While the poor oppressed Palestinians of Gaza walk in and out of Egypt unimpeded, bringing back new televisions, mobile phones, huge quantities of cigarettes and other survival necessities, Hamas and their Syrian cronies are calling for more murder.

DAMASCUS (AFP) - Hamas and Syria-based Palestinian radical groups called for stepped up resistance against Israel as they began a three-day “national conference” Wednesday while the Hamas-run Gaza Strip faced a crippling blockade.

“This is a meeting of rights and resistance,” Hamas supremo Khaled Mashaal told the conference in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which was also attended by Syrian officials and pro-Syrian Lebanese opposition figures.

Meshaal, whose group has controlled Gaza since last June, denounced the blockade imposed by Israel on the impoverished Palestinian territory, branding it a “tragedy and an immoral crime.

”I call for the pursuit of popular anger against the Zionists and the Americans until the blockade is lifted," Meshaal said.

In the streets. Rat traps. Warrens. In Gaza. In the West Bank. In Syria. In Lebanon. And their financial backers around the world, including here in the US.

Everywhere Hamas operates.

I've always wondered about that myself. If the Palestinians are so impoverished, how is it possible that every male over the age of five owns at least one AK-47 and is able to shoot gazillions of bullets into the air a dozen times a day?

Actually, i dont think that is true. From what i understand the EGYPTIANS have closed the Rafah and other border crossings into Gaza. So they only let in "humanitarian" aid. (you know, bombs and guns, so they can "fight" poverty!) though that border is open from time to time. but mostly closed as well, even fellow muslims dont want their bullshit and close the border. What really baffles the mind is why Israel actualy gives them electricity and water! Are they freaking nuts?

Israel giving the Sinai back to Egypt: Most Egyptians still want to destroy Israel.
Israel retreated from Lebanon around 2000: Hezbollah didn't think it was enough and still wants to annihilate Israel.
Israel handed the Gaza-strip "back" to the Palestinians: The Hamas fascists took power still only focusing on murder and mayhem even their "beloved" Palestinian Fatah-brothers and went on with firing at least 1800 Kassam-rockets at Israel.

painful lesson learned: Israeli concessions are making the Arab side only more radical.
It seems so simple: from now on first many many Arab acts of good-will
before any new Israeli ones.

It isn't: the united nations is very much pro Arab and is demanding everything from Israel and hardly anything from the Arab side.

I hope Israel can withstand the international pressure to giving in again: It's been already way too much.

I waded into the NY Times. They don't blame the fence on Israel, but do report that Egypt permitted this because of 'humanitarian' concerns brought on by the Israeli 'siege' of Gaza. Of course, there is no mention of the dozens of missiles fired daily from Gaza into Israel.

Nothing has really changed in the propaganda war. Regardless of what happens, why, and how, it remains Israel's fault since it won't just surrender and disappear.

I have this strange feeling that the next significant volley of Qassam rockets from Gaza will completely destroy the several kilometers of power cables running from the various Israeli power plants to Gaza.

Each and every tower will be hit, the cables will be vaporized; the stunningly improbable will be seen to have happened. But this is what happens when many random, unguided missiles are fired.

I'd buy a lottery ticket if I had this feeling about the lottery, but I don't.

But not to worry. Since the border to Egypt is wide open, running power from Egypt should be easy. With the incoming $7.6 billion, this should be a quick project.


As a side note, Arun Ghandi is a simp.

Putting up walls helps to keep snakes out, as do doors and windows that shut, and have a tight seal.

If this creates a snake pit, no matter; no one lives in a snake pit (it's been this way for at least 4500 years in India; either his logic fails, or he does not understand basic architecture and safety).

Besides, being able to identify where snakes are helps prevent snakebites.

Almost everyone knows these things.

My crystal ball says it will be a completely unforseen event.

The Gazans will aim at an Israeli settlement (or several) and launch, but for some unknown reason, all Qassams will veer off-target and strike, each and everyone of them, only electrical power transmission cables and towers (each and everyone of them, even if they're 50km away).

Even the power cables will vanish, right up to the generating stations, but, miraculously and inexplicably, the buildings themselves will be unaffected.

It's just one of those events that is so improbable, no one could foresee it.

Or, alternatively (using a different probabalistic model), it's like any of the stunts on "Jacka$$"; who would think anyone could get hurt, yet . . .

So you have the photos of the women sitting on the endless bags of UN welfare flour, people going to Egypt to buy consumer goods- cellphones, TV, cigarettes, candy(just like the people in Darfur do- because we know the Palis are the most oppressed people in the world- I read it on the BBC!), endless guns, bullets, rocket materials and the media keeps broadcasting/ writing the total BS about the oppressed Gazans. I say let The Egyptians take care of their brothers. Why should Israel do anything for people who want to kill them? The Bs statement about collective punishment - what about the collective lack of will to do anything about Hamas?

Speaking of strange people turning up in photos from Gaza, how about his one of a "militant gunman" ...with fair skin, reddish hair and freckles. Not too many Palis have red freckles.

Let's not go overboard with the conspiracy theories.
1) From 1918 - 1948 'Palestine' was a British Mandate. Plenty of time for Scotch/Irish soldiers to get busy,
2) From the 1960's to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 hundreds of Palestinian students went to the Eastern Bloc and sometimes returned with red-headed wives.
