Trump’s Outreach to Women: Roger Ailes Is Helping Him Prepare for the Debates

Donald Trump’s polling numbers among women are already abysmally low, after his long history of misogynistic statements and attitudes. And one of the main themes of his campaign has been viciously attacking Bill Clinton for his alleged sexual harassment.
So who better to advise him on preparing for the debates with Hillary Clinton than the man who was forced to resign as head of Fox News after dozens of women came forward with stories of sexual harassment?
That’s right, according to the New York Times (and they cite four unnamed sources “briefed on the move”), Roger Ailes Is Advising Donald Trump Ahead of the Presidential Debates.
And of course, the Trump campaign is officially denying this report, which almost certainly means it’s true.
A spokeswoman for Mr. Trump, Hope Hicks, denied that Mr. Ailes was advising him in any capacity. Noting in an email that “Mr. Ailes and Mr. Trump have been friends for many years,” she said their relationship was being mischaracterized.
“They speak occasionally, which isn’t news,” she said.
It’s difficult to imagine a politician whose denials are less credible than Trump, who lies like a rug even after being called out for it.
