Evening Cato. You never shared what you thought of the 3rd book (apart from grammar considerations, that is).

Very soon we will be able to talk about ASoIaF this without fearing spoilers. We can almost do that now, since action in the 4th book is slower and only half the POVs are narrated.

I’m still about six chapters from finishing the third.

21 Cato the Elder  Sun, May 23, 2010 6:24:19pm

My evening was eventful.

Went to the eightieth birthday party of my high-school music teacher.

Friends for life.

He taught me much of what I know about critical thinking.

I gave an impromptu speech in his honor, and had them rolling in the aisles.

This is the man I have to thank for not falling victim to scams.

He also taught me not to bow before “expertise” if I smell a rat. Or a rant.

He taught me the difference between scholarship and scholarshit.

He also taught me Latin.

And he wrote an original opera every year for us students to perform.

Cent’ anni, Jack!

Dum inter homines sumus, colamus humanitatem. (Seneca)

Whilst we live among humans, let us be humane.

Hell, I take your first statement as a compliment, so no problem. Most women I’ve known are much smarter than most men I’ve known. But I’m biased, I loves the womens’s.

And why the hell aren’t they showing the games on free TV. Oh wait, that’s right, that’s an archaic concept from last century. Tell me which way is the corporate mecca so I can reverently bow to our corporate overlords.
