In another NY courtroom, the judge is determining if Trump’s $175 million bond is sufficient to stay collection of the judgment.

Isn’t the “sufficiency” at issue not the amount of the bond, but its fundamental credibility?

From what I’ve read, and understand (very likely incorrectly), the $175M bond TFG came up with is basically secured by little more than an IOU from Trump himself, or one of his entities; and Letitia James is going to court today to try to get it “disqualified” (?).

ETA: just recalled that the issue with the Knight Specialty bond is that they (KS) couldn’t identify the specific “assets” backing it up (and still haven’t AFAIK): that it was, ultimately, a Trump “loan” was/is just widely suspected, not proven. Still VERY questionable, though.
