Dear Democrats in B.C.,
We have an extraordinary opportunity to get the word out to B.C. ex-pats — both U.S. and U.S./Canadian Dual citizens — about our right to register and vote absentee in the November election.
As part of a worldwide tour organized by Americans Overseas for Kerry (AOK) to Get Out the Ex-Pat Vote this November, Diana Kerry will be speaking at our monthly Democrats Abroad meeting at 7pm this NEXT Wednesday, August 18th, at our regular location, the Roundhouse Community Arts Centre in Yaletown.
Diana is the younger sister of Senator John Kerry and chairs Americans Overseas for Kerry. Having lived abroad for many years, she is an internationalist who has taught Theater and English in Indonesia, Iran, Paris and Bangkok. Diana is a major hit wherever she speaks. She is a vociferous advocate for change in the coming election.
The press for this event, including TV coverage, could make a crucial difference in our efforts to get as many U.S. and Dual citizens registered as we can before the September 15th deadline.

MEXICO CITY — John Kerry’s sister urged Americans living in Mexico to support the Democratic presidential candidate, saying Thursday they could help the United States “get back to having a president we can feel proud of.”
Diana Kerry, chairman of Americans Overseas for Kerry, campaigned for a second day in Mexico City. Absentee ballots from Americans living abroad have taken on new significance since the 2000 U.S. presidential election.
The U.S. Embassy estimates that 385,000 U.S. citizens live in Mexico — not including those with dual citizenship.
Diana Kerry, a volunteer worker in her brother’s first U.S. Senate campaign in 1984, has spent most of her professional life teaching in Indonesia, Thailand, Iran and France. She answered questions Thursday at the home of her brother’s Mexico campaign coordinator, Ana Maria Salazar, a former Pentagon official.
