Tea Party’s Eric Odom Uses ‘Applause-Gate’ to Solicit Donations

Applause-Gate is the incredibly strange wingnut meme that stopped living and became a mixed up zombie, and now, even after King of the Wings Rush Limbaugh pronounced it bunk, we find Tea Party operative Eric Odom hauling out this mind-warpingly dumb story to fleece the rubes out of some more money for his group, Americans for New Leadership, in a fundraising email titled: Barack Obama: The Astroturf President.

Stop this madness!

Fellow Patriots,

I know it’s a holiday so I’ll make this brief.

Basically, it has now been exposed the fact that Barack Obama’s team actually placed applause prompts on the Jumbotron during his recent “rally memorial” for the Arizona shooting.

To add insult to injury, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs claimed the team was surprised there was applause and didn’t expect it.

“I will say that I read the speech several times and thought that there wouldn’t be a lot of applause if any. I think many of us thought that. But I think there was a celebration, again, of the lives of those who had been impacted. Not just at that grocery store but throughout the country. And I think that, if that is part of the healing process, then that’s a good thing.”

We cannot let them get away with this. The Obama spin machine is one of the most astroturf political fronts in the History of America, and they’re about to embark on an estimated BILLION dollar Presidential re-election campaign.

We’ve written an extensive post, including links and an actual photo of the astroturf jumbotron at Liberty.com. Please check out the post and Facebook, tweet and share it with everyone you know. We need to force the media to begin covering these lies and Americans need to know it’s all a sham.

I hope you’re all enjoying the day and we wish you a great week ahead!

For Liberty

-Eric Odom
