Nazimedia in Fine Form

Thu, May 15, 2003 at 10:00:35 am PDT

Nazimedia is calling LGF “right wing warmongers” again, and whining about their removal from Google News here. This is funny:

Indymedia activists and friends are urged to write to Google in support of the reinstatement, and to work towards ensuring that those newswire items which give Indymedia a bad name ("Zionazis..." etc) get removed before they end up in the RSS feed.

Whoever is responsible for removing the items containing words like “Zionazis,” or the “9/11 was a Zionist plot” items, is going to have a serious full-time job on their hands.

Here are three examples, just from today. (Hat tip: NC.)

Whitewashing the terror-supporting ISM (again) as “non-violent peace activists.”

A venomously antisemitic post titled (all in caps, naturally) JUDEO-CHRISTIAN DECADENCE AT THE FOUNT OF POWER, written by “Al Cronkrite,” who seems much more concerned with the “Judeo” part than the “Christian.” I guess since this article doesn’t use the word “Zionazi” it’s fine with their ever so scrupulous moderators. Julius Streicher would have been proud of them.

And the tin foil hat brigade chimes in with this lovely item: Did U.S. Military Shoot Down "Space Shuttle" with a LASER?

Didn't you have a post yesterday about Nazimedia getting back on Google news? If they were kicked again within 24 hours that is hilarious. Even better than if they had never been allowed back on.

3 Spiny Norman  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:10:18am

How are the "zionazi" items any different from the rest of the loony adolescent fantasies they run there? It is not just the word that's obscene, it's their whole premise. Is it OK to preach hate, so long as certain naughty words are not used? I'm boggled.

Indymedia: home of those brave souls who "know" the X-Files were not TV fiction, but "dramatic re-enactments of real events."

Too funny! In the early '80s I was working on a test in the Utah desert. We set off 500,000 pounds of Comp-B explosives to test a bunker design. When the fireball erupted the high speed video got disrupted for a microsecond. The result was on the still picture printed it appeared to have a yellow line from the top of the picture to the bunker. We convinced a whole bar full of people it was a test of a Star Wars satellite! These moonbats will believe anything!

Re: the Space Shuttle thread.
They even got the wrong Shuttle name. The TFH Brigade ar truly a sad lot.

You know, Google is planning on creating a separate search engine just for blogs - when that is done, it should ease a lot of the confusion as to where things belong. But one thing for sure, indymedia is not a 'news' source.

This was found on THAT site on Monday.

"Canadian MP nominates ISM for Nobel Prize" (Indymedia)
"Dear Committee Members,
As a member of the House of Commons of Canada, and as the International Human Rights advocate for the New Democratic Party of Canada, it is my pleasure to nominate the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) for the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize.
The contribution of the ISM to advancing the cause of peace in the Middle East, to defending human rights, and to upholding international law is without parallel. This Organization's selfless efforts to promote peace and protect the lives of innocent civilians in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict clearly merit international recognition.
Although this nomination is for the ISM as a whole, three young individuals merit particular recognition for the courage and resolve they displayed in their acts of non-violent civil disobedience in defence of peace and human rights in the Palestinian Occupied Territories.
These individuals are Brian Avery and Tom Hurndall, who miraculously survived sniper shots to the head by Israeli forces while they were defending Palestinian civilians from Israeli troops, and Rachel Corrie, who was crushed to death by an Israeli Defence Force bulldozer while attempting to prevent the demolition of the home of an innocent Palestinian family.
A Nobel Peace Prize for the ISM would be a fitting testament to the fortitude and principle exemplified by the members of this organization and these three individuals in particular.
Thank you for accepting this nomination.
Sincerely yours,
Svend J Robinson, MP"

Well, where to begin. F-it, why bother.

the shuttle

About 15 of their home videos strung together gave the world the only composite look at the disaster, a patchwork of images that showed the orbiter streaking across the sky, losing a piece of its left wing every two or three seconds before finally breaking apart over central Texas, killing all seven astronauts aboard.

"I don't think any of us in our wildest dreams would have thought the public would have captured that much video," said Paul Hill, a NASA flight director who took charge of gathering evidence in the disaster's aftermath.

shuttle observations

the tin foil hat crowd, instead of beginning with an observation, -- start with a lie and go from there
-a lie or an arbitrary statement
religious people do this too
there's nothing mysterious about their technique

Good Gravy! You'd think with all the government manipulation, secret cabals, media to pollute, blood to drink, gene pools to pee in, banks to control, and ethnic bombs to manufacture, the Jooos wouldn't have time to develop vaccines, improve health care and medicine, develop efficient farming techniques, develop and manufacture computer parts, etc. that make this world a better place. Yet, they do. The Jooooooos must use technology gleaned from Area-51 to squeeze extra hours into the day, like they do for Shabbat and Yom Kippur.

Anybody have extra aluminum foil? My hat is getting a little tight.

13 tom  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:42:42am

you read the part about the challenger blowing up. hahahahhhh, the challenger not the columbia.....these people are great, i swear, i haven't laughed that hard in a while!

14 pentaxian  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:46:50am

According to one of the posts:

But a few of my loonie right wing friends have alluded that LFG is nothing more than a mouth piece for pro-Israel lobby and Jewish groups in North America.

Kooks of the World, Unite!

15 The Law Student  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:47:59am

I've been wondering about this for a while: the typical leftist when he reads on indymedia about how J-E-W-S are shooting down shuttles; and Cuba is a flourishing democracy and by adopting Shari'huh? America will be improved - does he/she shrug it off? agree with it? tut tut the misguided who've signed up as fellow travellers with the commies?

16 tom  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:48:56am

oh my god this hilarious

LFG pose as a graphic design/web design company that is funded by Federation UJA and other Jewish organizations. "Charles", the "owner" of the site, claims to be some non-Jewish supporter of Israel and other similar terrorist regimes. It appears that the Jewish community really cooked up a good cover with LGF, because most seem to buy their garbage. But a few of my loonie right wing friends have alluded that LFG is nothing more than a mouth piece for pro-Israel lobby and Jewish groups in North America.

Hahahaha, I can't stop laughing!

17 PDM  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:49:41am

Challenger, Columbia... whatever...same thing right?
I know WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

18 Occasional Reader  Thu, May 15, 2003 8:55:18am

Did the so-called "military" shoot down the so-called "space shuttle" with a so-called "laser"? And did the so-called "dinosaurs" build so-called "Stonehenge"?

19 NC  Thu, May 15, 2003 9:01:29am

tom (#16)--That really is hilarious. That's gotta go on the front page.

20 Bender  Thu, May 15, 2003 9:46:52am

16 - the people at indymedia will start throwing fits when they suddenly realize that their favorite website is really a cover for what I used to think was the single most evil force on the planet (communism) but have realized is really the SECOND most evil foce on the planet (the Jooos err... nm.)

Conspiracies are all the rage in world politics these days. A majority of Arabs believe that Israel was responsible for the September 11 attacks. Antiwar activists believe that the U.S. government "created" Saddam Hussein. And, of course, there's endless innuendo surrounding the relationship between prominent neoconservatives and U.S. foreign policy. Critics across the ideological spectrum accuse neocons of being a foreign policy cabal, stealthily fomenting their own conspiracy theories as a way of manipulating the Bush administration. Or are the critics themselves guilty of conspiracy-mongering? Will the real paranoids please stand up?

Amid all this back and forth, it's both instructive and eerie to re-read Richard Hofstadter's classic essay, "The Paranoid Style in American Politics." Conservatives have never been fond of the essay, since its chief target is "the Goldwater movement." But Hofstadter was careful to note that the conspiratorial bent has infected disparate ideological movements over the course of American history. And today, though Hofstadter's description fits some aspects of neoconservative discourse, it applies with far greater force to neoconservatism's wild-eyed critics.

Hofstadter clinically observed key symptoms that were emblematic of the paranoid style:
The paranoid spokesman sees the fate of conspiracy in apocalyptic terms--he traffics in the birth and death of whole worlds, whole political orders, whole systems of human values. He is always manning the barricades of civilization....

"As a member of the avant-garde who is capable of perceiving the conspiracy before it is fully obvious to an as yet unaroused public, the paranoid is a militant leader. He does not see social conflict as something to be mediated and compromised, in the manner of the working politician. Since what is at stake is always a conflict between absolute good and absolute evil, what is necessary is not compromise but the will to fight things out to a finish. "

The Paranoid Style in American Politics

By Richard Hofstadter†

Harper’s Magazine, November 1964, pp. 77-86.

It had been around a long time before the Radical Right discovered it—and its targets have ranged from “the international bankers” to Masons, Jesuits, and munitions makers.

Indymedia comment posted under crackpot Al Cronkite's rant (guaranteed verbatim...as Mark Stamaty of the Voice used to say):

No, really, Bush Is A Commie Cablist, honest! (english)
Alberta Cronkite, Esq 2:57pm Thu May 15 '03

Al Cronkite, my son (he's moved into my retirement village here in Florida) doesn't go far enough enough. Bush is really a Commie. All those meetings with Putin, ha! Putin, head of KGB, come on. Indymedia mates, join with me. Condemn Bush. He's a Commie and enemy of us Nazis. We must continue to blame the Jews. We all know the Commies always loved the Jews, starting with Marx, half the founders of the Russian Revolution. We must be strong, stay with our Nazi roots. We are Indymedia!!!

Indymedia has become so bizarre as to defy satire. Reading their threads is like a trip through the looking glass: Jooos here, Jooos there, Jooos everywhere. I'm going back to something more sensible and tolerant, like clearguidance.

28 piglet  Thu, May 15, 2003 6:14:47pm

Please forgive the double post, but this is time sensitive.

Rachel Corrie's parents will be on KPFK ( a jew hating NPR/ Pacifica radio station)
on Friday, 5:00 pm, Pacific time.

THe show can be heard over the internet:
go to

[Link: www.kpfk.org...]

Jerry Quickley is the asshat that will be hosting the show called
Beneath the Surface.

A chance to call in and talk to them.

And even more vile:

[Link: www.mpac.org...]

In commemoration of Rachel Corrie, an American activist who was killed in the Occupied Territories by an Israeli tank as she blocked the path to a Palestinian home, the Muslim Public Affairs Council is proud to organize and sponsor, "Freedom Summer: A Celebration of Courage". The event will take place on Saturday, May 17th, 2003 in Los Angeles (see directions below).
During the dinner, which will feature Rachel Corrie's parents, International Solidarity Movement activist Adam Shapiro, poetry by Dima Hilal and Jerry Quickly of KPFK Radio and Palestinian Debke by the Bir Zeit Society, MPAC will award the Corrie family with MPAC's "Courage Award".
MPAC believes that Corrie, who was an activist with the International Solidarity Movement, should be given the courage award for her deep conviction and willingness to in non-violently defy oppression and violations of international law and human rights.

Wait... now it is a tank that killed her?

These guys can't even keep their own stories straight.

It is worth noting that there was a laser incident involving the space shuttle Challenger in 1984, but that was the Soviet Union shooting a low-power laser at the Challenger as a "warning shot" in response to SDI plans.

You can read about it all here.

[Link: www.astronautix.com...]

Not that those dumbsh**s at Indymedia would care if communists did something bad, since it would have been in protest of the military-industrial complex.
Challenger

Jason Raimondo had never come up on my radar screen until I read an attack on him in an article in National Review (Yeah, you heard me right! I read National review-I like their take on foreign policy) written by David Frum called "Unpatriotic Conservatives." Frum attacks various anti-war conservatives, like Pat Buchanan and the heretofor obscure Raimondo. If you check out the website of the notorious Al Cronkrite, Etherzone.com, you can find this Raimondo character-living, breathing proof that, while these days, the vast majority of Anti-semites seem to be lefties, right wing anti-semites are by no means extinct.
