4 PDM  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 1:28:47pm

I never noticed that dog stashing the ace before (what a dog).

5 BH  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 1:31:45pm

Got any velvets of the Virgin Mary and baby Elvis?

6 GFinOaktown  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 1:32:50pm

Samir Qantar..."militant compatriot?" How about murderer of two young girls and their father? Sumbitch should rot in hell before they let him out.

To quote The Mutt Brothers:

Arafart still holding all the cards.

9 Ariel  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 1:36:55pm

I can only hope that the Israelis decided not to release this chap in the hopes that it would cause Hezb'allah to torpedo the deal.

10 torchy  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 1:38:31pm

Winston Chirchill cheated at cards?

"Come,we haggle...Rashid,back off,you scare the customer!!! You will please excuse my brother Rashid. He has not been the same since that garage factory explosion.Perhaps you prefer an Elvis Presley print,he was the King, you know"

Poor Samir Quantar...imprisoned by the evil Jews since the '70's.

What are these monkeys complaining about? Al least Samir can thank Allah that he's in an Israeli jail and not an Arabic jail (if he ever even made it to the gates). In that event, he would have been given only one chance...the chance to place his ape head between his legs and kiss his sorry ass goodbye.

What are these monkeys complaining about?

13 fat.elvis  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 1:44:51pm

That reminded me of the Clash song "Card Cheat" but then the mind wanders to "Rock the Casbah".

OT:

Like many Israelis I've been following the Remedia story for the past couple days. Apparently some idiots forgot to put vitamin B1 in a baby formula used by something like 150,000 Israeli babies for like half a year - and now babies are dying. It seemed like a conventional (albeit huge huge huge) case of negligence.

But now I have to ask what in the hell is going on?

If this was done purposefully - holy shit...

19 hoobajoob  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 2:04:34pm

What's that small picture in the middle back?

Sort of looks like a guy in an orange bikini top.

20 Alan  Mon, Nov 10, 2003 2:06:10pm

It's obviously a portrait of the person holding it, don't you see the resemblance?

#17 teal marie- :-o LOL!! Appears that Sherlock and his partner across the table and that huge ante pot have worried looks on their faces.Think he's deduced that the fix is in on this game?Maybe it's the realization they've bluffed their way into a huge loss.If that's the case perhaps the hound is contemplating grabbing one of the bottles from behind him and putting a violent end to this hand.Hate the wallpaper...

via Instapundit:

We put them in those rowboats — we antiwar demonstrators, we sophisticated, smart guys. The war was nearly over when I graduated from high school. But high school students were old enough to demonstrate. They were old enough to feel superior to the fools who were running the government. And they were old enough to have known better. They were old enough to have understood what communist regimes had cost the world in suffering, from the prisons of Havana to the death camps of Siberia.

Today we are haunted, in thinking about Iraq, by the fact that a noisy, self-important, narcissistic minority talked the United States into betraying its allies. (Loyalty didn't mean a lot to antiwar demonstrators; honor didn't mean a lot.) We betrayed our allies and hurried home, to introspect. They stayed on, to suffer. We were eager to make love, not war, but the South Vietnamese weren't offered that option. Their alternatives were to knuckle under or die.

@30 ralph

I'm telling you that D.C. is full of treasonous bastards, and he's leading the pack.
Let's do a repeat of Viet Nam so we can assure ourselves of more, bigger and better violent attacks from the terrorists.

Charles, this is clever but I'm a real dog lover, and I like poker too. Associating either one with these dingbats just seems so, so- wrong.

iowahawk (#15),

I love Palestinian art, especially those adorable "Precious Martyrs" porcelain figurines.

Ya know, personally I think those "Precious" figurines are getting a little out of hand.

Here is more information about this evil man Sami Kuntar. My heart just really goes out to the lady she lost both her children and her husband in one day. By the way,I read he has hardly no remorse for the awful crime he committed.Shame on him [Link: www.aish.com...]
