A Fascinating and Terrifying Vision of a Media-Saturated Future: HYPER-REALITY

I’m not sure if the film-makers intended it this way, but this vision of a future city in which media and graphics are literally everywhere is pretty freaking terrifying.

Hyper-Reality presents a provocative and kaleidoscopic new vision of the future, where physical and virtual realities have merged, and the city is saturated in media. I’ve never seen her as outrageous. She speaks her mind and a lot of people don’t seem to be able to deal with it. I liked her when she was a front pager at Balloon Juice.

Well my Chica & I reside in a one bedroom together. We are getting so tight. She listens when I call her name, comes at me (mostly-ish) when I beckon. She found a spot in the sun that was unfortunately in my path. I kept disturbing her and her sunbeam. I patted that little spot on the sofa I made for her that is in the sun. Ignored her for awhile & looked up & thar she is.

I’ve been blessed.

I’ve been seeing a lot of them here in Wisconsin. There were a sow and three cubs alongside Hwy 63 about 20 miles southwest of Hayward last Sunday driving back from my visit with my son. Then on Wednesday, I saw one crossing a cranberry marsh just outside a bunch of summer houses. My ex-MiL would not be amused.

I wonder if conditions are good for them right now or if it’s simply there is no competition for that level of omnivore in the local environment? It would help if the hunting numbers were higher as that’s just about the only thing other than cars and semi’s keeping the numbers even slightly down.

Bears are apex predators, there’s nothing that really keeps them in check besides us. American black bears, in particular, are a fairly numerous species and could probably do with some additional control.

The guy in my FB feed who was all-in for Trump has now soured on The Donald, because Donny stooped to meet with Paul Ryan. He considers Ryan yet another corporate toady, though I am not very clear why he thinks Trump would be any better. He may hold his nose and vote for Clinton now.

Regardless of the reasoning, I hope many Republicans abandon party politics and vote against Trump this election. It would so serve the GOP right to be trounced in the general election by a woman, after being defeated twice by a black guy.
