There is a book called Christianity and the Constitution by John Eidsmoe that fits that description. It still speaks to me even though my last reading of it was years ago. I suppose that would be a classic by this definition.

For years, I've been complaining (including in New York Post columns) about the absurd outreach by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan to extremist Muslims in the Detroit area. As I've repeatedly noted, a monthly "BRIDGES" group meeting hosted by FBI award revokee and "former" Islamic terrorist, Imad Hamad, and U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy III a/k/a "Abu Porno," consisted of extremist Muslim leaders bitching and federal officials pandering to them, apologizing for their agents and prosecutors trying to doing their jobs against Muslim terrorists and other criminals. Now, we see the fruits of this absurd "outreach." The entire U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan has recused itself from the case against Iraqi spy Muthanna Al-Hanooti, indicted on Wednesday. The case must be tried by lawyers from Washington, who will have to fly in, eat out at nice restaurants, and stay at nice hotels . . . courtesy of the taxpayers.

Posted over on the Techweb Fitna post, comments down toward the bottom by American Veteran.
Why can't we all just get along...? I mean really, what's the problem anyway. Why all this negativity? I think we should all embrace the Muslim's and the Koran. After all they just want to show us a better way to raise our children and love our wive(s). True peace comes from having
two camels in the drive and a stick to beat the camel, the wife and the child with; plus a good sharp knive to cut the head off the infidel(s) who dare to speech against our peaceful coexistence with our fellow muslims. God is great - so long as your a muslim - if your not...well, we got a little something for you my freind. Here put on this blind fold, I want to show you a surprise! YES, let us come and reason together, lets
embrace one another in love and tolerance.

DOHA %u2022 The number of cases involving trafficking in women increased in Qatar in 2006, the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) has said in its report for 2006 released recently.A number of women were brought here – some of them against their will-to do immoral work. Many of them were brought on the pretext of being provided employment in hotels or clubs.
There are known places where immoral work is done and the networks involved are known too, the report noted. "There have been clear and convincing cases of trafficking in women in the country in 2006."
The victims were poor women who needed work. Then, there were cases of women working in households or companies who were exposed to sexual harassment.
Some runaway maids who fail to get employment or sponsorship change are forced to resort to prostitution, said the report.
There have been cases of abuse of the rights of domestic workers. They work for long hours, throughout the week and their salaries are low, not compatible with their work.
The report has also expressed concern over increasing cases of discrimination and violence against women and lamented the absence of exact statistics.

28 March 2008: Over the last few days, it’s been rather amusing to watch the reactions from the world’s Islamic population with regard to Geert Wilders film “Fitna” (available for viewing below or at this link). The movie is appropriately titled “Fitna,” which has multiple meanings yet all are related to pain or torment. He could have just named it “Islam” as that also means nothing short of pain and torment. Every ISP freaked out when that tasty tidbit came out this week. The ever politically correct company Network Solutions clamped down on the website that was supposed to show the film due to pressure from Muslims. Seems everywhere that film popped up, it was canned. It’s okay to post film of a terrorist attack or even a beheading or two, but not anything denouncing the cult of the devil himself, Islam. Adolph Hitler would have loved the Internet.Meanwhile, the FBI continues to warm up to CAIR and show them love while these terrorist supporting Muslims are continually exposed for having terrorist connections from their inception. People just fail to realize that CAIR is a tool, a well financed tool of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Saudi’s who are jihadi financiers funneling billions to terrorists worldwide while sharing warm cozy nights by the fire with people from our government in their lush palaces bought with your gasoline dollars. Yes, in a roundabout way, we are financing our own demise. Ironic, isn’t it? So go buy a SUV and preferably American made so at least someone benefits financially here in the United States before Armageddon hits the calendar.

Since its inception fourteen hundred years ago, Islam has been at war with the people of this planet. Millions of people have been literally butchered with the sword of Islam.
Some may argue that all religions at one point in time have committed crimes against humanity. That may be so, but none of the existing world religions' foundation has been based upon shedding the blood of its innocent victims. Islam lives, breaths and grows on blood. Once we take away this red element from Islam, Islam will vanish completely. Islam cannot possibly live in the hearts and minds of its believers. Islam needs to shed the blood of the infidels, meaning all non-Muslims. Islam is about world domination. It is utterly part of being Muslims.

Dubai buy the Queen Elizabeth II to Dubai! Will this ever end? When will the world WAKE UP?
...
Britain’s most famous ship, the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise liner, is being bought by the government of Dubai through the state-owned private equity firm Istithmar for $100 million US.QE2 currently belongs to Carnival Corp, the world’s largest cruise operator. Istithmar PJSC investment firm will take delivery of the 40-year-old ship in November 2008.
The Cunard liner is to become a floating hotel and museum that will draw tourists to one of Dubai’s man-made islands. The famous liner will be anchored off the Palm Jumeirah, a palm-fronds shaped island which is being built off Dubai’s coast by government-owned developer Nakheel.Dubai is the second-largest of seven sheikhdoms that make up the U.A.E. and is investing in tourism, real estate and financial companies to diversify away from oil. The largest visitor attraction under development is Dubailand, a $20 billion theme park and entertainment complex three times the size of Manhattan.

Author sees Islam's 20-year plan for U.S.Anis Shorrosh, author of ''Islam Revealed'' and ''The True Furqan,'' is a Christian Arab-American who emigrated from Arab-controlled Jerusalem in January 1967.
''The following is my analysis of Islamic invasion of America, the agenda of Islamists and visible methods to take over America by the year 2020,'' Shorrosh says. ''Will Americans continue to sleep through this invasion as they did when we were attacked on 9/11?''
1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.
2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves. In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the same, ''Abed.''
3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.
4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about favorable legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.
5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the Internet as possible by buying the related corporations or a controlling stock.
6. Yield to the fear of the imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of America – black gold. America’s economy depends on oil and 41 percent of it comes from the Middle East.
7. Yell ''foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran'' anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.
8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions and get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. (Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?) Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way.
Islamicnuts will try to take over

Freedom that’s restricted whenever it’s judged by people in power to be socially irresponsible is not freedom at all. There is no freedom when one must bow to the social sensitivities of those in power, or to those who simply threaten violence if freedom is expressed. This is actually a good thing for Europe because more and more people are now starting to see the true threat in which freedom lovers face. Ban Ki Moon and the UN are totally illegitimate and it’s pathetic that we still allow that lame organization on our shores. Freedom loving people all around the world, (left or right) need to stand up to those who would censor us every time we are critical of ones religion or social status.
Shame on Ban Ki Moon for cowering to evil, throwing freedom under the bus, and catering to his fraternity of Islamic dictators at the UN.

CAIR's credibility took another hit on March 26 when the former head of its Michigan branch, Muthanna Al-Hanooti, was charged with spying for Saddam Hussein.According to the indictment, Al-Hanooti would travel to Iraq and meet with conspirators of the Iraqi Intelligence Service. The indictment says that Al-Hanooti was rewarded with 2 million barrels of oil for his work.
Al-Hanooti joins a growing list of CAIR officials jailed for participation in terrorist activities or working with states that sponsor them.
One can read all about this rogues' gallery in the Investigative Project on Terrorism's massive "review of the history, activities, statements, and causes of and by CAIR." Published little by little beginning earlier this week, the report will serve as a one-stop reference for the many skeletons in CAIR's closet.
The good news for the Council on American-Islamic Relations is that March is nearly over. The bad news is that the rolling release of IPT's ten-part tome will extend into next month, ensuring that April starts badly as well.

In his opening speech at the Arab summit in Damascus, Assad singled out the Madrid conference and the Arab peace initiative, saying that Israel had responded to those proposals by massacring Palestinians, continuing settlement activity and building the security barrier. The Syrian president said Israel had used every opportunity to prove how uncooperative it is and questioned how long Arab nations can keep offering Israel a land-for-peace proposal.

It's small, it's free, it works fine. Just remember that a lot of programmes that grab embedded video from the likes of Youtube fail to rename the files with the .flv extension, so make sure you do that first if that's the case.

Today's joke of the day.
GoogleNews this phrase: former pastor and security concerns
[Link: news.google.com...]
The Democratic Party does not want this man visible, in the hope that they can change the subject.
So, they make up the lie that he cannot come out in public because of 'security concerns.' Whereas, in realty, they just want him out of sight and out of mind. This automatically makes him a Victim. A Victim Of Racism.
The Mainstream Media is all too happy to pick up this obvious lie and propagate it blindly, willingly, unprofessionally, dishonestly, and with extreme leftwing political bias. Just to lend their support to the Democratic Party.

British Defence Secretary Des Browne emphasised Saturday that the West must seek diplomatic and military solutions in Iraq and Afghanistan, including reaching out to extremist groups. With Britain's armed forces suffering from overstretch by being embroiled in both the wars, Browne said: "We can't do this forever and we aren't."
"What you need to do in conflict resolution is to bring the people who believe that the answer to their political ambitions will be achieved through violence into a frame of mind that they accept that their political ambitions will be delivered by politics," he said.

Islamicnuts will try to take over
I find it funny that African-Americans somehow think that a religion imported from Asia (Islam) is more African than another religion from Asia (Christianity).
Christ went to Africa with his parents as recorded in the Bible. Only wild and doubtful legends have him visiting Europe.
Africa was being Christianized before or at the same time as Europe. There are so many thousands of African saints that no church has anything close to a complete record of them. A few you may have heard of: St. Anthony the Great, St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Cyprian, St. Catherine, St. Athanasius.

This is a dangerous situation; our society is not safe for its women. Our streets, homes, and buildings, are all places which murder takes place in them. Women can no longer trust their male relatives; they fear their own fathers, brothers, and husbands. What kind of society is this if women don’t feel safe at any time or place? We strongly condemn this horrific killings and demand immediate justice for Sara.
We call upon all of you to write letters of protest to the Kurdistan Regional Government demanding:
-Justice for Sara, Amina, Du’a and many more women and girls who have been killed.
-end to all kinds of violence against women and so called honour killings.
-recognizing women as a human being and consider equal rights for them by law

When 17-year-old Doa appealed to the men to stop their attack, she was completely ignored. Surrounded by an excited, baying crowd of dozens of mature, burly men, she was beaten to death. Slowly. Having thrown her to the ground, they surrounded her and began a barrage of stones and chunks of concrete, mostly aimed at her head, deliberate blow after deliberate blow. Periodically she was disdainfully kicked by some of her assailants. Her suffering was dragged out for half an hour, long enough for many of the killers to film her death throes on their mobile phone videocams.Doa's crumpled figure now adorns several websites. This horror-porn emanates from Iraq, in particular, from Iraqi Kurdistan, my own homeland and one that I believe is descending into the wider maelstrom of religious sectarianism that is tearing post-Saddam Iraq apart. And in Doa's death, I think we can see a terrifying portent of a future Iraq increasingly eviscerated by primeval sectarian hatreds. But let us go back to poor Doa.

Greets and saluts from the NYC metro area. The Syrians are at it again, trying to blame Israel for not ceasing to exist - or as the Syrians are phrasing it - Israel is thwarting the peace process for more than 30 years.
Assad is wondering for how much longer Arabs are going to offer land for peace deals. Israel should be asking that very question - why are they being forced to give land for terrorists to do nothing but fire on Israeli cities ad nauseum just as they've done since Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza. Hamas has turned it into a terrorist breeding ground. To that end, Hamas says that it's developing new missile tech, but denies that it's getting the technologies and missiles from Iran. Well, they may be right - they're coming via Syria (from Iran). It's all too clear that Hamas is getting assistance from Iran, via training, sharing tactics from Hizbullah (another of Iran's proxies), and general support from the mad mullahs in Iran and the pencil necked geek in Damascus.

From the above article:
Not everyone was impressed."It is not very original," Yusuf Altuntas, deputy chairman of a Muslim umbrella group based in The Hague, said in a phone interview. "We have seen many of these images before. There was no shock so we don't think there will be problems in Holland. I can't speak for in the Middle East."
Of course they weren't impressed—they've been hosting these videos on their websites and watching them at family gathers while laughing and giving each other "high-fives".

Meanwhile British "academics" are weighing yet another boycott of Israel. How about taking a real stand - boycotting the Islamic countries that treat women as nothing more than uncovered meat - misogynistic thugs; boycotting Saudi Arabia for their treatment of anyone who isn't Muslim - restricting where they can go and whether they can even pray openly.
Those would be principled stands that are far more grounded in reality than the nonsensical and ongoing support for terrorists who seek to do Israel harm on a daily basis and refuse to be a partner in peace as they'd rather see Israelis in pieces.

Sometimes I grind my teeth when Glenn says that stuff. I'm not sure it's not a way to be able to spread the message. If he didn't say that, then his bosses (CNN and Clear Channel) wouldn't let him say anything at all. This way, he can get the message out without crossing the bosses. I"m hoping that's all it is...

Morning, lizards.
Sunny and 23 degrees along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Still cold, but the robins are singing.
I've officially given up on the used Grand Prix that I bought a couple of months ago, have done a lot of repair and replacement of parts. It runs fine, but it just doesn't "feel right"... ever had a car like that?
I'm chalking this one up to intuition, and putting it up for sale on Craigslist this afternoon.
I've found another little car that feels a bit more suitable... a Pontiac Sunfire. Runs like a dream, less mileage, new battery, 4 new tires, recent work on the suspension, brakes, engine and tranny.
Anyone here know anything about Sunfires?
I have car stuff on the brain today.

I hesitate to call them freaks, barbarians or savages. Parts of many barbarian and savage tribe cultures were actually somewhat compelling.
The Romans were appalled at the Celts (or Gauls) human sacrifices and head-hunting [sic], but also employed them to help them develop their rhetorical and public speaking skills.
There is one (formerly) savage tribe in Papua-New Guinea that has a language with over 120 verb tenses. They are able to be extremely precise in what they say.
Freaks—well make of them what you will.
Muslims are just Mohammedian. If you know of a better way to describe their atrocities and abominations, let me know.

The women in my family would stand by their husbands—the husbands would need the help. A man can only get hit so many times with an iron skillet before he gets a little wobbly.
Can you tell if any of the wives in these photos have bruised knuckles? Or the husbands with heavy make-up?

Advice for Miguel - learn torrents. I don't use limewire because of too many viruses attached to the files. Learn how to use torrents and grab some files from Mininova. Read the comments and "thank yous" and look at the seeders vs. leechers ratio, and odds are the higher the seeders, and the longer it's been seeding, the better the file. I've already downloaded three different Fitna torrents and let them seed. There's no way Fitna can ever disappear.
But we have to be vigilant in ensuring that we're passing around a clean copy and not an adulterated copy (which I suspect is happening already, based on the comments).

Tesla spent childhood with Bosnian muslims in his village, some people say that he converted to Islam, and I have red one his letter written in Bosnian where Tesla talks about muslims and Islam almost as a muslim, and he is wishing to hear Adhan(prayer calling) as he use to listen as a kid.
Tesla lived the last ten years of his life in a two-room suite on the 33rd floor of the Hotel New Yorker, room 3327. There, near the end of his life, when Tesla was slipping into what many consider an altered state of mind, he would claim to be visited by a specific white pigeon daily.

It is problem related with US citizens and government which does not treat all of them equaly, mostly American citizens are feed with lies.

Since aliases are used and no actual identifying information is listed, I think HIPA requirements are met. Most or all of the information was gleaned from a public forum, this website, and was posted by the person directly involved. The second and third party information, i.e. "Family, friend, and life situations" and "Community issues" may pose more problems if identifying information is released without permission. In any case, it is nice to ask permission regardless of legal requirements.

Second Arrest Made In Highway Shooting
Va. Cops: 16-Year-Old Suspect Is Friends With 19-Year-Old Man Arrested EarlierCHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 28, 2008
(AP) A manhunt for shooters whose potshots at passing cars shut down a mountain highway ended Friday when authorities stormed a central Virginia farm, arresting a teenager and firing at a man carrying a gun.
Investigators said they now believe the shootings that slightly injured two drivers were part of a long night of random gunfire in which the 19-year-old, a former high school athlete with a record of making trouble, and a 16-year-old also shot at a credit union and a residence.
[snip. The man "shot at" in the police raid is not mentioned again until paragraph #16:]
State and county police moved in on the farm just before 5 a.m., shooting a man who confronted them with a handgun, police said. Woodson was taken into custody, and the man was taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition. His identity wasn't released.

I do my taxes using Turbo Tax online. It's easy and doesn't take very long at all. It keeps my basic information from year to year, so a lot of it is simply fill in the blanks. Mostly you just answer yes and no questions, then type in the numbers. It's about 49 bucks I think.

Yes, the grill is top rated in Consumers as a best buy. Generally can't go wrong following their ratings. We had a charcoal grill at our apartment and it got seldom used because we had to roll it out and set it up each time we wanted to use it. Foreman grill did the job until now.

The Chicago Tribune this morning joins the chorus of apologists for Rev. "10,000 sq ft" Have-a-Wright-to-it. The headline: "Wright's sermons fueled by complex mix of culture, religion". The author, Manya A. Brachear (don't ask, I have no clue), is identified as a "Tribune Reporter". The article is below the fold on the front page. The article concludes on p. 14, and there is no notation (or Faith Footnote, if you wish) on either the front page or the jump page, that the article contains anything but objective reporting.
Blames the You-Tube culture - objectively, of course.

Amen.
Look, I place the facts on this forum all the time. The silence is startling. And this is not pure opinion for I always place links to the source of what I am presenting, for one example like actual quotes to the source.
The left is not the only one who presents half the picture simply for their own comfort.
I place very relevant links in the link depot only to check back to see nothing. A story of an elephant stuck in the mud receives more clicks.
So there you are and for certain, there lies the rub.
I say as I always have, we would be better served to reflect on ourselves first so we can learn and be inspired to not hide or run away from truth. Then and only then can we obtain insight into the other side!

Our pals over @ Techweb are covering the removal of Fitna also.
[Link: www.informationweek.com...]
Thank you. This is so interesting:
"The Organization of The Islamic Conference also denounced the film as blasphemy. OIC Secretary General Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said, 'The film is a deliberate act of discrimination against Muslims, incitement for hatred and an act defamation of religions which is solely intended to incite and provoke unrest and intolerance among people of different religious beliefs and to jeopardize world peace and stability.'"
So, how does that translate?
- We're not supposed to use our brains to distinguish between the practitioners of Islam vs. other religions.
- If we do so, it will cause us to hate those practitioners and Islam. We will think and say bad things about Islam.
- Knowing these things, we'll stop being so tolerant and might even kick up a fuss about the Islamisation of our society.
- This jeopardizes Islam's desired take-over of the world.
Did I miss anything?

Um - I found out this year that the federal turbo tax is free on-line. Then, to do your state taxes, you only have to pay $25.00 for the download for your state.
It could be different for the type of taxes you do, but that was my experience this year.

While doing some free form surfing this morning, I came upon this compelling article. Contained therein was the following:
To a very large extent, most attempts to understand the disintegration of Western culture and society addresses symptoms, such as the growing threat of Islam in Europe. Islam is like an opportunistic parasitic disease that thrives on the "flesh" of dying societies—Islam is no threat to healthy civilized societies because it has no appeal to people of such societies or power to influence them.
The cure for the Islamic threat is the same as the cure for all other apparent threats to civilization, the establishment of the principles of civilization in individual minds. The alternatives that are always proposed are social or political solutions—which is exactly what has been the cause of the anti-civilizing revolution of the West.
Read the whole thing.TM It goes a long way toward explaining why the American fifth-column, and lefties in Europe, are so chummy with the islamofascists, or any other force that is corrosive to the West.

Abbas has urged the international community to send military forces into Gaza in the past, but this is the first time he has called on Arab countries to send their troops into the region. (Roee Nahmias)

-lay out thin slices of tomato on top of the omelet with cheese slices on top of the tomatoes.
-Turn down the heat to low and let that cheese melt all over those tomatoes.

She was one person behind Chrissy when somebody in the group yelled we love your politics. Chrissy got mad and said it's not politics it's my life and stormed off. My friend never got to meet her and the crowd yelled at the idiot who shouted the politics slur. Pretty funny.

I actually find that very sad.
i find it very sinister. i'm starting to wonder abt. all this growing resentment we are seeing in the black religious community. i just thought it was a few kooks like sharpton and jackson, who always seemed to me, more like cartoon characters. it's shocking that highly educated people are falling for the likes of rev wright. does this mean there has been an under current of hate going on for yrs, w/ the flood gates just now bursting open? what abt. all the progress made starting in the '60's? why the black separatism angle after all that? what abt. martin luther king? is he 'out of style' at this point?
people are being used and deceived. we don't need this in our country now.

Hello Felicia, Hope all is well with you and yours.
Thank you, conservgirl, we are fairly well (the usual complaints, LOL).
It takes almost a year to get any serious health question addressed in Canada. The family doctor sends a referral to the specialist. It takes at least four months to see the specialist. If s/he orders tests, it can take at least two months to have the test, then two to four months to see the specialist to discuss the test results.
In my family, one of us is often at some point in this cycle. But so far, so good.
I hope you & yours are well, conservgirl.

I might have to resort to something awful like inviting them to a potluck dinner or something. Makes me mad just thinking it could happen.
The Salvation Army comes to mind.
Actually, I thought of them as I wrote this. Wm. Booth (founder of the Salvation Army) did not see any church that was doing these things except in a sort of hit-or-miss arbitrary way. He decided to create a church loosely based on Wesleyan principles that had active compassion as its primary focus. While I would say some of their religious beliefs are heretical, no one can fault them on their actions. Compassion will cover a multitude of sins. No doubt there will be quite a few Salvation Army bands in heaven.

Sorry, wrong Georgia. I'm from Texas. David IV got annoyed with creeping Islam and passed laws to keep it in check. Outraged that the Muslims had to behave like everyone else, the Caliph called for a Jihad. Though greatly outnumbered, the Georgians didn't just win, they traumatized their foes.
