Mitt Romney’s First Ad is Based on a Blatant Lie

When did this become acceptable politics?

Mitt Romney’s first campaign ad, titled “Believe in America,” centers around an audio clip of President Obama saying, “If we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose.”

An amazingly dishonest audio clip, that is, because Obama was actually quoting the words of a John McCain adviser, talking about McCain’s campaign during the 2008 election. Romney’s advertisement completely leaves out this context to give the impression Obama was talking about his administration.

This is just flat out lying, no matter how you look at it.
