Moronic Convergence in Cancun

Sat, Sep 13, 2003 at 7:01:03 pm PDT

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better illustration of international media enabling and encouraging violent loony left creeps than this photograph from the WTO meeting in Cancun, Mexico, showing a Che Guevara T-shirt wearing idiot doing his best impression of a rock-tossing Palestinian Arab, as at least a dozen highly paid picture-takers go for the money shot. Imagine the fantasy scenario playing in his head:

“Yeah! I’m just like the noble freedom fighters of Palestine, striking back at the Zionazis’ apartheid wall! Dig me! Look at all these photojournalists! I must be important!
As photojournalists gather around, an anti-WTO protester throws rocks over a fence towards police guarding the World Trade Organization meeting in Cancun Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003.(AP Photo/Victor Ruiz)

The only post on September 11, 2003 at loony left No War Blog. 'Nuff said.

1 fuckwit and at least 12 reporters?

What's wrong with this picture?

BTW, throwing rocks at Mexican Police is a really BAD IDEA. This twit has never had the pleasure of having 2 or 5 liters of warm pepsi squirted up his nose.

3 evariste  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:12:16pm

Woohoo!

4 evariste  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:14:36pm

Is that a Che shirt?
What a tool.

5 addison  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:16:42pm

They may as well have signs reading, "Go! Go! Down with Globalization!"

Note the operative word in the caption: As photojournalists... As in, now that reporters are gathering, this f*ckwit has a crowd for showing off.

6 evariste  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:18:22pm

I wish the rock woulda slipped and beaned one of these enabler "reporters".

7 paul  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:20:46pm

If the clown stepped up, oh, 30 yards or so closer to the fence maybe he'd be a threat. Guess he reserved that space for the cameras.

8 Paul  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:20:53pm

One protestor and (I count) eleven phtographers manufacturing some news. It might not be Che on the red T-shirt, maybe its Mumia or Commandante Zero or some other scumbag.

9 Josh  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:21:08pm

This bozo looks like he thinks he's playing cricket! This useful idiot doesnt realize that his che guevara anti globalization t-shirt was actually made in a 3rd world factory, and is easily marketed to dopey lefties!

10 Paul  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:23:03pm

By happy chance paul with a small "p" and Paul with a capital "P" posted as # 7 & 8.

11 Deathberg  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:28:45pm

The more they converge, the easier they are to spot.

12 paul  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:29:03pm

Isn't that special. There's a third, you might know, who leaves his email.

We couldn't have thought up cool monikers, or anything. Nope.

13 Paul  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:29:25pm

I was just thinking how nice it would have been if the "protestor" had hurled a bad pitch and beaned one of the photographers.

14 evariste  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:31:19pm

Whichever one of you p/Pauls is stealing my posts, watch it! Or I sic the monkeys on you :-)

15 RIP Ford  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:32:30pm

it is a good thing that i have a nic, other wise, we would have three pauls on this thread. a sure sign of the end times if there ever was one.

16 Paul  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:34:04pm

#12 paul

Yeah, you're right, Paul/paul is sort of lame. We need something cool like "armed prophet" or "Morgoth".

17 Brian Colby  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:35:06pm

It would have been funny (and ironic) if the rock had been thrown back at him..."Down with capit-OWWW! F***! Now my Mumia shirt is full of blood, and I have a head wound and no health insurance!"

Although even funnier would be for the Mexican police to send flying killer rabbits (Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference) into the crowd of protesters...can you only imagine what would happen then?

18 Woda  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:37:13pm

Actually, this is a popular game in Cancun. This was the finals in the international throw-a-rice-cake competition.
Luiz, pictured, won first place with this throw, that's why so many photojournalists were there. I entered last year but used frisbee style and was disqualified. Apparently it's against the rules.

19 Philly G  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:39:15pm

Yesterday I made fun of a stupid kid wearing a Che Gueverra shirt. Needless to say, he didn't get the joke so I walked away and he just sort of stood there baffled.

Planning for The Revolution takes up so much of their time I suppose.

It would have been funny (and ironic) if the rock had been thrown back at him

That's one thing these fucktards don't expect. To get hit back.

They're spoiled little cowards, doing their childish "protests" (graffiti writing, rachel corrieing, human shielding, rock throwing, etc.,) surrounded by media and with knowledge that the military they're provoking won't respond. How brave.

I'd love to see the soldiers drill these little turd droppers.

21 Bigsmoke  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:40:44pm

Terrible mechanics. Will never pitch in the big leagues.

22 Connecticut Yankee  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:41:42pm

Wonder if this guy took a graduate seminar in advanced rock throwing from Eddie Said. (Only full professors get to wear cardigans while demonstrating the proper technique.)

23 Jolly Roger  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:44:33pm

So...why is this limp-schlong all alone? I don't see ANYONE except for him and the photogs...hmm, maybe the others realized Cancun is a pretty cool place, and hit the bars and beaches?

24 Shiplord Kirel  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:45:11pm

It's amazing that such a damning indictment of media poltroonery ever saw the light of day.
I'm thinking that there must be an anti-idiotarian sixth-columnist at Yahoo somewhere. Remember a few months ago when a photo of a jubilant Michael Moore appeared alongside a story of American soldiers being killed in Iraq?

25 TS  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:45:28pm

I bet the rock thrower is a journalist too, and they bought the tshirt just for this set-up.

28 evariste  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:48:14pm

Yehudit-NOoooOooOOooo! I use the word bomb-ass all the time. Let's keep callin' 'em splodeydopes and islamakazis.

29 Craig  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:48:46pm

If the stupid vandals only realized that all those cameramen are in the employ of globalized media conglomerates.

Maybe they'd break a few lenses too.

30 evariste  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:48:52pm

Yeah, newscaper. Why not call it, "attempting murder". Since that's what it is.

31 CC Señor  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:49:42pm

#26 Yehudit

So, is bombast the past tense?

32 addison  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 5:50:48pm

Okay, real question: Is the "Roadmap to Peace" still in motion, as it were? Has anyone in a position of power, after all the suicide bombings and resignation of the "PM", stated that the Roadmap is basically dead?

Death would await them with nasty sharp pointy teeth!

I agree with Nekama, if the rock should come flying back, not only would it be hilarious, it would be genuinely newsworthy.

42 Jolly Roger  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:02:50pm

Robert C.,

Trust me, Cancun is good ANY time of year ;).

So let me amend that anyway, he went down there to hook up with some easy hippie chicks, and even THEY won't go for him.

Speaking of Communist terrorist savages, Latuff chimes in with a new 'toon over at Nazimedia that may well constitute the starkest example of psychological "projection" I've ever seen.

44 John Smallberries  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:07:34pm

Just wondering if anyone can answer this:

How often does the WTO meet and how do they select the city where they meet? After Seattle was trashed it doesn't seem like something any chamber of commerce would want to step up and host. The "tourists" drawn to your city don't exactly spend much and you have to drain some of your riot police budget.

Does the WTO even try to be secretive about their meetings? I'm not saying that those trying to promote free trade should hide, but anything you can do to keep these unwashed vermin from congregating is a good thing.

Light bulb: why not have the next WTO meeting in Tianammen Square, where the local police don't exactly care about what happens to people in their custody?

45 Jolly Roger  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:12:24pm

At least one of the criteria for cities seems to be a place where the delegates and eat, drink, and be very, very merry.

46 Lumiere  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:14:09pm

After the shoot, many of the "photo-journalists" present decided to pull down their pants and engaged in a group orgy. I know this to be a fact since they encouraged this leftist anti-globalist neo-Marxist to screw them and whatever professionalism they still retained.

47 Montaigne's Cat  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:20:48pm

The same thing, from the Palestinian movie set

Scroll to the bottom.

The whole thing is a staged scene. This is just one of many photos I've demonstrating it.

48 Donna V.  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:24:15pm

Imagine these photographers coaching their moonbat subjects the same way models are coached during fashion shoots:

"C'mon, baby, give me a little more seethe! Bare those teeth just a little more. Clench that left fist, put it in the air. Oh, wow, that's beautiful, man! You are Che, honey, you are the man!"

49 Frank IBC  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:24:32pm

if the rock should come flying back...

Reminds me of the scene in Monty Python where the Vicar (John Cleese) is presiding over a burial - he throws a clod of earth into the grave...and it gets thrown back in his face.

The guy seems to be throwing the rock up at about a 55 degree angle. Dramatic, maybe, but it will not result in the rock going particularly far. Should be 45 degrees max.

In a way, this reminds me of the US invasion of Somalia back in 1992.

Reganite - how many pounds of dynamite would it take to knock out these 11 idiots?

50 d  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:49:31pm
I'd love to see the soldiers drill these little turd droppers.

Some riot police are probably more than happy to oblige:

52 AbdominalSnowman  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 6:56:58pm

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's ironic that an anti-globalization protester is wearing a Che t-shirt? I mean, wouldn't the spread, by violent revolution, of international communism represent the worst sort of globalization?

53 Mr. E. Train  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 7:03:31pm

Neo-Nazis 'planned assault on Munich synagogue'

A RING of neo-Nazi extremists arrested in Germany this week is suspected of plotting an attack on Munich’s new synagogue on the anniversary of Hitler’s "Kristallnacht", police sources say.

The right-wing extremists, arrested in raids that also turned up machine-guns, grenades and nearly 30lb of explosives, were planning an assault on the 65th anniversary of the night when Jewish homes and business were attacked in the infamous Nazi pogrom, police say.
60 K.  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 7:32:09pm

This picture is a classic. Honestreporting.com had a similar picture with a Palestinian throwing a rock and a legion of highly paid picture-takers snapping his picture, all bunched together to his side so as not to get into each others shot. Can't find the picture now.

Good question.

It's the same logic that causes the neo-left to saddle up to islamofascism. They are simply into destruction, nihilism. Anyone who hates the US is good. All projections of US power are bad.

German Nazis haven't had that kind of firepower since the end of World War 2, though Communist-inspired gangs like Baader-Meinhof have.
It's possible that the skinheads' new alliance with the far left, based on hatred of Israel and the United States, is paying off.
American Nazis often sound exactly like their LLL counterparts these days, and figures like David Duke have a new legitimacy thanks to the explosive growth of anti-semitism on the poltical left.
The two branches of socialism, national and international, are beginning to reconcile after the historic split that followed Hitler's 1941 attack on his ally, Stalin.

66 Bildo  Sat, Sep 13, 2003 8:52:21pm

I LOVE these guys. On Friday there was a WTO protester that was so impassioned that he stabbed himself to death. I mean, what is so damned horrible about globalization that you would stab yourself in the chest in protest?

I just wish all of the protesters would all follow his example.

isn't Nazi short for national socialist party? And wouldn't that make it leftist? not extreme right. Both types stress the subjegation of the Individual to the will of the collective. I find the only real operative difference between Nazi's and Commie's
Is a matter of how proud they are after they kill Jews, Gypsys, Handicapped kids, etc...

Where as the Communists are suitably ashamed and try to conceal the acts of murder.
The Nazi's keep meticulous records of their murder sprees in order to brag what good socialists they are.

where am I wrong?

Last year Canada was host to a WTO meeting and the meeting place chosen was a resort in the Rockies which was mucho inaccessible and easy to police from the point of view of keeping protesters away. No surprise, the protesters whined and seethed about how unfair it was that it was almost impossible to get close to the site. Even our homegrown protest evrything constructive member of parliament Svend Robinson who BTW has nominated Rachel Corrie for the Nobel Peace Prize was a noshow.

75 Carol Herman  Sun, Sep 14, 2003 6:52:27pm

Here's an observation. I picked up a book Mort Sahl wrote, called Heartland. Published in the 1970's. Anyone here whose ever seen Mort do comedy would know he takes it right out of the day's newspapers. Observes. And, makes you laugh.

He said "We have no LEFT in America." The LEFT got co-opted. Well, for one thing, the left, as you'd identify it was VERY RICH.

Remember the Hollywood types that caved when McCarthy asked them if they were 'real' Americans?

Are actors real people?

Anyway, on the right, you've got volunteers. These people really believe the stuff they scream.

But on the LEFT you've got the FBI. Who infiltrated these communist cells (of old people), with thousands of their own.

You don't believe me?

You don't realize when Monica told her story she wasn't talking to some friend at a sleepover; but into a microphone PAID FOR WITH TAX DOLLARS, by a government agent. Of course, you know Linda Tripp worked for the government. In some 'PR' capacity.

And, if you know anything about budgets, that's how agents from our government enter these leftoid centers, wearing costumes (which they're paid to wear). And, they spend money most poor people don't have.

They bought our press. Hence, the term 'presstitutes' remains very fitting.

And, they had a plan. Make most Americans ashamed to admit they're liberal, and you co-opt the government. And, you rule from one party. (Where your screaming acolytes need to see the blood of patriots. Oh, and women who dare to want abortion. Or birth control.)

Who would have thought that such a simple plan would be operational?

Well, sometimes, a little error and you have a gigantic catastrophe. When Rehnquist got the call to push this Bush into office, the hope was he'd seed the judiciary with right wing 'social conservatives' Not to use the word, lunatics, because it isn't nice. I prefer calling them 'visionaries.'

Oh, I'm reminded of another Mort Sahl line. When Jimmah Carter said he prayed to Jesus 9 times a day, Sahl said he hoped God had a sense of humor. Because 9 telemarketer calls a day could put you over the edge.

I don't think God's been answering Bush, his prayer circle, or Jimmah's either. Wouldn't it be better to have decent, secular business philosophies than just throwing the 'good book' around?

Bush may be the disaster the left needs to regain consciousness.

Oh, and when you see photos from STAGED LEFTOID EVENTS, remember this, it doesn't represent the left that once made this country great. It just represents what the CIA and the FBI are buying right now to control the masses.

For some reason some political jerks are terrified of the ring. They want foregone conclusions BEFORE election day.

And, then you have the Dulles Brothers' State Department that's been a loose canon organization since the 1950's.

Justice, ahead? Well, the more Bush looks like the idiot he is, are the days we're getting to come closer to what the People want. And, how we want to be represented.
