Engadget has hundreds of photos from today’s iPad 2 launch: Live from Apple’s iPad 2 event.

It strikes me as more of an evolutionary upgrade than a big leap into gadgetry unknown, but there are some very cool new features — like the HD video camera (although it’s got to be the most ungainly video camera ever designed), HDMI output, better display, and a dual processor. And the Smart Cover looks very handy.

It just might be enough to get me to buy one of these infernal things. I skipped the first model on general principles (unless someone gives it to me, I rarely acquire the first release of a gadget), and because I already have a MacBook Pro that’s much more capable than any iPad, for the work I do daily.
