Well I'm convinced.

I watched MSNBC this morning just to see how they would spin this and they didn't disappoint. They had a Washington Post reporter on (brain froze and can't remember her name, but you would recognize her) who is a very reliable regurgitator of liberal talking points. MSNBC first tried to suggest the quote was taken out of context, but even the lib from the Post wasn't buying that. Then MSNBC suggested it wasn't a big deal and didn't "have any legs", but the lib from the post wasn't buying that either. It went back and forth like that for the whole interview, MSNBC spinning for Obama and the lib from the Post refusing to play along. It just shows how MSNBC has become such a ridicolous shill for the far left that even the reliably liberal Washington Post won't agree with them.

It sure as heck was when my father attended (and my husband too) .. in my father's day Latin was required as well. Times have Changed!

It's so easy to be proud of your country when things are going your way, but it takes leadership and a real devotion to your country and one's own ideologies to feel pride when things don't look so rosy.

For example, it's easy for all of us here to feel pride when we see our troops go out or come home, or when we hear the first stirring bars of the National Anthem. It's only the true Americans that swallow their own personal pride and can be proud of their country when things don't go their way. For me, I'm always proud of our country on Inauguration Day, even if it's not for the candidate I supported. It's one day when we show the world through US pomp and ceremony how the orderly transfer of power works in a republic.

Mrs. Obama, America is not for the feckless or faint of heart for more so than other nations America requires a silent sort of pride that only those who have it understand.

I have found it (their talk of hope and change) the absolute height of arrogance about the Obama Campaign. Somehow without him I could have no hope in my country. And without him I not only should have no hope but there will be no change. I, for one, have nothing but hope in this country in spite of Mr. Obama. I wake up with nothing but hope. So, he gives people a lot of hope. But is it truly the goverment's purpose to give people hope? Of course not. Government doesn't exist to be a charity. It does not exist to make lives easier.

In addition, Mr. Obama believes that we need a "change". I am not entirely certain what kind of change he wants. This is one of the freest, most dynamic countries on earth. Anybody who wants to get ahead has the ability to do so. He is testament to that. Change to a more regulated, government-controlled society is not positive change. Our economy, in spite of the bumps we are currently facing, consistently grows and expands and allows everyone to participate who wants to.

Mr. Obama can keep his hope and change. I love my country just fine. We have done pretty darned well before him and will do just fine after him.

Then he follows up and tells them they ought to pay their parents back, they squandered their education and their parents money.
