-RetweetLiveLeak Restores 'Fitna'

Mon, Mar 31, 2008 at 8:17:40 am PDT

They upgraded their security and are thumbing their noses at the medieval morons: LiveLeak.com - Fitna the Movie: Geert Wilders’ film about the Quran (English). Kudos to LiveLeak for taking the kind of principled stand our mainstream media won’t.

On the 28th of March LiveLeak.com was left with no other choice but to remove the film “fitna” from our servers following serious threats to our staff and their families. Since that time we have worked constantly on upgrading all security measures thus offering better protection for our staff and families. With these measures in place we have decided to once more make this video live on our site. We will not be pressured into censoring material which is legal and within our rules. We apologise for the removal and the delay in getting it back, but when you run a website you don’t consider that some people would be insecure enough to threaten our lives simply because they do not like the content of a video we neither produced nor endorsed but merely hosted.

Good for live link. It's called freedom of speech - freedom of information.

The DNC/MSM think that images of 9/11 are hate speech.
If only they could find a way to edit the footage and blame Bush /Cheney.
That's why we don't see images of 9/11 anymore. It doesn't fit the left-wing/ignore all things Islamofascist paradigm. Which places left-wingers in bed with the islamothugs.

I think they handled the entire thing admirably well. They responded to the threat against the people they had responsibility toward by assuring as much as possible that those folks were safe. Then, having made adjustments to preserve safety to the greatest extent that you can in a FREE society, they upheld their principled position. As far as I can see or understand, that is PRECISELY what we all need to do in the face of such craven intimidation. Bravo!

Someone else linked to Ayan Hirsi Ali's reaction to Fitna. She pointed out, quite eloquently, that the Dutch parliament were the ones insulting muslims, by treating them as though they were a bunch of savages who were incapable of rational reactions. She argued that what Geert Wilders was trying to do is not an insult to islam at all, but rather treating them as though they are adults, who can enter into a discussion. Muslims have not missed the opportunity to show that the Dutch parliament was right, and that all one has to do to insult islam is to point out what mulims have done.

If that should happen, I would hope for every free man in Europe to pour out of his home, his office, his factory and chase these Muslim barbarians back to the hellholes from whence they came!

The pressure is building in the kettle; this cannot continue forever and eventually an event will occur which triggers an overwhelming response from those who will not bend knees for Islam. The trouble is, the longer the pushback is delayed, the more violent the result. I would hope this clash of civilizations could be resolved without bloodshed, but I now believe we are several years too late for that opportunity. Islam is firmly rooted in Europe and feels entitled to plunge Europe into the second Dark Ages. The Second Awakening will not be easy.

I have contacted liveleak in order to make a financial donation. I urge EVERYONE here to do the same. Think of what they are risking and think of what you've done lately (or not) to push back against the neanderthals! The least you can do is help LiveLeak take a stand by easing their financial burden.

104 Alberta Oil Peon  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 9:55:00am

I think the whole episode has come off rather well. The film was made with the expectation of provoking a violent reaction from the Islamists, and death threats against Liveleak certainly qualify.

The Islamist reaction against Fitna simply reinforces the premise of the film.

By temporarily withdrawing, and then restoring the film, Liveleak has ensured it will get many more views than it might otherwise have had.

Fitna is propaganda, but it's propaganda for a righteous cause, and it's gratifying to see that it's being handled in such a way as to create a desire to view it amongst the public. We need to put a lot more effort into the propaganda war against radical Islam.

I like to leak too but that is another story. I have watched Fitna and copied to my hard drive. It is internet quality but, still very compelling and worth the watch. Too bad the people that would benefit from it will NEVER SEE IT. They will keep their eyes shut until the death shroud is lowered over their faces. And that is the ultimate irony!

Since that time we have worked constantly on upgrading all security measures thus offering better protection for our staff and families.

Translation: it is costing us a lot of money to stand up to these bullies and bring FITNA back online.

Bravo, LiveLeak!

re: #106 realwest

OT - this is driving me crazy - every single time I close out of either LGF or simply shut down my computer, and then try to get back on LGF, I have to Log In again!
I'm using Windows XP and Maxthon Browser (which Charles says is just a shell over IE) and can't find any way to "enable" or for that matter "disable" cookies!
Anyone have any idea of why I can't automatically be logged in? This is a new development, btw, I've been able to get on LGF without having to log in every darn time I get to LGF until a few weeks ago.

Have you installed any security updates lately?
If so, try doing a system restore.

113 Irish Rose  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 11:12:51am

If that doesn't work, dump all of your cookies then try logging in again.

Good on LiveLeak.

I'd be more than happy to stand sentry duty for anyone hosting the truth about Islam.

118 mksmothers  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 12:17:59pm

I was on paltalk this weekend in an Islamic room attempting to discuss it.

The conversation basically went like this:

Them: It insults our prophet.
Me: Really, which part insults the prophet?
Them: The whole movie.
Me: Okay, what part particularly insults the prophet?
Them: The whole movie!
Me: Have you actually seen the movie?
Them: NO, but it insults the prophet.
Me: Okay, what particularly was factually inaccurate about the movie?
Them: The whole thing was propaganda done by the Jews?
Me: I'll ask again, what exactly was inaccurate about the movie? The move quoted the Qu'ran, showed someone who claimed to be Muslim quoted the Qu'ran, and then someone who claimed to be Muslim used the Qu'ran verse as justification for that violent act. Are you saying that when the terrorist quoted the Qu'ran in frame One, shouted Alu Akbar in frame two, then held the head of a journalist in frame three, the film was actually NOT showing a terrorist using the Qu'ran for violent justifications?
Them: It is a Zionist plot to make us look bad.
Me: Are you going to answer my question?
Them: You Christians just want to insult our prophet. Look at the mess in the United States.
Me: Are you going to answer my question? Can you at least admit that some people rightfully or wrongfully use the Qu'ran as justification for terrorism?
Them: Terrorism? Its terrorism for the US to invade Iraq.
Me: Are you going to answer my question? Don't you realize that Islam looks bad when you don't even bother to condemn those who use your Qu'ran for evil purposes?
Them: It is an evil movie designed by Zionists to make us look bad!

...and so on...

The content of the movie is merely showing how some people are using the Qu'ran for bad purposes. When the KKK have a parade and use the Bible to spew their ignorance, Christians show up and outnumber them and shout them down. Where is this in the Islam world? They would rather ignore the problem and go into victim mode. Throughout the evening conversation I heard again and again "Zionist plot." I've come to the conclusion that you can't reason with them, you simply must defeat them.

Well done LiveLeak

BEHEAD THOSE WHO CAUSE ISLAM TO BE INSULTING!

/fixed that for ya... %-)

re: #118 mksmothers

Ya' know, this movie could have just as easily been produced and distributed by Muslims as a propaganda video. There really is no difference. Except for the calls of condemnation from the left.

Somebody remember this site next time the fiskies come up. They definitely deserve one.

123 Quodlibetarian  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 1:11:01pm

Charles,

PLEASE don't dignify these idiots with the epithet of "medieval"! They have no more in common with the age of Anselm, Abelard, Aquinas et al than they do with ours.

"Paleolithic" is, I think, the more appropriate term.

124 ryukyu  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 2:23:00pm

The website themoviefitna.com has been hacked or redirected. As always, if they don't agree with the message they try to stifle it.

W00T!

Score one more for brass balls and free speech exposure of fanaticism!

126 64warhorse  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 3:52:18pm

Outstanding!

127 johnnyreb  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 4:47:36pm

Just showed this to the wife. She was almost sick and now I suspect she has a clue when my words alone weren't enough. The part in the UK train station convinced her.

128 soulpile  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 5:16:22pm

Awesome. It makes me glad to see this statement from LiveLeak.

129 EE  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 6:53:32pm

Three cheers for LiveLeak!

130 Orangutan  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 7:11:07pm

Thank you...I had not seen that video before now. Kudos to Liveleak, kudos to LGF. Thanks.

I wish to commend the following for their bravery, their commitment to freedom of expression, and for being willing to shine a light of revelation on the concerns confronting the world today:

Geert Wilders
LiveLeak
Scarlet Pimpernell
Charles, Lizardus Primarus

132 AZfederalist  Mon, Mar 31, 2008 8:12:20pm

Good for them.

Now, what was insulting to Islam in this film. It quotes their scripture and shows factual occurrences. Oh yeah, don't insult radical jihadists with facts. I always forget that little detail

133 lightmourn  Tue, Apr 1, 2008 7:40:54am

When exactly did the muslims rule the world? I must have missed that in my history book.
