Sun, Jul 13, 2003 at 9:58:27 am PDT

Aaron Weisburd has dug up some very incriminating information on a former Evergreen College student, and possible ISM member who traveled to Israel in December 2001 to act as a “human shield”—admitted cop killer Andrew McCrae, who bragged about the murder to his fellow freaks on Indymedia: The human shield turned cop killer.

Jeez, another one of the Evergreen State moonbats...oopsie, I mean "idealists".

WA State residents - I think it's time for us to contact our state legislators (along with John Carlson, the KVI-AM talk show host - I think this is an issue he'd love to sink his teeth into) and suggest that Evergreen State be closed down or at the very least converted to a private, non-taxpayer-supported institution. This place isn't a college, it's an indoctrination camp.

9 John  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 8:11:07am

The article repeats the statement "He traveled to the Middle East last Christmas to act as a human shield between the Israelis and Palestinians". It should have repeated the statement "McCrae's family told an investigator that McCrae is an idealist."

Why isn't "idealist" a pejorative?

10 Faigalah MD.  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 8:11:45am

on the ISM website they have a list of their members that the IDF arrested. One Israeli Jew, and the Canadian sounds like he has a Hebrew name,I feel nauseated.

11 someguy  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 8:19:25am

Has anyone else followed the Aaron's link to the article still posted on St. Louis Indymedia?

They have hypocritically demanded that we not be armed during our interactions with them, for ‘officer safety.’
They have confiscated guns and knives for trivial reasons, severely damaging the American right to revolution, forcing us into channels of change that the authorities themselves control.
They have subverted our personal human interactions by requiring government permission for public gatherings.
They have wrenched our public property away from us by closing parks at night, preventing loitering, and harassing skateboarders.
They have waged a war on poverty-

-outlawing panhandling, public sleeping, and hitchhiking.

There's got to be some way to get whatever extra chromosome this guy's carrying out of the gene pool, or else we're all doomed.

12 dennisw  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 8:21:10am

Great work Aaron! The guy is flipped out and a cop killer. And part of this sensitive soul's life journey was joining the ISM in the territories. He also took part in anti globalization marches.

Use keywords:
Andrew McCrae Mickel

And you will get many results on usenet and internet

13 Model4  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 8:21:42am
According to a second report, McCrae's family told an investigator that McCrae is an idealist.

Can anyone else think of any evil, sick and twisted persons who could also be described as "idealists?" I knew you could. Now all we need is for his parents to be giving press conferences stating that they had no clue he was such a menace, that it's someone else's fault, and above all that "he's a good boy."

And if convicted in CA of the premeditated murdering of a lawman in cold blood, he won't be executed. Even if assigned the death penalty in court by a jury of his peers. "Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent."

18 Jim in Virginia  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 8:33:02am

Way OT- but there is a half page ad in Washington Post Sunday Outlook section from one Paul A. Francis, Annandale Virginia: “The 2004 election will come too late” Excerpts:
”Future prospects (for the US) are deteriorating rapidly with the abuse of critical allies, particularly France…; the crippling of the United Nations…”
(blah blah)- Francis asks Cheney to resign, Bush to name a new VP, and then Bush to resign. With the right person in charge we can address the critical issues.
Think that’s weird? His policy suggestions are even better:
“We have to know what Hamas will die for. If ‘the extermination of Israel’ does not preclude the creation of a single Palestinian state that will guarantee religious freedom and grant equal rights to all its citizens, that may be the best outcome possible...
“Agree to bilateral talks with North Korea. We can no longer afford the risk of a nuclear war because we have delicate feelings about the appearance of blackmail…
“It is conceivable that the transfer of power may create a honeymoon period even with Al Qaeda. We should open communication with the organization to learn what their grievances are. We might be able to negotiate to protect the integrity of Islamic tradition from the most threatening forms of Westernization. We have no right to impose our First Amendment on other countries.“

I swear, I'm NOT making this up!

The ad says Francis is a “retired executive of the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS. He can be contacted at artpaf@cox.net”

Morning everyone.

Smashing nice work, Aaron. I was going over your site last night again just to browse and I'm so damned happy you're out there. Thanks. :)

I feel sort of bad for the ISM right now. They're in a slump. Doesn't it feel like every single psychopath has somehow infiltrated their peaceful and loving Stalinist/Anarchist movement? Some might think that is a contradiction in terms for defining yourself, but it seems to make sense to these youg, passionate, believers.

We can't judge them too harshly for inviting so many unbalanced and youthfully indiscrete people within their midst. How would they know? After all, they really believe in their cause. I saw such great things for them over the years: ending the Israeli occupation of all of Israel, liberating Hamas revolutionary political zealous idealists, ending globalization, destroying the WTO, helping Bin Laden become more understood in the West, helping the Communists win back power in Russia, killing all the oppressive cops in the world today, standing in the way of bulldozers while defending people who target Jews, harboring and giving safe haven to martyrs (suicide bombers)...etc...

But now this has to go and give them a black mark on their records and a bad name. I tell you, don't they get any breaks at all?

But remember everyone: obviously this guy was part of the military wing of the ISM, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the political wing of the ISM...

...right? :)

43 selpaw  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 10:00:55am

aaron...Saw that myself. I wonder if the
Israeli police will have to say it was done with
the cooperation of the palestinian police?

What pissess me off is that in 48 hrs any
number of terrorists could be arrested by the palestinians but they refuse to do it.
When they do arrest their one or two 'token' terrorists
they turn around and use the 'arafat revolving door trick.'
For this bullshit time and time again they will
be given a STATE plus buckets of (protection money)
I MEAN dollars every time they squeal.

At this point in this cycle of gross injustice, nothing they
do wrong will prevent them from getting their STATE.

Absolutely correct. And by no means did I intend to indicate otherwise, nor do I mean to minimize the moral culpability of any person or group who does so, regardless of influence.

What I (and apparently some others) cannot figure out is why and how so many well-educated people (not pesants with torches in a Frankenstein movie) with access to facts seem to be completely impervious to them.

And you're right--mostly--that this has nothing to do with Arab anti-Semitism. But even (and especially, if OBL is an example) those with access to Western university educations do not change.

SoCalJustice #44,

I thought that the Israeli lobby thing was interesting. That would have been a perfect moment for a real journalist (i.e. not Wolf Blitzer) to say something to him, say about how he's funded by the Saudi lobby. Or just to say something about how if the Israeli lobby is so powerful, how come the Liberty is still being discussed, while the Iraqi attack (when we were still friends) on whatever-it-was in the 80s is no longer being discussed. But that would presume a little bit of impartiality, which would have been too much to ask.

I think "ralph" is also used as a verb in Australia - an Australian kid in my high school used to use it. Maybe it's a Commonwealth thing?

RC neo-Jew: I just realized what's causing your trouble with the safemail program, and it isn't your fault. It's because I had to block a group of IP addresses and yours is among them; this causes the safemail program to refuse you.

I'll have a fix soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

77 Teacake  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 11:53:22am

Hi Someguy.

That's exactly what I was talking about.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming: Psychological Skills for Understanding and Influencing People

It's not like magic at all. It's a very underhanded form of hypnosis. NLP was one of many such groups that followed the scientologists, who basically used those techniques on themselves... EST (?) was another popular mind control technique. Once again, only self-imposed. Seminars for NLP were really big in Los Angeles in the mid 80s.

That masked bachlor admitted on the show that he was using the NLP technique on the unsuspecting lady and everything he said to minipulate her, totally worked. Its so much more sneaky then hypnosis, because the person being worked on, has no idea they are being programmed by the other person.

It struck me, as you said too, there is no logical reason why intellegent people with a sense of right and wrong would believe all this obvious propaganda about the worst savages in modern times... being the poor victims. I am certain there are many well-placed people using those very techniques in universities and lectures.

(PS... just for the record. I'm a she.)

I wonder if there's a translation into computerperson language for 'When I try to email moomydoc on Little Green Footballs and type the code back to front all I get is a question mark.'

Yes. It's:

"My email program does not seem to be installed correctly. It is not called to handle mailto: URIs"

...that's assuming you use an email program. If you only use webmail and don't have an email program, then after typing the code look at the address in the address bar of the browser. You'll see mailto:someone@somewhere.foo. someone@somewhere.foo is the email address you will have to send mail to, using your webmail application.

These cultists are all the same. I'm surprised he didn't do the cop in with Cherry CoolAid.

When I attended university, the hallways were lined with various zealot cults. Maoists, Trotskyites, leninists, and on and on. They hated everyone and threatened that "after the revolution, there will be a real bullet for you all!" .

I saw the hate in their eyes and heard the self-righteous loathing vitriol spew out of their craws.

They tormented everyone and caused endless hurt which, in the end, amounted to nothing...nothing. The current crop of know-nothing twirps are their clones. They look and sound the same as if it were DNA determined. A delusion of infinite self-importance, a smug unjustified self-confidence, a rabid dedication to the cause but a complete indifference toward those for whom the cause is contrived.

You shouldn't look at anything but the named entities. The glyph for non-named entities depends on the character set. If you look at the source for this page, you'll see the character set used here is ISO 8859-1 (ISO Latin 1). Scandinavian websites usually encode with ISO 8859-2 (ISO Latin 2). And the standard character set for HTML 4 is ISO 10646-1.

Thanks for the memories... :)

Su madre est un puta

Let's see...

Su This is the formal version of "your". For such a serious insult, the familiar form "tu", would ALWAYS be used.

madre No problem with this one.

est This is not even Spanish, could be Latin or French. Should be "es".

un Gender (masculine) does not match the feminine gender of "puta", which is feminine.

puta Other than the gender mismatch above, no other problems.

zulubaby:

IRC is (nearly) unmoderated and scattered about server networks world wide. As such it is "diverse" to say the least.

It isnt a "chat program" like AOL instant messenger, it's a series of networks where chat, file transfer and whatever else you could imagine takes place. To use the networks you need an IRc "client" for your pc, mIRC is the most popular for windows however I use the X-Chat client on both windows and linux and find it easier to use.

I've heard IRC referred to as "IRC, where the women are men and the kids are cops", it can get wild at times.

I'd get a personal firewall for my pc if you dont have one already, you need one anyway, i recommend the Sygate personal firewall (for a good free one).

If you want to give it a try or have other questions e-mail me (its the only way youll get my user name too as I wont post it here). I can be found mostly on the Undernet IRC servers.

Cool.

Being unable to post (which I don't really do that often) here for the last couple of days, but being able to read without being distracted by feeling a need to respond has been nice. I'll laze about on a thread and just take it in.

Also had the problem of getting a ? when I hit the email feature. I wonder if this means someone near me was banned or someone on the same ISP I use was banned or what.

Back on topic. When this creep admitted on idiotmedia that he had killed that Police Officer, the drone collective who run idiotmedia did nothing to report him. And when questioned why they had'nt reported him, said that the government Echelon (sp?) program watched everything that went on at idiotmedia, therefore the government knew about his post immediately anyway, so why bother. Some cheered his admission.

AP-Correction: Germany-US Bases

ASSOCIATED PRESS

BERLIN (AP) - In a July 12 story about plans to reorganize U.S. forces in Europe, The Associated Press, quoting a German newspaper interview, reported erroneously that every base in Germany except Ramstein Air Base was threatened with possible closure.

The article was based on an interview with U.S. Gen. James Jones, NATO's supreme allied commander, published in question-and-answer form in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.

However, U.S. European Command officials said Jones stated that U.S. forces also wanted to maintain other bases in Germany. The newspaper confirmed it omitted that remark.

That answers that question.

Colt

Here it is anyway. A very well documented version of what I mentioned. Except I was wrong sayin 'Echelon(SP?)', they say its "Carnivore" on their "pipe"?

#159 Frank IBC (why the name change?)

The "IMC" originally stood for "In Montgomery County, Maryland". However, I became increasingly uncomfortable with its unfortunate association with Idiot Media Corporation.

I mulled over several possibilities, including "Frank ICBM" - I rejected this because people might wrongly infer that I have size or performance issues. Also, reading it out loud, and hearing oneself say "I See BM" is not the effect that I wanted it to have, either. Although that's the way I feel when I'm over at IdiotMedia.

Then finally, Saturday morning, I was drinking a bottle of my very favorite soft drink in the whole world, IBC Root Beer...

whoever said he would pose as the letter "T" had me in stitches for days.

Hmm. I don't get it...

Rotate the "T" 90 degrees. The bottom half of what is now the vertical stroke, is the person's legs. The top half of the vertical stroke is the person's torso and head. The horizontal stroke is...I'll leave that to your imagination.

And I won't ask about "the side effects of sex". (Not after my Friday night ;-)

She's an Obstetrician. :)

#157 Frank IBC,

I had learned Tu puta madre from our foreign exchange student from Madrid.

If you really want to know, highlight over the blank spot. I wrote it in invisible ink because there are ladies and gentlemen and innocent children present. Plus, I blush easily.

Hi, justdanny! Wondered where you'd gotten to. Sorry your IP was in the range of He Who Shall Not be Named™. Thank you for your sympathy outrage. I'm glad you're back.

He, everyone, I just bought my first gas grill. Steaks at my place tomorrow after I finish putting the thing together!

185 mommydoc  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 5:30:48pm

Frank IBC (#182/3) You are hilarious!

Yuvalien (#184) That's amazing! I must know how to do that. Please?

You mean there's a way to make an ümlaut without breaking eggs?

Ñõ†hïñø to it. Just go to the character map in your system tools, select, copy and paste.

Mommydoc #185,

Well, it's been about fifteen years, but I remember begging my parents to please please please let us host a kid from another country. I cannot remember the name of the organization they called, but... oh, that's not what you're talking about.

I used what are called Cascading Style Sheets (since the link goes to a search page within LGF, will this become a recursive search?), it is a fantastic weapon of web designers. Whereas we used to use font tags all over the place to define which font face (like Arial or Garamond), which font color, and font size we wanted to display, we now use CSS. This makes our pages faster and more universal. In today's parlance, it helps us separate content from design.

Anyway, I did it the same way PDM #103 did it. I took one of Charles's tags (like the Italic <i> ) and added CSS info to it like so: <i style="color:f0f0f0"> blah blah blah </i>. The color "f0f0f0" is the hexadecimal equivalent to the background color of each posting.

Whisper whisper:This is a technique that you used to see quite a bit in the early days of the WWW. A site would add invisible words like "coca-cola" or "pamela anderson" so that search engines would point to their page when someone was looking for info on Coca-Cola™, even though the page might not have anything to do with Coke™. Just because you can't see the word does not mean that it is not there.

Mommydoc #184,

Enjoy your gas grill. My wife and I enjoy cooking on ours. We have given up on cooking red meat (except in the form of hamburger and kosher hotdogs), however, because my folks' charcoal grill fires up a much better steak.

Great. It's time for bed and I'm already salivating over the ghosts of steaks past (or is that 'passed'? ) and of steaks future.

189 mommydoc  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 6:50:35pm

I know, I've always preferred the taste of charcoal-broiling, but the last place I lived prohibited charcoal grills, so I've decided to go modern. They had one model that can do both, but it didn't have an electronic ignition, which is really the only reason to go with gas, IMO.

Thanks for the tip, Yuvalien. I'm going to try it now. Okay, how incredibly cool is that?

190 Yuvalien  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 7:14:04pm

Mommydoc,

Hear that? That's my belly. He rumbles grumbly exhaltations to your grill. Ave! Ave barbacoa propanus! We who are about to dine, salute you!

191 mommydoc  Sun, Jul 13, 2003 7:40:17pm

Yuvalien: Six-thirty tomorrow night. And I bought mesquite smoking chips, since it has little pans to hold them if you turn over the burner covers. Should give it a charcoal-y flavor, I'm hoping.

Maybe I drank too much at the wedding, but that has to be one of the funniest comments on a very funny (and informative) thread.

Wow, that is too cool!

OMG, you've created a monster!! Stop me before I code again!!!

Mommydoc,

My mother-in-law, who fears anything with flavor, calls everything that comes off the grill "carcinogen-tainted flesh." She's a peach, ain't she?

"Ma, you want some grilled corn?"

"That cr@p will give you cancer, you know! Ack! Is that pepper on the table?!"

195 mommydoc  Mon, Jul 14, 2003 11:05:19am

Yuvalien: LOL! Well, it took me until 2AM to do it, but the monster grill&tm; is up and running. Next to these virtually wordless instructions (and I use that term very loosely) from an American company, Char-Broil, I'll take poorly translated Japanese any time!

I can't wait for the aroma of burning flesh grilled meat.

196 Yuvalien  Mon, Jul 14, 2003 12:12:40pm

Mommydoc,

You haven't properly enjoyed reading setup instructions until you have read them in the original Klingon.

When I put our grill together, the instructions looked like photocopies of photocopies of photocopies. Sentence structure and punctuation were terrible. There was a sentence that had two different meanings depending on whether that thing that looked like a period was a period or a splotch on the page. It was something like:

d'ont. stop.

On the plus side, I've not yet erupted into a giant flame ball due to misunderstanding that splotch or period or whatever.

That reminds me, I wonder if people in Taipei have as difficult time reading the instructions for the same grill that was made in Taiwan. Does the editor at the instruction-writing cubicle-farm look at the set of instructions in Chinese and say, "No no no. This is too easy to understand. Spell things wrong. Add instructions for obscure parts that we no longer sell. And make sure that the pictograph for 'Safe for children under 8' looks like a Yuvalien wearing a puffy coat of fire."

197 evergreen student  Sun, Jul 20, 2003 4:30:20pm

I hope that you all enjoy the harsh commentary about Evergreen. I see that you all can't get past your petty politics to see the value of the kind of education that Evergreen provides. If you could manage to get out of your judging bubble of complaining moaners in Western Washington and see what the rest of the whole fucking world thinks about TESC and Rachel Corrie you may be forced into the position of being on the side of the real terrorists to most of the world (the U.S.). Just want some respect for a type of education that educators all over the country see as more beneficial than other kinds of schooling.
