Moonbat Alert!

Sat, Dec 13, 2003 at 8:36:20 am PST

An Australian representative of the Religion of Peace™ dropped in to LGF early this morning to post two subliterate messages just brimming with that special love and tolerance for which Islam is famous. First, he denied that the Australian imam we recently quoted actually said that gays should be beheaded. Then, to prove that no Muslim would ever say such a thing, he posted this:

baldy u can go get f-ked and ull pay the price in the fire of hell wen allah burns ur brains....ur not gonna smell paradies as muslims will ok ....homosexualls out der go get stuffed and wen u die dats wen the real torment will start cuz use r gonna get punished so badly dat u wish u had ur heads cut offf.

Sigh, Charles.

If only we could find this particular cretin's age. I'd wager that he/she is not even older than 14. That grammar is pathetic; it almost looks like German with all of the misspellings and the use of "der" and "die."

Sad. Very sad.

I see alot of that kind of rhetoric on the young Muslims forums and it's their version of "rap" or a take-off of "black street talk." Surprisingly, most of that sort of "lingo" is female --not male.

The person above might be a very young male as someone suggested but the language and even substance is more characteristic of young Muslim females.

Seventy years later we have a bunch of muslim States that have built nothing, have no infrustructures, no real schools, no middle class.
Hey but they had to be freed from the (British/whatever) oppression or control, oh yeah, and who was saying these things knew what the long term result would have become.

Now they think they joke at us, they don't even understand that they really are more than ten centuries backward, even mentally.

OT, OnT, who knows

I have been using my brand of IM to search and find the rop(ma)'ers who are online and speak english.

They really do hate us is what I am finding. More so they hate Israel. They hate the US by proxy, it is run by Israel you know ;)

I have sent IMs to probably 300+ rop(ma)'ers over the last three or four days. For every one hundred I send I get maybe twenty "FU"'s, twenty "laughing faces" five ty's (thank you) and three or four conversations. Eight of these conversations are scathing attacks against the US and Israel. I generally sit back and don't counter attack their opinions. I just let their spit fly.

So far I have had three conversations where they know the shall I say LGF perspective is true and accurate. All three have been girls in their late teens in Iran. One insisted one adding me to her buddy list and has been bugging the crap out of me since.

The only mysterious experience I have had so far was from a male in Iran who tried to install a virus in my comuter over the message device. He succeded in shutting down my computer three of the last for times I messaged him. I stopped messaging him. (Hell I need a new computer now anyway)

I will continue this effort to put a finger on 'its' pulse.

Oh yeah, the stock first message I have been sending is,

"Hello, I wish for you liberty and freedom to live how you want, think how you want and do as you want."

OIL-PATCH REGIME PERMITS AL-QAEDA CLERIC TO ADDRESS CONFERNCE IN OIL-PATCH STATE:

[Link: www.arabianews.org...]

Wahabi sheik Jibreen wants the extermination of all 5,000,000,000 non-muslims on the planet. In the meantime this wild animal wants muslims to slaughter American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. If George abd-Bandar Bush wasn't a Saudi slave he would see to it that Jibreen received a bullet in his forehead. Jibreen has been granted a diplomatic passport, to ensure that he is immune from America's secular laws:

SHEIKH IBN JIBREEN'S FATWA ON AIDING THE TALIBAAN (This was issued before Sept. 11th incident)
=================================================

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

The eminent Sheikh al-Allaamah, ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Jibreen, may Allah bless you.

Question: It is not hidden from you what has befallen our brothers in Afghanistan, from the hardships of the enemies of Allah besieging them, and constrained livelihood, and lack of helpers and aides, and by being fiercely attacked from all directions by the enemies of Islam upon this state [The Taliban State of Afghanistan]. In spite of it all, [the government] does not cease to be firm in establishing the laws of Allah on the earth of Allah, and thus they are in need of help and to be allied with in their trial. Therefore, what is the ruling regarding aiding this movement with wealth, persons and supplications? What are your directions for the students of knowledge and the competent, skilful people? May Allah reward you with good.

Response:

Praise be to Allah and that suffices, and peace be upon His chosen slaves.

To proceed: When the Muslims throughout the world come to know that a group from their brothers have been oppressed and harmed, it becomes obligatory upon them to aid them and to strive to help them with whatever they can from the wealth, persons, opinions and statements. [Especially] when we know of the State of Taliban in Afghanistan that it rules with the Laws of Allah, establishes the Islamic education [system], prevents the means to Shirk, demolishes worshipped objects and idols, exhibits the manifestation of Islam by announcing the call for prayers, establishes the Friday [prayers] and congregational [prayers], prohibits sins and the forbidden acts, as indeed these are all apparent signs of their good intentions and sound faith. And since the Kafir states, such as the Christian, the Jews, the Communists and the Atheists, all of them, are against the correct [version of] Islam, and similarly the Kafir innovators, for verily it is obligatory upon the Muslims to help their brothers in this [Taliban] State of Muslims, and to endeavour to repel the plots of their enemies, those who seek to cripple the Muslims’ movement and to exterminate them. For Allah the Exalted has said:

“And co-operate upon righteousness and piety”,

and in the Hadeeth:

“Make Jihaad against the Mushrikeen with your wealth, your persons and your tongues”.

The Muslims should aid their brothers with wealth and men, and should increase in their supplications for them, for victory and dominion, as Allah is the one who responds to calls of those who supplicate, and indeed He is All-Hearing and Near.

Stated and Written by
'Abdullaah ibn 'Abdur-Rahmaan al-Jibreen
The retired member of al-Ifta.

And may the Salaah and Salaam be upon Muhammad, and his followers and companions.

Jibreen follows the al-taqiyah (permissible lying) line, and both attacks the Taliban/al-Qaeda massacre of 3000 people in New York, but defends the violent motivation:

Fatwah On-line:

Shaykh Jibreen clarifies his position regarding the fatwa attributed to him...

al-Hamdu-Lillaahi Rabbil-'Aalameen was-Salaatu was-Salaamu 'alaa Ashrafil-Anbiyaa.e wal-Mursaleen, wa ba'd:

On October 15, 2001, Fatwa-Online was informed by Maajid al-'Alee that:

Shaykh 'Abdullaah ibn Jibreen, previously a member of the Council of Senior Scholars said: "Indeed that which took place a few weeks ago in the hijacking of the airplanes and crashing them into the buildings is impermissible, and we reject it and distance ourselves from such acts."

The Shaykh went on to advise: "that we (need to) return to Allaah and rule in accordance with His Law (Sharee'ah)" for indeed that is "the means to attain honour and firmness".

The Shaykh went on to advise the Muslim youth: "that their actions must be based upon considering the good and evil consequences as established in the Sharee'ah, and that they refer to the position of the scholars such that they do not instigate any harmful effects upon the Muslims".

The Shaykh also mentioned that the explosions which caused the destruction of the buildings in America "are probably the cause for the stagnation in the (acceptance of) Islaamic da'wah and the distorted view of Islaam in many countries".

Regarding the fatwa in which the Shaykh calls for the assistance of Taalibaan, the ruling party in Afghanistan, with one's wealth and property, and in person, then the Shaykh explained: "This (fatwa) was issued last Safar (second month of Islaamic calendar)" and that no new fatwa has been issued by him after the attacks which occurred in Washington and New York in September.

The Shaykh finished off by calling upon the Muslims to reflect upon the suffering of their Muslim brethren in Palestine and Afghanistan where "their land has been split up and they are prevented from entering neighbouring territory by neighbouring states, instead sufficing with life in dishevelled refugee camps where they experience much hunger, difficulties and cold and where illness and death threaten them".

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - wa sal-Allaahu wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad, was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuh.

these clowns think that they have already seen 'repression'.

This is the most ridiculous side of the whole war: we walk like dancers, trying not to damage too much, they call it repression. And they go on killing.
Early or later it boils up to the real level.
Oh they will regret having played with words.

Technical note: all over (modern/contemporary)history, 'repression' has been carried on by very special milicias, with no direct link to Armies.
When we decide to save our civilization this will be one of the flags to notice.

Re Jibreen in Texas:

The al-Qaeda wing of the Saudi state financed "Council of Senior Scholars" attack a Salafi-Wahabi wing who accused one of the Jibreen-Uthaymeen-Humood wing of supporting terrorism (See Humood fatwah in a following post):

In Defence of Sheikh Humood al-'Uqla
Abuz-Zubair
[Link: www.islamicawakening.com...]

Final Nail in the Coffin of Fatwa-Online

We have recently been informed about a certain clarification regarding our post called, “The Two Senior Scholars Who Dared to Speak” that:

a) Sheikh Ibn Jibreen in fact passed this fatwa before September the 11th, therefore, his words were not in regards to the WTC event, and thereafter, the attack on Afghanistan.

b) The Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia considers the "fatwa" of Hamood al-'Uqlaa ash-Shu'aybee in which he spoke about the "al-Qaa’idah" movement of Usaamah ibn Laadin "not worthy of adhering to."

Regarding the first clarification, we have now confirmed that the fatwa of Sheikh Ibn Jibreen regarding aiding the Taliban was in fact before September the 11th and that no other fatwa has been released since, which makes us even happier that our Sheikh Ibn Jibreen was in fact ahead of time, and passed a fatwa with regards to Taliban before even it was needed. The fact remains that Sheikh Ibn Jibreen, to this day, has not retracted this fatwa either officially or unofficially, thus his fatwa still stands. This also proves to us that the website which claims to be representing the fatawa of the senior scholars of the Ummah, is not fair in relating views and opinions of the senior scholars, rather it is very selective in presenting the fatawas, as it only selects those which complies with their agenda, while other fatawas are deliberately hidden away. Therefore, to disprove this claim, and particularly after acknowledging that the fatwa is correctly attributed to Sheikh Ibn Jibreen, we request the website maintainers to place the fatwa of Sheikh Ibn Jibreen regarding Taliban on their website (as well as other dozens of fatawa from senior scholars attacking their figureheads and doctrine).

With regards to the second clarification, it would be enough to say that the website that initially propagated this news had actually taken it down, probably after realizing that it was a lie upon the senior scholars, but I guess they decided to persist with their deception at the end and placed the statement back online. Therefore, in order to expose their blunder and deception upon the Ummah, as well as in defence of Sheikh Humood, I would like to mention this affair in brief.

The aforementioned website was informed – either directly or indirectly – of a statement regarding al-‘Allaamah Humood bin ‘Uqla ash-Shu’aybi issued by the Amaanah Hay’ah Kibaar al-‘Ulamaa (The Secretariat Department for the Council of Senior Scholars – and NOT the Senior Scholars themselves!), from a state-sponsored, secular/modernist magazine called “‘Ukaadh”. In the past, ‘Ukaadh was a market place in Taa’if where the Arabs would gather in Jaahiliyah with their jaahili poetry with someone announcing his Kufr and Shirk, while other praising his idols.

Sheikh ‘Ali al-Khudhair and Sheikh ‘Abdul-‘Aziz al-Jarboo’ have already refuted the hilarious comments supposedly made by Amaanah. The former, in his refutation made a very good point that there are two main possibilities regarding such comments. The first possibility is that the magazine has shamelessly lied upon the Amaanah, which is not a surprise for us at all, in which case the Amaanah should clarify its position. The second possibility is that the words are correctly attributed to the Amaanah, and that Amaanah has lied and exposed its sheer ignorance, and oppressed, insulted and slandered not only al-‘Allaamah Humood bin ‘Uqla ash-Shu’aybi, but also Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibraahim and Sheikh ‘Abdul-Aziz Ibn Baz – may Allah have mercy on them, as they both gave Tazkiya to Sheikh Humood.

But first, let us see who exactly is this Amaanah of the Hay’ah al-Kibaar al-‘Ulamaa. The Amaanah of Hay’ah al-Kibaar al-‘Ulamaa is composed of some bearded and some clean-shaven, big moustache Muslims, whose responsibility is restricted to cutting paper, sending posts, burning Bukhoor and making tea and coffee for the Scholars and arranging meetings for them, etc. In a nutshell, they only play an administrative role, nothing more.

Therefore, if the comments are truly attributed to the Amaanah, then we simply have a case of a rumour-monger, narrating from a modernist-secular magazine, which is narrating from coffee-makers, but definitely not from Hay’ah al-Kibaar al-‘Ulama. Certainly, the Kibaar al-‘Ulamaa would not release a statement belittling Sheikh Humood, whilst some of the members of this Council are in fact students of Sheikh Humood himself, including the head of this Council, Sheikh ‘Abdul-‘Aziz Aal-ash-Sheikh.

But let us now relate something of the ludicrous statements, apparently made by Amaanah and refute it.

It states: The Council stressed that "ash-Shu'aybee has no right to pass fataawa, and that he never previously held such a position. It also stressed that the passing of a fatwa is not accepted except from one who is suitably qualified and prepared with complete knowledge of the Sharee'ah and its evidences."

Comment: The above is simply a lie, fabrication and a slander against the Sheikh because:

al-‘Allaamah Humood bin ‘Uqla ash-Shu’aybi has been studying for over forty years – 'Aqeedah, Fiqh, Usool al-Fiqh, Nahw, Tafseer and is regarded to be a Professor and a Specialist. The ‘Allaamah is from the foremost students of Sheikh Ibn Baz and Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibrahim, so much so, that he would be able to repeat the entire lesson learnt from Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibrahim from his memory upon request, as stated by Sheikh Saalih al-Atram.

Many of the well-known scholars, students of knowledge, and judges have been his students, including the General Mufti – Sheikh ‘Abdul-‘Aziz Aal-ash-Sheikh, and other members of the Council of Senior Scholars, including Sheikh Saalih al-Fawzaan. Apart from them, Sheikh Saalih al-Lahaydan, Dr. 'Abdullah Ibn 'Abdul-Muhsin at-Turki, Dr. 'Abdullah Ibn Muhammad bin Ibraahim Aal-ash-Sheikh, Sheikh 'Abdur-Rahmaan bin Saalih al-Jabr, Sheikh 'Abdur-Rahmaan Bin Sulaiman al-JaarAllah, Sheikh 'Abdur-Rahmaan bin 'Abdul-'Aziz al-Killiyah, Sheikh 'Abdur-Rahmaan bin Ghaith, Sheikh 'Abdullah al-Ghunaiman, Sheikh Salmaan bin Fahd al-'Awdah, and the list continues.

The ‘Allaamah was appointed by the Islamic University of Madeenah to review and mark books written by some well-known scholars, in order to promote them to PhD level. From them, Sheikh Abu Bakr al-Jazaa`iri and Sheikh Rabee’ al-Madkhali. He was also appointed by the same university to review a book by Sheikh Muhammad Amaan al-Jaami as-Somaali and to determine whether it is suitable to be published or not. Likewise, Imaam Muhammad bin Sa’ud University appointed the Sheikh to review some books by Sheikh Muhammad bin Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen – may Allah have mercy on him – in order to promote him to PhD level.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibraahim (teacher of Sheikh Ibn Baz) appointed Sheikh Humood to issue fataawas and deliver lectures in the Haram in Makkah from 1380 to 1384 AH during Hajj seasons, which refutes the lie of the coffee-makers, that he has never been appointed to give fatawa.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibraahim instated Sheikh Humood as a judge, but Sheikh Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shanqeetee requested Sheikh Ibraahim to allow him to remain at university, due to what he saw from Sheikh Shu’aybi’s learning, understanding and memorisational skills.

Sheikh Ibn Baz – may Allah have mercy on him – requested Sheikh Humood’s help in teaching the Books of Sunnah and Salafiyah, so he writes:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Dispenser of Mercy

The Office of General Mufti, dated: 26/10/1415 AH

Re: Jibreen in Texas on shariah passport:

The dominant al-Qaeda wing - Jibreen-Uthaymeen-Humood - of the Saudi state supported "Council of Senior Scholars" defends this pro-genocide fatwah:

SHEIKH HUMOOD BIN UQLA ASH-SHU'AIBI'S FATWA ON THE RECENT EVENTS

Q: To proceed, Sheikh Hamood ibn 'Abdullaah ash-Shu'aybee, there have been a lot of talks on what happened in America some supporting and blessing others opposing and condemning it. What is the correct stand in these two opinions according to your view? We similarly hope you will go into details in the issue because of the ambiguities in it.

A: Praise is due to Allah Lord of the Worlds, may the Salaat and Salaam be with the unlettered Prophet, his family, his companions and all who live according to his path till the Day of Judgment. Before answering the question we should know that whatever decision the non-Muslim state, America, takes -especially critical decisions which involve war - it is taken based on opinion poll and/or voting within the house of representatives and senate, which represent directly, the exact opinion of the people they represent - the people of America - through their representatives in the Parliament. Based on this, any American who voted for war is a like a fighter, or at least a supporter, as we will explain later. Let it also be understood that the guide and final decision on the interactions of Muslims with the Unbelievers are the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet may the Salat and Salam be with him; And not politics or personal benefits. And the Qur'an has explicitly explained this issue and clarified it because of its importance and danger. When we refer to the Qur'an we realize that it has left no one in doubt nor did it leave any gray areas on this issue. And all the various verses which discuss this issue emphasize two things, namely Al-Walaa' (love and alliance) and Al-Baraa'ah (hate and opposition), which confirms the fact that Al-Walaa' and Al-Baraa'ah are strong pillars in the Islamic Shari'ah, an issue on which the scholars - both the past and contemporary - have consensus. Allah says warning against Loving the unbelievers, taking sides with them and leaning towards them:

"O believers! Take not Jews and Christians as your (protecting) friends, they are allies of one another. Whosoever allies with them, amongst you, then he is one of them... "
"O Believers! Do not take My enemy and your enemy, as friends, giving them your affection... "

And Allah said:
"O Believers! Take not private friends from among your enemies expressing open love to them.. "
And He said on the necessity of rejecting the unbelievers
"certainly you had an excellent example in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people we are free from you and from whatever ye worship other than Allah, we have rejected you hostility has stated between us and you till the Day of Judgment..."
And the Exalted said:
"Never will you find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day making friendships with those oppose Allah and His messenger even though they were their parents or their sons.."
And the Exalted and praised said:
"Say: if your parents, your children, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the weath you have acquired, theommerce in which you fear decline, or the dwellins you are pleased with, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving hard and fighting in His cause, then wait until Allah brings His Decision. And Allah guides not the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient)"
These verses and tens of others are clear statements on the obligation and necessity of opposing unbelievers and hating them, as well as rejecting them. And I don't think any person with the slightest level of knowledge is ignorant of this.
Having said this, you should know that America is a Kufr State that is totally against Islam and Muslims. In fact it has reached the peak of that arrogance in the form of open attacks on several Muslim Nations as it did in Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Philistine, Libya and others, where it - America - allied with the forces of Kufr such as Britain, Russia and others in attacking and trying to exterminate them.

Similarly, America expelled the Palestinians from their homes and housed the 'brothers of Pigs and Apes' in them; and stood firmly in support of the criminal Zionist State of the Jews, giving them all they need in the form of wealth, weapons and training. How then can America after all these things not be considered an enemy of the Muslim Nations and at war with them? But, because they have reached the peak of tyranny and arrogance; because they have seen the collapse of the Soviet Union in the hands of the Muslims in Afghanistan, they thought that they are the Ultimate Power above which there is no power. Unfortunately, they forgot that Allah, the Exalted and Mighty, is Stronger than them and can humble and destroy them.

On the other hand, it is unfortunate and disturbing to see that a lot of fellow scholars have preferred the side of mercy and emotion and forgotten or ignored what that Kufr Nation (America) is doing such as killing, destroying and spoiling most of the Muslim Lands, and showing no mercy or kindness in that. Consequently, I find it incumbent upon me to refute some false claims and misconceptions that some fellow scholars are relying upon in trying to support their positions.

Humood genocide fatwah, accepted as halal by Saudi state supported "Council of Senior Scholars":

MISCONCEPTION NO. 1
One of them is what I heard from some of them, "that we have agreements and pacts between us and America and hence it is binding on us to fulfil them." My response to this is from two points of view:

The person saying this has already concluded that it is Muslims who committed the act, and up to now, no proof of law has been established to the effect that Muslims are behind the attack, or that they participated in it, in which case it may be said that they have broken the covenant. So, since, it is yet to be established that we committed the act, nor that we did partake in its execution, how then can it be said that we have broken the 'Pact'? Of course expressing our hatred for those unbelievers and rejecting them has nothing to do with breaking covenants or pacts. It is just something Allah has compelled upon us in clear texts of His Glorious Book.

Even if we accept that there are covenants and pacts between Muslims and America, why then did America not fulfill its side of the agreement? Why has it not stopped its aggression and harming a lot of Muslims? Is it not an established fact that: all pacts are binding on both parties; and that whenever they do not fulfill their roles, the pact becomes invalid and the covenant broken? Allah the Exalted said:
"But if they break their covenants after its solemnizing it, and attack your religion, then, fight ye the leaders of Kufr, for they (deserve) no covenant..."
MISCONCEPTION NO. 2
They say that: "among the victims were some, innocent and sinless". Response to this is from several points of view:

Sa'ab bin Jathamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported from that the Prophet was asked about the people in the homes of Mushrikun (Polytheist) when they are attacked at night and their women and children are affected, he said: "they are part of them". So, this Hadith shows that women, children and all those the killing of whom is forbidden, when they are separate, it is permissible to kill them when they are mixed up with the fighters and it is not possible to separate. This is because they had asked the Prophet about the case which is "attacking at night", in which case it is not possible to differentiate, and he permitted them because "things may be allowed when they occur along the way but be forbidden when separate".

Also, Muslim commanders have always used Catapult when fighting the Kuffar (a kind of weapon that was used in the past when trying to break into an enemy camp which is fully fortressed - it destroys whatever it meets by its weight, i.e. something like a catapult - translator), and it is obvious that a Catapult when applied in a war does not differentiate between a fighter and others, hence it may afflict some those so-called 'innocent souls', but that not withstanding this is an established practice among Muslims in their wars. Ibn Qudamah may Allah have mercy on him, said: "And it is permissible to use Catapult because the Prophet may the Salaat and Salaam be with him used Catapult on the people of Ta'if; and Amr bin al-As did the same to the people of Alexandria" (Al-Mughniy, vol. 10, p503). And Ibn al-Qasim said it is permissible to use Catapult against Kuffar even if children, women and old men and monks are killed inadvertently, because 'Nikayah' (doing what will weaken the enemy) is allowed according to the consensus of Ulama. Ibn Rushd said: "'Nikayah' is permissible according to Ijama' and on any type of polytheists" (Al-Hashiyah ala' Ar-Raudh, vol. 4, p 271).
Here, there is a question we will like to ask those who use the word "Terrorism" on what happened in America, and I want their reply. The question is: When America attacked a Pharmaceutical firm in Sudan, using its planes and bombs, destroying it and killing everybody in it, staff and laborers, what was this called? Shouldn't the action of America in the Sudanese firm be considered as an act of terrorism? Else how can what those people did in America be treated as an act of terrorism? Why is everybody condemning and rejecting what was done to those buildings in America and yet we did not hear any such condemnations on the destruction caused by America in the Sudanese firm?

I certainly don't see any difference between the two acts, except that the money that was used in building the firm is Muslims' and the workers and staff killed by destroying the firm were Muslims; Whereas, the buildings destroyed by those hijackers was built with the money of non-Muslims and the victims of the explosion were non-Muslims. So, is this the difference that made some fellow brothers to call what happened in America 'Terrorism'!! While at the same time they neither condemned what happened in Sudan, nor called it TERRORISM? Similarly, what happened to the Libyans of deliberate and imposed 'starvation'; 'starvation' of the Iraqis plus almost daily attacks; the sanctions and attacks launched against Afghanistan, a Muslim Nation: all these, why are they not termed "terrorism"? What else can we term them if not terrorism?

Re Jibreen in Texas on shariah passport:

Part 3
Humood genocide fatwah

In addition, we should ask those people, what do you mean by "innocent and sinless"? Those are one of three categories/groups:

The first category: They may be among those who neither fought, nor supported their country by their persons, wealth or opinion and suggestions or anything else. It is not permissible to kill this category, on condition that they can be differentiated from the rest, but if they are mixed up such that they can't be separated, then it is allowed to kill them along with the others and by extension, like old men, women, children, the sick and the disabled or devoted monks. Ibn Qudamah said: "It is allowed to kill women and children in night attacks and in demolished buildings or ditches, so far as the intention is not to kill them in particular; And it is allowed to kill their (the enemies') animals as a means for killing and subduing them; there is no difference of opinion on this." (Al-Mughniy, with the Sharh -commentary, 10/503).
Similarly he said: "It is permissible to attack enemies at night. Ahmad bin Hanbal said: 'there is no problem with night attacks, were the Romans not attacked at night?' And he said: 'we don't know anybody who disliked night attacks" (Al-Mughniy 10/503).

The second category: Or, they (the victims) may be part of those who did not participate directly in the war but helped with their wealth or opinions, these cannot be called "innocent", nay they are among the fighters and part of the strength of the enemy. Ibn Abdil Barr may Allah has mercy on him, said in Al-Istizkar: "There is no dispute among the scholars that whoever fights among women or old men, killing him is allowed, similarly, any child capable of fighting , if he does may be killed." (Al-Istizkar vol. 14, p 74). Similarly, Ibn Qudamah reported the Ijamaa' on killing women, children and old men if they help their people; Ibn Abdil Barr said: "They have a concensus on the fact that the Prophet killed Duraid bin on the Day of the Battle of Hunayn because he was an experienced in war and contributed his opinions. Thus whoever is like that among old men deserves to be killed according to all (scholars) (At-Tamheed, vol. 16 p 142).
And an-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him related the Ijama' (in Sharh Muslim in "the Book of Jihad") that elderly men among the non-Muslims should be killed if they have knowledge of war strategies. Ibn Qasim also quoted in Al-Hashiyat that: "they had Ijmaa' that the ruling concerning any strategist is that of any fighter in Jihad. This Ijmaa' was reported from Ibn Taimiyyah. Similarly, he related from Ibn Taimiyyah that "those who assist a group and their helpers are (to be considered) part of them, in whatever is for or against them".

The third category: Or they may be Muslims, and it is not permissible for these to be killed separately; But when they are mixed up with others in such a way that they have to be killed with them, then it is allowed, and these is the case known as 'Mas'alatut Tatarrus' (when non-Muslims hold Muslims as shield against attack), which was discussed earlier. Thus, what many are babbling and repeating on the case of the "innocent victims", is nothing but the effect of the West and its media, to the extent that many an unwary person repeats the words and expressions of our enemies, which are in direct contradiction with the expressions of Shari'ah. Let us not, also, forget that it is permissible for us to treat non-Muslims similar to the way they treated us; and in this there is a reply and clear proof to all those who repeat the words "innocent victims", because Allah the Exalted has made that. Among the texts on that:
"Thus, if you retaliate, retaliate with what equals the aggression afflicted upon you"
and He said:
"...and those whom, when an aggression afflicts them, they revenge, but the reward of an evil is an evil equal to it".
Also among the sayings of scholars on the permissibility of taking revenge: Ibn Taimiyyah said: "it is their right to mutilate. So it is their right to do it in revenge and payback in the same coins, OR they may waive it, but patience is better. This is in a case where the mutilation does not lead to a gain in the Jihad, and it is not for an equal treatment from them (the enemies); But when Mutilating them will lead to their accepting the faith or warn them against another aggression, then, it is - in this case - part of recommended Jihad and retribution." (This was quoted by Ibn Muflih in Alfuru' vol.6 p.218).

Else, whoever says that there are "innocent victims" without any differentiation between their categories, must accept that he is accusing the Prophet and the Companions and those after them that they killed "innocent victims", according to them! Because the Prophet used Catapult in his war against Ta'if, and it is the nature of Catapult that it does not differentiate. Similarly, the Prophet (saw) killed all whom those who had attained puberty among the Jews of Bani Quraidah without differentiating between them. Ibn Hazm, commenting on the Hadith that "Banu Quraidah were paraded before the Prophet, and he ordered the killing of all those who had attained puberty", said: "this is a general ruling from the Prophet, since he did not leave out an old man, a merchant, a farmer or any other person; this was related from him with genuine Ijmaa' (Al-Muhallaa vol. 6 p. 299) Ibn al-Qayyim said in 'Zaadul Ma'aad': "it is part of his guidance (i.e. the Prophet's) that whenever he made a pact with some people and they broke the covenant, or some of them broke the agreement, and the rest supported them on that , and accepted it; he fights all of them and considers all as having broken the covenant. As he did to Banu Quraizah and Banun Nadheer and Banu Qainuqa', and as he treated the people of Mecca. So this is Sunnah method or approach to those who betray their covenants. Similarly, he said: "Ibn Taimiyyah has certainly ruled that the Christians of Mashriq should be fought when they assisted the enemies of the Muslims against them, and helped them with their wealth and weapons, despite the fact that they did not did not fight us. He considered them to have broken the covenant as Quraish did during the time of the Prophet by helping Banu Bakr bin Wa'il in fighting those in alliance with the prophet".

In conclusion, we all know that the non Muslim west, especially America will definitely seize this opportunity and utilize that in its favor and through fresh injustice to the Muslims in Afghanistan and Palestine, Chechnya and other areas, whoever the perpetrators may be. And they will try to eradicate Jihad and those who engage in it and it will never succeed; and they will do that in the name of fighting Terrorism; and they will go ahead and fight our brothers in faith, in the Taliban ruled, Muslim Nation of Afghanistan, the only nation that has given a cover for genuine Mujahiddin and assists them at a time when everybody has forsaken them, and who never bowed down to the Non-Muslim Western nations. Thus, it is compulsory to assist this Islamic Nation in Jihad, with whatever we can Allah the Exalted says:

"The Believers, men and women, are helpers of one another"
And He said:
"Help each other in righteousness and obedience"
Thus, it is compulsory to assist them with wealth and persons and opinions and advices and through the Media by defending them and their honor and their public image; and through prayers for them that they vanquish the enemy and have steadfastness.
And like we said, it is compulsory upon all Muslims to help the Taliban Government it is also equally compulsory upon the Muslim Governments especially the neighboring countries to assist them against the Kufr of the West. And let those know that that failing to assist Taliban that is being fought for its religion and because of the help it gives to Mujahideen and, assisting the kuffar against them is the kind of friendship and support of the kuffar that Allaah warned against when He said:

"Believers, take not my enemy and your enemy as friends in whom you put love"
And He said:
"Believers take not my enemy and yours as Protecting friends."
Certainly it will go down in history that these countries betrayed their brothers and it will remain as a kind of bad record on them and their people that will remain forever!! Similarly let those neighboring and nearby countries be ware that if they refuse to help the brothers and allowed the enemy to attack them, that Allah may face them with His Natural Disasters and terrible situations as a punishment and chastisement on them. The Prophet said a Muslim is a brother of a Muslim, he does not forsake or betray him.. and he also said in a Hadith Qudsi: "Allah said "Whoever fights my Friend should get ready for war with Me And He said "Whoever allowed a Muslim to be humiliated while he could assist him, Allah will humiliate him in front of the entire creation on the Day of Judgment (reported by Ahmad). And we wish to remind the Pakistan Government that allowing the Americans, the enemies of Muslims, to use their land is not informed by wisdom nor borne out of experience politics at all because it will lead to giving the opportunity for America to discover their secrets of their country and know the location of its nuclear power with all precision and something that has terrified the West, and that may lead to the Americans giving the Jews the chance to attack the Nuclear Plants in Pakistan as they did those of Iraq earlier. And how come does Pakistan trust America is enemy that has been warning and warning them! I really think that the reasonable personalities in Pakistan will not allow it, not to mention their Good Muslims will ever accept this nor will they just fold their arms and watch surrender to their enemies of yesterday. We pray to Allah that He helps His Religion and raises His Word and exalts Islam and the Muslims and the Mujahideen and to destroy America and its followers and those who assist them. Verily He has that Power and is Able to do so.

The DoD, under pressure from George abd-Bandar Bush, censored these disclosures from the tape as issued to the media. The following fatwah, by Baraak is an exposition of the wahabi majority position, viz the Taliban:

azzam.com
Fatwa on Helping the Taliban by Sheikh Abdur-Rahman Al-Barraak

Question: What are the ways in which all the Muslims - everyone according to his own situation - can help their Muslim brethren in Afghanistan?

Answer: The Eminent Sheikh Abdur-Rahman Al-Barraak replied saying:

In the Name of Allah the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

All praise is due to Allah, whose Seizure is severe, who does as He wishes.

May salutations be upon our Prophet Muhammad who said, "I was sent along with the hour as a bringer of glad tidings and as a warner. My provision has been put under the shade of my spear. Humiliation and belittlement have been made for those who oppose my command. Whoever imitates a people is from them."

There is no doubt, that America's declaration of war upon the Taliban government of Afghanistan is [an act of] oppression and transgression. It is a crusade against Islam, as the President of the United States of America has [himself] been quoted [as saying]. The Nation-States in the Muslim World's lack of assistance to them in this critical situation is a major
tragedy, let alone helping the infidels against them, which is taking them as allies. The Most High says,

"O You who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are allies of each other. If any of you takes them as allies, then he is one of them. Indeed Allah does not guide the wrongdoers." (Al-Ma'idah:51)

Because of this verse, the scholars have regarded helping the disbelievers against the Muslims as one of those things which invalidate one's Islam.

It is obligatory upon the Muslims to aid their oppressed brothers against the oppressive infidels. The Messnger of Allah - sallallahu alayhi wa sallam - said, "The Muslim is his fellow Muslim's brother. He does not oppress him and he does not surrender him". [However], killing a "mu'aahid" (one who has a pact with the Muslims), or a "musta'min" (one who has been granted security by the Muslims in their lands), is not [a legitimate way] of assisting the Muslims, nor is it Jihad in the path of Allah. No aggression is to be shown against them. Such [aggression] is from the greatest of sins. The Most High says,

"If you fear treachery from a people, throw back [their covenant] to them, [so as to be] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not love the treacherous" (Al-Anfal:58).

It has been related in authentic hadith that the Prophet -sallallahu alayhi wa sallam - said, "He who kills a "mu'aahid" will not smell the fragrance of paradise"

It is well known that the Taliban Governments first crime - as far as the United States are concerned - is that they did not submit to their leadership, that they did not abide by the laws of the United Nations, which are refered to as "International Law" that gives the United States the right to veto a decision. Whoever goes outside these regulations undergoes sanctions, which every nation is obliged to abide by. This is the most perfect form of domineering and enslavement.

It is obligatory upon the Muslims to take on the [necessary] means of [attaining] honour, which Allah has made for his believing servants. The Most High says,

"And to Allah belongs the honour, and to his Messenger, and to the believers, but the Hypocrites do not know."

The only reason for the humiliation of the Muslims, and their following of their enemies is that they have turned away from their religion, the weakness of their Iman, and their disunity, to the extent that they left Jihad in the path of Allah. The Prophet - sallallahu alayhi wa sallam - said,

"When you deal with 'eenah' (a very subtle usurious transaction), and become satisfied with agriculture, and leave Jihad in the path of Allah, He will send humilation upon you, and he will not remove it from you until you return to your religion."

This Coalition against the Taliban government along with its weakness, its hardships, and the hardships of the Afghan people is a disaster, which makes obligatory assisting them and extending to them the hand of help. At the very least, one should pray for them, and perform "Qunut" prayer in order to lift the disaster, the effects and harms of which are not restricted to them alone.

We ask Allah that He aids His Religion, that He raises His Cause, that He unites the Muslims upon the Truth, that He disunites the infidels, and that He ruins them completely. Indeed He is Ever-Strong, Ever Powerful. He is capable of all things. May salutations be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions.

This article may or may not be helpful. It looks into possible translation errors that may have crept into the Koran - primarily the "virgins v. raisins" debate.

And while I admire your efforts, I'm skeptical that you'll be successful. I engaged in a raging, months-long email debate with a socialist friend. Extremely intelligent and well educated. He freely admits he's fueled by emotion much (if not most) of the time. I hit him with TONS of facts and documented evidence; it didn't even make a dent. His favorite ploys were to equivocate and shift the discussion, i.e. "we interred Japanese-Americans, who are we to lecture Sadaam about civil liberties etc...".

So good luck, but don’t be surprised if you don’t make a lot of headway.

Sorry.

Most of these people DON'T want to change their minds. So they wouldn't do it if the Messiah came down from Heaven, grabbed their shirts, and shoved truth scrolls up their noses.

Speaking of "those people", I got sick of hearing the "George Bush is the antichrist" slogan, so I shot back,

"I have definitive proof he is not - because everyone will LOVE the antichrist."

That, coupled with the very long email I sent with the facts of "Occupied Palestine" as they put it, has meant that they are no longer talking to me. Like I care.

Tom, you're an ignoramus talking out of your ass. At least, apparently, you got a little self-satisfied sanctimonious satisfaction out of it. I will now take that away from you with glee, you pompous ass.
1. My dad speaks English and writes it exactly like that. He's a Palestinian Arab who's lived in the US almost thrity years. He's likely never heard of instant messaging. All my non-US-born adult male relatives seem to have spontaneously adopted similar styles of shorthand, including "u" for "you"; not to mention the mannerisms of speech and patterns, all of which are very reminiscent of Arabic speakers. It's probably a manifestation of a cognitive dissonance related to two things: Arabic has only three vowels that are letters, aleph, waw, and ya; many words can be spelled without vowels at all. Also, all words are spelled exactly as pronounced. So the irrational spellings of English are difficult for a barely-literate Arabic speaker to grasp when learning the language as an adult.
2. Also, you technically illiterate numbskull, I'm pretty sure Charles wouldn't call someone an Australian if his IP address didn't resolve to an Australian ISP's address. So it's doubtful this person (a male, btw-I saw that Nancy above was speculating it was female; no way is it a female) is an 16 year old American.

An intelligent Christmas

I would like to remember you that for Christmas make an intelligent present is mandatory.

I would like to remember you that your company may grow up if you promote it doing something good for all.

By the way instead of making silly presents or nothing at all, you can help people spend only few money buying presents in good ethical products made by people of poor countries.

By the way instead of giving a diamond to your wife you can give a surgical operation to a child that absolutely needs it, or a year of scholastic education to a whole children class in India or Africa.

I give you one of the many possible chances that I like, whith no intermediates and wastes: just go to the site of The Shantidhara Social Servcice Society, (click here

they are used to do everything with only few money.

Here many other ways to start immediately and be useful to everyone: [Link: www.liberaassociazioneilpopolo.it...]

I know problably you know and do these things, but don't be afraid to talk about it with your friends!

So do your own act; because it's easy to talk to stop wars, but where you don't sow love, there is only hate that grows up.

Listen, Domenico-first off, nobody's eliminating poverty by 2010, I don't know why quasi-socialist retard ngo's like yours even bother to pretend to set dates like that-"eliminate hunger by 2006", "end disease by '08"; don't you think that the whole world has caught on to your bullshit by now? Also, get the fuck out of here with your "three principles of social nonviolence". You and your organization are talking out of your asses.

About Dean - it appears the rumours are true!

Democrat Howard Dean, who has taken pains in recent months to soothe tensions over controversial statements about Israel, remains haunted by the issue this week even as he gains momentum as the front-runner for his party's presidential nomination.

Dean rankled some Jewish Democrats in Florida Saturday, when he told about 1,000 state party activists at a dinner in Orlando that Palestinians were the most prepared people in the Arab world for democracy because women play a prominent role in their government, and that the United States should try to strengthen ''moderates'' in the Islamic world.

The remarks were part of a lengthy explanation by Dean of his philosophy on the Middle East, in which he embraced the ''special relationship'' between the United States and Israel.

But to some Jews in the audience the comments seemed to underscore his assertions at a September debate that the United States should be ''even-handed'' in its approach to the peace process rather than favoring Israel.

'I heard what he said, and a few people at my table turned to me and said, `Did he say what I thought he said?' '' said former U.S. Rep. Larry Smith, who headed Al Gore's presidential campaign efforts in Broward County in 2000. ``Somebody's got to tell me who the moderate Arab states are. Is that our friend Saudi Arabia? Or Iran or Syria?''

CREDIBILITY ISSUE

The Florida dustup is the latest evidence that a series of strategic moves by Dean's campaign to woo Jewish voters has not yet won him the credibility on Israel enjoyed by several of his rivals for the nomination.

Also this week, there were signs that critics of Dean, the former governor of Vermont, are trying to use the Middle East issue against him.

Households in at least one heavily Jewish region of New Jersey have been receiving faxes claiming to be from Dean's campaign promising to ''end support for Israel in favor of even-handedness'' and to ``promote greater understanding and tolerance of Islamic teachings.''

The faxes carry the letterhead ''Dean for President'' and ''Dean for America,'' the correct name for Dean's campaign, and one even cites his endorsement this week by Gore -- but tout fake positions clearly designed to mislead readers about Dean.

Campaign officials said late Thursday they are investigating the origin of the faxes.

Democratic strategists acknowledge the issue could be an obstacle for Dean as he campaigns to win primaries in states with large Jewish populations, such as New York, California and Florida.

A persistent perception that Dean is anti-Israel -- or, at a minimum, inexperienced on the subject after leading a small state with few Jewish residents -- could hurt him with one of his own party's most influential voting blocs.

Dean's Israel statements are also tricky as he builds his campaign around opposition to the war in Iraq -- a war that polls show has support among Jews in the States.

At the same time, the White House has sought to court Jewish voters and offered muted criticism of Israel as it retaliates against Palestinian terrorists.

Dean aides defend his stance on the Middle East, saying that his position on Israel would be no different than that of former President Bill Clinton -- who remains popular among Jews in the United States and Israel for his efforts to strike a peace deal.

''Gov. Dean made some comments that he has since acknowledged could have been more precise,'' said Matt Dorf, a Washington media consultant who has worked for Jewish organizations and was hired by Dean in October for Jewish outreach. ``If you look at everything he's said since then, he has been very clear in his support of Israel and his support for the U.S.-Israel relationship.''

TO HIS DEFENSE

Jewish leaders and Democratic strategists, wary of the political sensitivity of the issue, have begun defending Dean in recent weeks as his victory in the primaries begins to appear more likely.

''This has much less to do with where his heart is and what he believes and much more to do with the fact that he was governor of Vermont and doesn't have a long history of talking about international policy,'' said one leading Jewish activist who asked not to be named.

Dean aides are quick to point out that the campaign's chairman, Steve Grossman, is the former executive director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the nation's most powerful pro-Israel lobbying group.

And several national Jewish leaders, after meeting privately with Dean in the wake of his earlier remarks, left the meeting saying they were comfortable with his positions. One of the Jewish community's most important leaders, Anti-Defamation League Director Abraham Foxman, called the anti-Dean efforts ''hot and heavy'' and based on ''dis- and misinformation,'' according to the Jewish Week of New York.

''It's true that there are some differences between the words that Dean has used and the words that his competitors have used about Israel,'' said David A. Harris, deputy executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council. ``But to demonize Gov. Dean as anti-Israel is simply irrational and unfounded.''

As for his comments in Orlando on Saturday, Dean spoke for several minutes on the issue -- carefully avoiding the controversial language he used in September -- saying the U.S. should be an ''honest broker'' in negotiations.

Still, Dean, who is often criticized for his off-the-cuff remarks, offered positions that are rarely heard from more cautious politicians.

''I believe that a Palestinian state on the West Bank has the best chance of being a successful democracy as any state in the Arab world,'' he said. ``Palestinians have more experience with democracy. They have either lived in the United States, lived in Europe or lived in Israel, which are democracies.''

I don't think Olmert should have apologized, either. I don't understand what he said that could be construed as offensive.

Olmert had sharply criticized Powell's decision to meet earlier this month with Yossi Beilin and Yasser Abed Rabbo, drafters of the ad hoc Middle East peace plan the "Geneva Accord," saying he did not think Powell was "being useful to the (diplomatic) process," and calling it "a wrong step by a senior member of the American administration."

And this problem is?!?!?! Olmert was absolutely right, IMHO. Powell was completely out of line for endorsing an ad hoc peace plan. He's the U.S. Secretary of State. He should not be endorsing unofficial "peace" plans of any kind.

Flooding possible in coastal New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island as heavy rains will melt whatever snow is left. Probably starts all snow everywhere, and I have my fingers crossed the change to rain happens after the Patriots game ends.

NYC and BOS, mostly rain, farthest northern/western suburbs well away from coast over one foot, one foot plus possible in Capital Land (ALB)

A 78-year-old retired Los Angeles schoolteacher said she is breaking a lifetime of silence to announce that she is the illegitimate mixed-race daughter of former U.S. senator James Strom Thurmond (R-S.C.), once the nation's leading segregationist. In an interview, the woman said that Thurmond privately acknowledged her as his daughter and provided financial support since 1941.

But, if the US stays firm that Hamas and the rest must be done away before Israel has to do anything, then nothing will happen on it because you know as well as I do that the Pals are never going to get rid of the terrorists.

I'm not convinced that that's going to happen. The US has already punished Israel for building 'Arafat's Wall' which is, in my opinion, absolutely immoral and disgusting. There shouldn't be a need for that wall but there is! That is like telling the Israelis, "fuck you, be prepared to die, the wall is offensive". And Jews being vaporized isn't? We hear plenty about the "poor Palestinians" but the Israeli economy is suffering terribly, the Israelis are suffering too, not just the Palestinians. Do you see the US punishing the Palestinians for their continuing terror on the Israelis? I know someone will give me the usual smart-ass "Israel has a PM and his name isn't Bush" but the truth is that the US is the one forcing the Road Trap on them and it's a fiasco. Why is Israel being forced to negotiate with terrorists, being nagged to "practice restraint", when the US wouldn't dream of doing so? Hamas is a terrorist organization and should be treated as such.

A Bush Aide Criticizes Israel for Not Doing More for Peace

In an unusually blunt criticism of a close ally, a Bush administration envoy on the Middle East said Thursday that Israel had "done too little for far too long" to foster peace negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.

Speaking at a conference in Rome held to raise money for the Palestinians, David F. Satterfield, a deputy assistant secretary of state, criticized the Palestinian side as well as the Israelis. But his comments about Israel were among the toughest any American official has publicly made in some time.

His statement was the third sign of American displeasure with Israel in the last month.

In late November, the administration reduced loan guarantees for Israel to punish the expansion of settlements and the construction of a barrier in the West Bank.

Last week the administration rebuffed Israel as Secretary of State Colin L. Powell met with self-appointed negotiators from Israel and the Palestinian side who proposed a peace plan to create a Palestinian state in most of the West Bank and Gaza.

Israel had asked the United States not to meet with the authors of that plan.

And as for this:

The donors also said they would consider establishing a special trust fund to help the Palestinian Authority deal with a $650 million shortfall in its budget. The donors provided $1.2 billion to the Palestinian Authority last year.

Where's the money? Why doesn't anyone ask what that money is being spent on? Weapons perhaps? You know, the ones they use to slaughter Jews with. For how much longer are we going to pretend this isn't happening?

Tip # 2:
Do not rely on commercially manufactured cabinet security locks. There's not a 2 year old alive who can't defeat them. I opted to remove everything from under the kitchen sink, painted the inside, installed a small fluorescent lamp & Presto!...a hidey-hole for Christopher. He lived in it for months. Now his administration has taken to honesty like a drunken sailor. It has made a fetish of candor and forthrightness. Things are wildly out of control...

Sometimes you've got to be slippery to accomplish real good. The Bush administration is thus facing an insincerity crisis. It has become addicted to candor and forthrightness. It needs an immediate back-stabbing infusion.

It is hard to believe and it's a bitter reality to have to face. The Palestinians will continue with their murderous ways because they are not made to suffer any serious consequences. 315 Engineer  Sat, Dec 13, 2003 3:39:54pm

This is an email I got from someone who was at the dinner with Bush. Nothing new, but a dfferent view. This forwarded by a LTC in the states. I removed his contact information, but nothing else.

An Email from a Captain in Iraq

We knew there was a dinner planned with Ambassador Bremer and LTG Sanchez. There were 600 seats available and all the units in the division were tasked with filling a few tables. Naturally, the 501st MI
battalion got our table. Soldiers were grumbling about having to sit through another dog-and-pony show, so we had to pick soldiers to attend.
I chose not to go.
But, about 1500 the G2, LTC Devan, came up to me and with a smile, asked me to come to dinner with him, to meet him in his office at 1600 and bring a camera. I didn't really care about getting a picture with
Sanchez or Bremer, but when the division's senior intelligence officer asks you to go, you go. We were seated in the chow hall, fully decorated for Thanksgiving when aaaaallllll kinds of secret service guys showed up.
That was my first clue, because Bremer's been here before and his personal security detachment is not that big. Then BG Dempsey got up to speak, and he welcomed ambassador Bremer and LTG Sanchez. Bremer thanked us all and pulled out a piece of paper as if to give a speech. He mentioned that the President had given him this thanksgiving speech to give to the troops. He then paused and said that the senior man present should be the one to give it. He then looked at Sanchez, who just smiled. Bremer then said that we should probably get someone more senior to read the speech. Then, from behind the camouflage netting, the President of the United States came around. The mess hall actually erupted with hollering. Troops bounded to their feet with shocked smiles and just began cheering with all their hearts. The building actually shook. It was just unreal. I was absolutely stunned. Not only for the obvious, but also because I was only two tables away from the podium. There he stood, less than thirty feet away from me! The cheering went on and on and on. Soldiers were hollering, cheering, and a lot of them were crying. There
was not a dry eye at my table. When he stepped up to the cheering, I could clearly see tears running down his cheeks. It was the most surreal moment I've had in years. Not since my wedding and Aaron being born.
Here was this man, our President, came all the way around the world, spending 17 hours on an airplane and landing in the most dangerous airport in the world, where a plane was shot out of the sky not six days
before. Just to spend two hours with his troops. Only to get on a plane and spend another 17 hours flying back. It was a great moment, and I will never forget it. He delivered his speech, which we all loved, when he looked right at me and held his eyes on me. Then he stepped down and was just mobbed by the soldiers. He slowly worked his way all the way around the chow hall and shook every last hand extended. Every soldier who wanted a photo with the President got one. I made my way through the line, got dinner, then wolfed it down as he was still working the room. You could tell he was really enjoying himself. It wasn't just a photo opportunity. This man was actually enjoying himself! He worked his way over the course of about 90 minutes towards my side of the room. Meanwhile, I took the opportunity to shake a few hands. I got a picture with Ambassador Bremer, Talabani (acting Iraqi president) and Achmed Chalabi (another member of the ruling council) and Condaleeza Rice, who was there with him. I felt like I was drunk. He was getting closer to my table so I went back over to my seat. As he passed and posed for photos, he looked my in the eye and "How you doin', captain." I smiled and said "God bless you, sir." To which he responded "I'm proud of what you do, captain." Then moved on.

These sites are not critic against islam but racisme and intolerance. Their hate agianst this beautiful and tolerant rreligion is so big that it will eventually eat them up. I'm late to the party ,but.. LOL!

You can always spot an authentic Moonbat™ by the lack of capitalization and the internet jargon overkill.

Can't get enough of this sentence:

cuz use r gonna get punished so badly dat u wish u had ur heads cut offf.

Is there a term for this type of language?

I guess the lack of capitalization can be explained by the fact that you don't capitalize in Arabic.

It's fascinating how the Islamofascist have developed their own internet dialect.

I think that many of us are being careful in what we say because of the posters that scream: KILL THEM ALL.

The Muslims that want to live in peace, true peace with the rest of the world are welcome. We are going to have to deal with the rest. How many are in each group is the big question.

Among the Pals, I don't think there very many that want anything less than the destruction of Israel. In Iraq, most of the population may be OK.

" After a lifetime of public silence, a 78-year-old Los Angeles woman is stepping forward to say she is the daughter of the late Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina and a black woman who once worked as the Thurmond family maid."

Bet it's a setup. They couldn't be satisfied attacking a sick man with their Reagan flick. Now they are going after the deceased with their garbage.

329 evariste  Sat, Dec 13, 2003 4:17:18pm

Wow, I don't think a "Moonbat Alert" thread has gone over 300 before.

JustDanny - does the situation to which you alluded earlier, have anything to do with the Telegraph article about Atta in Iraq?

351 Brother Maynard  Sat, Dec 13, 2003 5:56:57pm

Waitaminute, how did this happen? This thread has gotten back on topic. What happened to the free-association zoo that was going on earlier?

352 justdanny  Sat, Dec 13, 2003 6:02:05pm

If it turns out that my hunch is right, there will be no question at all what this was about. And none of you will ever ask me how I knew.

If there is zero flat out huge news by midday sunday, you can all lower my persona here a few more notches on the credibility chart.

And by the way, regarding my persuit of contact with the moderate rop(ma)ers using my IMer, I got hacked all to heck by one of them. I have spent the last few hours getting back online. I'm not to smart with computers but when you restart your computer and three major programs are gone, five have been added, all with weird script titles and they are all then running upon startup, I had a clue. But when the little black dos looking popup that said "youve been hacked and sacked" came up, well then I knew.

In other big news, at 7am CST, the temperature at Bush-Intercontinental dipped to 32F (0C), the first freezing temp at the airport this winter. Hobby Airport, the smaller airport just outside downtown remained above freezing.

Like a split National Championship, but with less ESPN discussion.

I wake up to a country music station, and they were running ABC TV news audio. I told my wife "Just Danny predicted this".
