The Rolling Stones have asked Donald Trump to stop using their music at his campaign events, because like other musicians such as Neil Young, Adele and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, they don’t want to be associated with this raving xenophobic bigot.
But Trump says he’s not going to stop, because he bought the rights to use their songs.
And in this case, he’s right; if he legitimately bought a license to use their songs at his events, there’s no way the Stones can legally force him to desist. But at least now they’re on record protesting it.
