BREAKING: Judge allows lawsuit against President Trump to go ahead alleging violations of Constitution’s emoluments clause pic.twitter.com/zrqADoIkrO

Good.
This is a suit alleging Trump is violating the clear language of the Constitution - a high crime or misdemeanor. This is the kind of impeachable offense that the GOP continues enabling by refusing to treat Trump as a threat to the nation. https://t.co/tvO1toxhU0— lawhawk (@lawhawk) March 28, 2018
I worked with a guy named Spanky. Great guy. In his left pocket he would have one dollar bills, and pull that out when we went out to eat saying he was broke till payday. In his right hand pocket he had a wad of ten’s and twenties, when he found those “cash only” deals.

It bears repeating that if Hogg was the wingnut media darling for promoting gun ownership, stories like this would be treated like a national tragedy rather than a petty bully punching down.

david hogg may or may not have been a great student
and he’s a survivor of a gun massacre at his high school
and he’s an advocate for change
all three things can be and are true at the same time
no contradiction
no hypocrisy
The attacks on Hogg are not that surprising when you remember that the same wingnuts went after a rape victim because she couldn’t maintain a stable relationship and had money troubles in later life.

Let me get this straight, Trump’s private outside counsel was discussing potential OFFICIAL acts by the President with lawyers representing co-conspirators as a way to obstruct Mueller’s investigation?

This is really bad for Dowd. I don’t know the specific rules of the Federal Bar but this strikes me as all manner of unethical. The President’s private lawyers should not be discussing potential official acts with anybody. In doing so he broke the legal veil separating the President as an individual and the Office of the President.
Also, this is evidence that Flynn and his lawyers really have flipped and the investigation is going full bore into obstruction as the main cause of action.

Of conservative writers, Kevin Williamson is one of those most willing to be heterodox, most committed to reality-based reporting, with a bold intellect and indomitable character. But the philistine progressive mob can’t stand him. Why? Because he won’t bend the knee…to them.

And I’ve known people who I’d have no problem with them owning an AR-15 in any other climate.
One of my (now-former) friends who is very liberal on everything else except for guns got upset over my criticism of the AR15 and decided to delete me from FB. This was a day after the Parkland massacre so of course emotions were still extremely raw and one of my other FB friends called him “trash” for defending the AR15. In order to avoid yet another shitstorm, I ended up deleting the post instead of intervening and telling him to stop.
On one hand, I understand he may have been ticked off that I didn’t say anything. But I have stated many things during my FB interventions which didn’t yield jack shit so that’s why I pulled the post. But on the other, I can’t fucking be held responsible for how others react, and if you come on my FB and defend the same weapon used to mow down students, you have to brace for the inevitable reaction.

actually, being turned down by 4 UC’s isn’t like 4 different colleges rejected him; the University of California has pretty high standards for non-Californians. He got into a Cal State, a Cal Poly, and a uni in his own home state. He obviously knew he wasn’t an automatic acceptance, or he wouldn’t have applied to 7 schools.
The UC’s, all ten campuses combined, take approx 70,000 freshmen every year; more than 60% of those slots are guaranteed to Californians who’ve graduated in the top 12% of their class. For an out-of-stater to get in is almost as difficult as an Ivy.
