-RetweetJaw-Dropping Reuters Hamas Propaganda

Mon, Mar 3, 2008 at 9:01:49 am PST

I thought I’d seen the worst, most blatant propaganda possible from the pro-Palestinian wire service Reuters, but this article takes their bias to a completely new level: Inspired by God, Hamas fighters battle on.

GAZA, March 3 (Reuters) - Abu Mohammed picked up his rifle, said farewell to his wife and six children and went out to face the Israeli tanks, helicopter gunships and missile-firing airborne drones.

“Being unable to defeat Israel is no reason to surrender,” the Hamas fighter said with a smile as he headed to the Gaza Strip’s front line last Saturday, ignoring pleas from his family to stay.

“My children and wife are very dear to me,” he said. “But reward in Heaven and the homeland are dearer.”

The 38-year-old furniture salesman says he is not afraid to die for the cause of destroying Israel and forging a Palestinian state on all Israel’s territory, the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

To Israel and its allies, Abu Mohammed and his comrades are Jew-hating terrorists. But Abu Mohammed sees himself on a mission from God to rescue his people from 60 years of misery as refugees since the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.

Unbelievable.

Well actually give them credit for honesty. That is how most of the Palestinians feel. They want to destroy ALL of Israel and drive those Jews into the sea that they are unable to kill. KNOW YOUR ENEMY! Now lets drop this joke of a road map and take care of business.

Actually, the chief ally of Israel is G-d Almighty. It's safe to say that He Who Spoke and the world came into being sees Abu Mohammed and his comrades as Jew-hating terrorists.

G-d is simply waiting for stiffer spines in Israel, and a different leadership cadre if need be, in order to rescue the Jews from 60 years of misery at the hands of a sea of genocidal Moon/War-god idolaters.

Good evening all LG Footballer,
I have been a reader for more or less three years and have been registered since November, don't comment much because I have been living in S. Africa for the last 20 years. I am returning to the US in the very near future(6-8 months). I have Conservative values(family, religion, freedom of choice, and a CAPITALIST). Most of my news comes from the web and Conservative blogs. What I am asking all the great people of this site and Charles is; Do you really think that the Republicans can win in November? It won't change my decision but I want to know what you all think.
Thanks
Erik

Masterful propaganda coup for the Arab world.

Even as we and they know that the 'palestinians' are simply the manufactured point of the Arab Goliath's spear pointed at Israel's heart, the arab world has succeeded in turning reality on its head, to the point where the tiny Jewish state, afloat in a sea of enemies whose population and land mass dwarf her own, is perceived as the Goliath.

“Being unable to defeat Israel is no reason to surrender,” the Hamas fighter said with a smile as he headed to the Gaza Strip’s front line last Saturday, ignoring pleas from his family to stay.

The inability to defeat Israel is no reason to surrender? Okay, you'd rather fight and die - having your children die because you teach them your hate, have their children die, for the same reasons - all without a chance of winning?

What's it called when you do the same thing over and over and expect different results?

Then again, they already know the outcome - they can't defeat Israel, but they're more than willing to keep killing and continue the carnage until the end of time.

There is something seriously wrong with the Palestinians and their leaders.

His family probably started to understand that Israel might take the gloves off for even a short time - and that would mean dead Hamas terrorist. There was a glimmer there, but not enough to knock any sense in to the hard core jihadis.

It's for that reason that the Israelis have to continue going after the jihadis in the West Bank and Gaza - killing terrorists despite these media reports of so-called civilian casualties.

I say so-called, because all these casualties are the responsibility and fault of the very terrorists who hide behind them, refuse to wear their dress uniforms that they all seem to have when they parade about and who blend in so as to maximize civilian casualties when Israel does strike back.

If the Palestinian terrorists want a fair fight, he's what they should do. Come out in uniforms and meet on the field of battle. Oh wait, that wont work for them.

How about Israelis start their own amateur rocket clubs - firing off their own version of kassams at Gaza using the technologies and materials at their disposal (pig grease I hear makes a great lubricant). /

Seriously though, there is no such thing as "proportional" response. The only response that is proportional is the response that ends the violence. So, if the Palestinians increase the violence after Israel fires back at the terrorists, then the Israelis need to ratchet things up more and start taking out Hamas leaders. All of them.

And so on.

The myth of the noble Saracen warrior lives on. And on. Even writer Ferrigno, in his two purportedly anti-Islamic books, "Prayers for the Assassin" and "Sins of the Assassin", just can't break away from the noble Saladin/pious Moslem bravely fights for homeland template.

(You can just imagine, of course, how a Jew, who declared he wanted to go to Israel and help defend it because that was what HaShem wants would be treated; there wouldn't be any puff-piece/whitewash article for him, that's for sure.)

As long as the heroic Moslem myth lives in, and is so widely accepted, we are all of us in deep begonias.

Thanks
Erik

Hey Erik.
FWIW, the election is in November, 2008. Since it hasn't happened yet, that means anything can still happen. So, yes, Republicans can still win it. Anything can happen.

True story: I didn't believe GW Bush would win his second term as president. I live in LA and the local media, especially the LA Times, were all convinced that Bush would get tossed out. They had everyone convinced that Bush did not have a chance in hell of getting re-elected. Funny thing happened: he did.

/Do I need one?

90 ratherdashing  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 9:33:05am

From the article:

Abu Mohammed -- his familiar rather than formal name -- went to fight on Saturday with an AK-47 assault rifle, two spare clips, and three Hamas-made hand grenades bearing the words "Qassam Brigades", the name of Hamas's armed wing.

Before leaving, he turned off his mobile phone, which Israel could use to track his movements, and switched on a two-way radio that connects him to other gunmen.

"Just like an army," he said.

On the verge of tears, his wife, who did not want to be named, sat in silence. "I know Jihad is a religious duty, but we need you. I need you and the children do, too," she said.

She's referring to the inward struggle, correct? That's the only Jihad I've ever heard about from Reuters.

91 Dom  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 9:33:40am

While I am in no doubt that it is sympathetic to Hamas, the article goes on to make some interesting points. It makes no attempt to hide Hamas' true motive being the destruction of Israel, it claims that "close to 60" - ie a majority - of those killed have been Hamas fighters (which might be an understatement), and it indicates that his wife resents his choice to fight Israel. Those are not the kind of tidbits most of our MSM are offering.

Abu Mohammed picked up his rifle, said farewell to his wife and six children and went out to face the Israeli tanks, helicopter gunships and missile-firing airborne drones.

See, this sentence speaks volumes about the big brave Jihad warriors, but not in the way the author intends.

The only reason this moron has gone out to "face down the Jew tanks" is because he knows full well he's fighting an army that has both hands tied behind its back.

He'll hole up in some mosque or hospital and then later claim he was involved in some great battle for his "homeland."

A clearcut majority of these wire stories-- whether from Reuters, AP, UPI, whatever-- are penned by Arab Muslims.

Of course, we know these Muslim journalists are just dispassionate, neutral observers, apolitical, ethical & deeply scrupulous; you know, just like the editorial board of the NY Times.

It makes you think, if we really want to get the inside scoop on what's going on with Iran's nuke project, why doesn't the NYTIMES or someone just ask Ahmadinejad to write an article about Iran's nuke program?

95 cookielady  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 9:35:20am
The 38-year-old furniture salesman says he is not afraid to die for the cause of destroying Israel and forging a Palestinian state on all Israel’s territory, the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

To Israel and its allies, Abu Mohammed and his comrades are Jew-hating terrorists. But Abu Mohammed sees himself on a mission from God to rescue his people from 60 years of misery as refugees since the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.

What's wrong with this? The reporter is actually telling the truth about the beliefs and aims and goals of these vermin. And, vicariously, telling the truth about the goals, aims and beliefs of all the vermin, regarding all the world and not just Israel.

Until the West realizes this is about the religion that fosters violent psychosis, and not poverty or some p.c. idea of 'fairness' or lack of education or any of the other leftist foundational excuses, we are doomed.

Their god is not our God. They worship a demon and they do demonic things in its name. They will continue to do so. We must face reality!

Israel is at war with ideological nutballs who's basis for existence is religious/racial genocide. Why should Israel, fighting for its own survival, allow its enemy to gain in strength? Why does the left wing think that such parity is required?

You have to kill the people who want to kill you. Plain and simple. Who cares if 45 islamic terrorists are killed fore every 2 IDF soldiers. Why does the ratio even matter. Israel has the technology and tactics to put an end to this Hamas crap. Why shouldn't it be allowed? Since when did people become ashamed of defeating our enemies in war?

Berlin, March 3 (Reuters) - Gerhard Mueller picked up his rifle, said farewell to his wife and six Hitlerjugend and went out to face the allied tanks, B-24's and P-51 Mustangs.

“Being unable to defeat the Allies is no reason to surrender,” the Nazi fighter said with a smile as he headed to the Siegfired Line's front last Saturday, ignoring pleas from his family to stay.

“My children and wife are very dear to me,” he said. “But reward from der Fuhrer and the Vaterland are dearer.”

The 38-year-old furniture salesman says he is not afraid to die for the cause of destroying democracy and forging a German superstate throughout Europe, the Americas and Africa.

To America and its allies, Mueller and his comrades are Jew-hating terrorists. But Mueller sees himself on a mission from Hitler to rescue his people from 20 years of misery as victims of the Versailles treaty and the establishment of Judaism in 2000 B.C. .

Competition should be fierce in such a crowded field, and the winner is by no means a foregone conclusion, but I nominate al Reuters, on the basis of this article alone, for this coveted prize.

It might even be necessary to award prizes in a variety of sub catagories, a Goebby, for Most Deceitful Fauxtography, an award for Most Outrageous Paliwood Production Published, or Broadcast Without Question By An Internationally Recognized News Agency, Best Actor In A Grieving Role, and on, and on.

Winners shall be announced annually on September 18th, to commemorate the publishing of the very first edition of the NY Times (as the New York Daily Times, until 1857), on September 18, 1851.

I'd round up my choppers, borrow some bombers from the US and flatten Gaza from one end to the other and after flattening it with bombers I'd send in my F-16s to hit anything I missed and then I'd send in my choppers to cut apart anything still standing. AND THEN I'd send my ground troops in.

Stiffer spines like:
A Joshua ben Nun.
A David and Jonathan.
A band of Maccabee brothers and their father.
Then again, Israel seems to thrive on odds of 100 against 1.
Israel Akhbar.

158 ragman  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 2:11:18pm

Israel has been giving these people land for decades and it's never going to be enough. Here they are self-professing to want "all" of Israel's territory. There's only one sure way to deal with such irrational zealots.

159 uptight  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 2:13:54pm

That is the most disgustingly obvious piece of propaganda masquerading as news, I've seen in a long time. Probably since the BBC kicked Barbara "Tears for Yasser" Plett into a less contentious area.

Of course, we're used to seeing handjobs like Fisk, but those are opinion pieces. This was supposed to be news.

Shame on Reuters. Yes it seems like a cliche, but truly, morally and professionally shame on them.

These old dinosaur news agencies should die out. The sooner the better.

160 PloniAlmoni  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 2:28:42pm

Who else but Nidal al-Mugrabi could write something so ridiculous...he's not even trying to pretend to be impartial anymore. Also, on the other hand, any normal person's reaction to this article should be shock and discontent with Reuters, so...maybe there's one bright side.

Somebody oughta rub Condi's nose in this shit.

Where's a King David when you need one...?

Heck, I'd even settle for a Jerimiah right about now...

re: #51 lawhawk

Spot on...this whole "proportional response" shit is nothing but madness designed by do-gooder/know-nothings with no concept of the horrors of war. They have this insane idea that it is better to make war a nicer endeavor...like putting doilies on our tanks and painting our bullets with pink flower designs will somehow make the act of trying to kill your enemy a more civilized act. It's pointless, like putting lipstick on a pig. Warfare is SUPPOSED to be brutal and vicious to discourage enemies from attacking us!

Nations engage in warfare, and they always will so long as we remain human. If you belong to a savage satanic death cult, then engaging in senseless warfare isn't considered evil. If you want to be part of a free and enlightened society, then you have to come to grips with the fact that the best way to keep the satanic death cult savages from slitting your throats is to have the military force to exterminate them...and the will to actually use it. The only other options available...according to their own unholy koran...is to become a dhimmi slave, or to have your head cut off.

166 rakkasan  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 4:25:47pm

The Road Map is done. Israel does not have a "partner for peace" on the other side of that line (or, for that matter, in the West Bank) and anyone who thinks they do is a blithering idiot. Condi. George.

167 rakkasan  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 4:43:33pm

"In the end, Israel will have to agree to our terms. There is no alternative to returning all of our Palestine."

Yes, there is. The alternative is to grant your wish for martyrdom and keep on granting it. Because that's the greatest thing of all, right? Death is sweeter than life, right?

One Greater than David, and of his lineage, is coming... sooner than anyone thinks.

Furniture Salesman? Makes me want to look twice next time I go in the LazyBoy store.
Why doesn't al-reuters call him what he really is. Stupid chattel for a morally corrupt bunch of trash. (And that is insulting trash)

170 profitsbeard  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 8:48:33pm

Abu and his playmates prefer the virgin-haunted Next World, because Islam makes this life so unutterably intolerable for its victims (AKA "believers") .

So, of course he wants to be dead.

It's a relief after living in Islam.

So send him off to Pimpland.

AKA "Paradise".

171 norar  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 9:21:25pm

Of course Reuter are rooting for the Arabs. OTOH, this is one of rare instances that spell what the Arabs really have in mind, and why talking about "peace process" is a joke.

“My children and wife are very dear to me,” he said. “But reward in Heaven and the homeland are dearer.”

Reminds me of Golda Meir words, that the peace will be possible when the Arabs love their children more than they hate Jews.

To Israel and its allies, Abu Mohammed and his comrades are Jew-hating terrorists. But Abu Mohammed sees himself on a mission from God to rescue his people from 60 years of misery as refugees since the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.

Now this is typical MSM "reporting". What about 20 years Gaza was in the hand of Egyptians? Why did not Egyptian gave the Paleos a state? Gazan Arabs knew perfectly well, that if they fight Egypt for independence all of Gaza strip would be flattened with tanks. ... and MSM aka "the world" would remain silent.

re: #5 loppyd

Not when it comes to Islam! look at all the BBC's programs on Islam. Even TV shows are Islam love fests like "make me a Muslim" or National Geographic Islamographic...

They only hate G-d if it is in a Christian or Jewish context.

173 UncleSam  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 10:47:43pm

The problem with the Middle East is that all the reasonable people have been killed off long ago, and they are left with a gene pool of violence-loving psychotic freaks.
If the Jews were gone, they'd just kill each other, because it's in their genetic code.
They live on hate.
It's the only thing that keeps them going.

174 UncleSam  Mon, Mar 3, 2008 11:00:11pm

OK, maybe I was a little harsh in that last comment, but the violence-loving psychotic freaks run everything in the Middle East, and the remaining reasonable people are scared to death of them, and so don't say or do anything to counter the psychos.

Abu Mohammed "I am not a jew hater, I just want to destroy them!
Now where's my Makeup? MAKE UP! Don't make Reuters Employees like they used to!"

176 TalkinKamel  Tue, Mar 4, 2008 8:23:20am

"Just because one cannot defeat Israel is no reason to surrender!" said Abu Mohammed, the plucky freedom fighter, tearing off his shirt and barring his bronzed, muscular chest as the CrusaderZionazi army bore down upon him. Showing great plucked, he laughed at the oncoming oppressors.

"Just because I want to destroy Jews doesn't mean I hate them!" he cried, using plucky kung-fu movements to avoid the deadly baseball bat wielded by Tonya Harding, "I am fighting for G-d, my homeland and to defend cute lil' big-eyed puppies from being murdered by American soldiers!" The plucky Saracen warrior then leapt (in a very plucky manner) over Tonya (weeping bitterly over her ice skates) and took down an Israeli helicopter, a soldier droid and a Sith warrior, merely by flexing his manly, plucky pecs at them! (Is that plucky, or what?)

"We will never surrender!" shouted the plucky Jihadi, ripping apart a tank with his bare hands, "We will liberate all the olive trees of Palestine!" In a manner too plucky for words, he then fought off a squad of militant Nuns Templars with great pluck, not to mentin savior faire. . . (etc., ad nauseum, and so forth.)
