just the choice of venue makes it likely to be some kind of political statement.

Him wanting to speak to Clinton just makes that more likely. It is possible he's just a nut, in which case, the "bomb" probably isn't really dangerous, but the police can't act like that.

I wonder if the guy is asking to speak to Hillary because as of yet he doesn't have reason enough to kill himself?

Propellor Beanies have been a staple of SciFi conventions since whenever...

Science fiction author and cartoonist Ray Nelson claims to have invented the propeller beanie while still a high school student in 1947. The story is that he and some friends decided to take some pictures parodying science-fiction icons of the day. To represent a hero with an antigravity device, someone decided they should put a propeller on a hat, and Nelson quickly put one together from scraps of plastic he had lying around his room. One of his friends, George Young, believed at the time (and apparently still does) that Nelson bought the cap at a dime store rather than making it himself; Nelson maintains to this day that the cap was his invention. In any case, they all agreed the propeller beanie was a great joke, and Young later wore the hat at a science fiction convention—to much general approval. So Nelson drew a cartoon featuring Young in a propeller beanie as a symbol of science fiction fans. This cartoon led to other cartoons and eventually to an animated TV show called “Beany and Cecil” in which one of the characters, Beany Boy, wore the eponymous propeller beanie.
