Palestinian Murder Parties

Wed, Aug 20, 2003 at 7:29:08 am PDT

A followup on yesterday’s short news flash from Ha'aretz; in Lebanon Palestinians held big celebrations in the streets following yesterday’s mass murder of women and children by a Palestinian suicide bomber—chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel:” Lebanon Palestinians give sweets after Israel attack.

TRIPOLI, Lebanon, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Several hundred young men poured into the streets of a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon on Tuesday and handed out sweets to celebrate a suicide bomb attack on a Jerusalem bus that killed at least 20 people, witnesses said.

They said the men, who urged more attacks, fired into the air in an expression of joy and handed out sweets to passing cars as women watched from the sidelines in the Beddawi camp on the outskirts of the northern city of Tripoli.

"Death to America. Death to Israel," the protesters chanted. "Yes to the resistance and yes to more operations."

The very fabric of thier society is corrupted with this terrorist trash. They have indoctrinated thier children to beleive it.

"Death to America. Death to Israel," the protesters chanted. "Yes to the resistance and yes to more operations."

And still there are Americans who support these people.

Yes, they are insane, but show some compassion.

They "were driven to it."

5 AG in Houston  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 5:37:09am

They are Palestinians.

They can dance and rejoice at the death of others.

It's accepted in the 'world community' that this is a legitimate expression of resistance to the occupation in palestine.

Tel Aviv is occupied land.

Haifa is occupied land.

My Kibbutz in the Jezre'el valley is occupied land.

SoCal Muslim activist sues National Review magazine
Associated Press

Shawn Steel at National Review can use some support
--------------------
SANTA ANA, Calif. - A Southern California Muslim activist sued National Review magazine for allegedly defaming him in an article published on its Web site.

Hussam Ayloush, who heads the Southern California office of the Council for American-Islamic Relations, claims the magazine falsely suggested he supported anti-Semitic views.

The suit stems from a commentary article by Shawn Steel which states that Ayloush co-hosted an event at which an Egyptian Muslim leader called Jewish people "descendants of the apes."

The lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court denies Ayloush hosted or attended the May 1998 event and seeks damages for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

For the rest of the story....

A portion of those in Lebanon are the remnants of Arafat's crowd and fled there when Arafat tried to overthrow King Hussein of Jordan.
The "stupid" Israeli govt., gave them free passage to Lebanon otherwise they would have been cannon fodder for Jordan's forces.

most of them fled to lebanon after the creation of israel in 1948?

um, no.

many are second- or third-generation of people who did so, and/or assorted others who have come along for some free U.N. aid.

16 yank  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 5:44:48am

Perhaps the 'fence' should be extended to include the Temple Mount as well. It may be the only way Jews can safely worship at the Wailing Wall since the Palestinians clearly cannot control themselves.

If I were Sharon I'd also drop plans for aoperation Hebron. A fence around the city along with plans to relocate the dislocated Israeli settlers there and expell Arabs making Hebron an all Israeli colony. Even if the plan is garbage I'd do it just to see the s#it hit the fan. The plans can be denounced as forgeries if they cause too much of a stir.

Another must read from Lileks.

Whenever I hear “never again!” I remember when that seemed a possibility.

But nowadays the phrase never again is met with sneers: of course again. And again and again, as often as possible. Fascists in thrall to a death-god, again. Creed-addled men who shrug at the death of babies, again. Poison-fed people who pass out candy to celebrate the murder of Jews, again.

Never again has become please, not tomorrow.

19 Teacake  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 5:48:45am

That's interesting Daniel, those poor deprived people have money to spend on fireworks?

20 Gryphon  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 5:50:17am

Did anyone see report of a fireworks celebration display in Hebron last night? Could have sworn I read about it, and this morning, nothing.

Then again, it was probably just the 12.5 percent of Palis who don't support the destruction of Israel celebrating their firm support of the road map.

You've got to be in need of serious medical treatment if you really believe that these people are deserving of understanding and support.

Americans have been sensitized to "minority groups." Even though there are a billion and a half muslims in the world, a few million come to roost here and the American people blindly view them as a minority. "White" people are especially fearful of being viewed as racist.

For Americans to accept that palis are incapable of acting like decent human beings is insideout racism.

29 No More Tears  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 6:13:50am

The Jerusalem Post had this story

"In an Israeli prison, Palestinian security prisoners applauded joyously and passed out candy when they learned of the bombing, the Israel Prisons Authority said. The leaders among the inmates were sent into isolation and the rest had their TV sets removed as punishment, the authority said."

Just like there is no reason for keeping the last vials of small pox, there is no reason to keep these people alive.

30 Darwin Akbar  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 6:20:25am

Theirs is a sick and degenerate culture, that revels in the blood of tiny children. Words cannot express my disgust and contempt for them and those that coddle and excuse them.

I wept uncontrollably at the photos posted below. Yet, I read that there will be no military response, just more attempts to "bolster" Abbas, despite the calls by some ministers for leveling Arafat's compound. I wish I could pull the trigger myself. I would do so without hesistation. And I despise them for making me hate the way I do.

This is the equivalent of the Passover Massacre - a deliberate attack on the most innoncent of all. Why is the government of Israel allowing their citizens to be massacred with impunity? Why do Arafat and Rantisi live?

Death toll from Tuesday night bus bombing in Jerusalem rose overnight to 20. First victims identified: Lilach Kardi, 22, Menahem Leibel, 24, Shmuel Zargari, 11 months old, Eliezer Weisfisch, 42, Yaacov Binder, 50 - all from Jerusalem, father and son, Shalom Mordecai Rainitz, 49, and Dov Yisaschar Rainitz, 9, from Kiryat Tsanz, Netanya. Fifty-one of 150 injured remain Wednesday in hospital - ten in serious condition, two critical. Bomber was Hebron imam member of Hamas. IDF force rounds up 17 suspected accomplices in town.

34 Zionista  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 6:41:56am

Folks, there are Democratic lawmaker who get it....

Aug 20 (AP) - Visiting in Jerusalem, Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., said Islamic Jihad operates from Syria, and ``it is time for the United States to hold Syria accountable for their terrorism.''

Engel, in a telephone interview, said the bus bombing ``really drives the point home that if the Palestinians are not going to clamp down on terrorism and destroy the structure, there can be no peace talks and no peace.''

Engel and two other New York Democrats, Gregory W. Meeks and Anthony D. Weiner, canceled a meeting with Abbas that was scheduled for Thursday.

``It is clear he is unwilling or unable to halt terrorist attacks on Israel,'' said Anson Kaye, a spokesman for Weiner.

What is wonderful about this celebration is that it will encourage closer ties between Israel and America. I'm not sure this is what they want.

It is what I want.

I have got them playing into my hands. But, I'm a Jew and I know how to make the world do my bidding. Even my enemies. The Zionist Conspiracy LIVES. And they are my dupes.

Heh.

#35: from your link:

"In March, a locally respected Palestinian sniper (!!!) Mahmood Titti, was assassinated by the Israeli military while sitting in the cemetery in Balata, then had his home demolished. Mahmood had been best friend and mentor to his cousin Jihad Titti. Five days later, Jihad Titti blew himself up in Jerusalem. Like many of the camp youth, Ibrahim had idolised Mahmood, and Jihad had been one of his closest friends. Seeing them die made him angry."

So Ibrahim was so upset he detonated himself at a falafel stand. OK. But for some weird reason, I'm all outta of compassion, here....

42 Spunky  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 7:45:09am

Really, how hard could it be to acquire a Russian (nee Soviet) nuclear device and detonate it in Mekkah? I wouldn't do it overtly, but I'd turn the terrorist tactics around on them, and get some front group like the Aryan Nations to do it. Hell, make it look like bin laden did it. But I think taking the war home to the Islamists is imperative. The terrorists, and more importantly, those who support the terrorists.

And the thing is, six months ago, I never would have entertained a thought like this. I would have considered it aluminum-foil-deflector-beanie talk. Now, I don't see any alternative.

#15, just got around to reading this article and my BS/fact checking light went off redline with this one:

Lebanon is home to roughly 390,000 Palestinian refugees registered in a dozen camps. Most of them fled to Lebanon in 1948 following the creation of the state of Israel.

So, let's assume that there's 390,000 refugees. Most would indicate at least 195,000 refugees who are at least 55 years old. We'd be encountering septuagenerian terrorist bombers if most of them had actually fled in 1948.

According to Reuters, 195,000 refugees are from the 1948 exodus. Then can anyone actually explain these demographics?

Lebanese Population: 3,578,036 (July 2000 est.)

Age structure:
0-14 years: 28% (male 508,936; female 489,122)
15-64 years: 65% (male 1,115,457; female 1,226,448)
65 years and over: 7% (male 108,706; female 129,367) (2000 est.)

It's quite possible that the refugees aren't included in those statistics. However, with such a small population size, 190,000+ refugees over the age of 55 would be quite noticable and skew the services within those communities.

From the CIA factbook, Population:
3,727,703 (July 2003 est.)
Age structure:
0-14 years: 27.1% (male 514,447; female 494,166)
15-64 years: 66.1% (male 1,177,773; female 1,286,433)
65 years and over: 6.8% (male 115,693; female 139,191) (2003 est.)
Median age:
total: 26.4 years
male: 25.4 years
female: 27.5 years (2002)

UNRWA doesn't provide demographics of the populations, so it's unclear just how many septuagenerians are walking talking suicide bombers-in-waiting.

46 Yank  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 10:43:13am

Spunky, nuking mecca is a stupid idea. You have nowhere to go once that is completed. Better to start with the Al Aqsa Mosque. Expell the Pals and retake the territory. Do not destroy the mosque but hold it as hostage for the Palestinians good behavior, and forbid access to the site just as the Jordanians forbid Jews to visit the Wailing Wall when they controlled the area.

If the suicide bombings do not stop the Mosque is leveled and the Third Temple (I think that's what the Othodox Jews want to build) can begin construction.

Then you threaten to expell Arabs from different sections of the west bank or Gaza. If the killing does not stop Arabs will be expelled from Jerusalem and the fence moved to encompass the new adjuct to Israel. After that Hebron. If they do not stop eventually the Arabs will be displaced.

47 Dr.Fireater  Wed, Aug 20, 2003 10:54:30am

I can understand when in India, we cannot bring in a common civil code (we have different laws for Muslims, Christians and Hindus) because the 13% muslims translate into the largest minority vote bank that the Congress party woos without end... Our hands are tied in a way..

But I am appalled at Israel's failure to live up to its reputation as a state that really takes care of every single Jewish life. Where is the Israel of yesterday gone?

If Israel does not act this time, you can as well dismantle your country, give up the land to the terrorists and go into diaspora once again. For it was on the promise of peace and 'never again' was Israel founded upon. These very principles are being violated. Israel is not just a nation, but a symbol that Jews will never live on the 'goodwill' of other nations, that they will never be at the mercy of multitudes of violent animals humanity has begotton and that Jews shall take upon themselves, the destiny and security of their religious race. The Ideal of Zionism has to stand. The defences have to hold!

Heartfelt prayers and profound condolences from millions of Hindus who understand the grief of loosing our little ones to terrorist bombs and weapons are with the Nation of Israel.

UNITED NATIONS, Aug 21 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell on Thursday called on Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to use security forces he controls to help stop attacks on Israel and said if Israel and the Palestinians abandon a U.S.-backed peace plan they will fall off "a cliff."

"(I) call on Chairman Arafat to work with (Palestinian) Prime Minister (Mahmoud) Abbas and to make available to ... Abbas those security elements that are under his control so that they can allow progress to be made on the 'road map' -- end terror, end this violence," Powell told reporters. "The end of the road map is a cliff that both sides will fall off of."
