Video: Charlie Rose Interviews Bernie Sanders About His “Hillary Is Unqualified” Comments
Sen. Bernie Sanders was on CNN’s Charlie Rose show last night, and Rose pressed him pretty hard about his statement that Hillary Clinton was “unqualified” to be president.
I don’t think Sanders came off very well here; he just repeats over and over that she started it, I was just responding to her, etc. This is the sort of excuse you see in a playground argument between children, and I really don’t like seeing it in a presidential candidate. It reminds me of the way Republicans argue, with personal attacks and refusal to accept any responsibility.
Sanders does make one statement here that I was glad to hear, though; he says if Clinton is the nominee, he will support her. I may be mistaken but I think this is the first time he’s come out and said this.
