A British Muslim named Amir, who runs a charming, peaceful, and tolerant weblog called Jihaad, attacks Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch—but not for the usual reason. The usual hit on Spencer (or on me, for that matter) is that he distorts the message of Islam to make it appear more violent.
Amir says Spencer is trying to mislead Muslims into becoming less violent—and that, Amir says, is “not as bad as apostasy, but still pretty damn bad.” He praises Hizb-ut-Tahrir and Al-Muhajiroun, two groups that are openly dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization and the imposition of an Islamic state. He’s quite a piece of work, taking advantage of the privileges and benefits of Western society while advocating its destruction.
Robert Spencer’s response to this Dark Ages blogger is right on the mark.
