On a completely different subject, I did learn something. The local hotels are now adding a $100 charge, which is refundable after checkout, if you don’t smoke pot in your room. Now that we have recreational cannabis, what people have been doing is buying pot, renting a hotel room and lighting up, even though pretty much all hotel rooms are non-smoking. I don’t blame the hotels for doing that, because cannabis smoke can be very, uhm, penetrating. The $100 charge is for extra cleaning and if your room doesn’t require extra cleaning, it gets refunded.

That is probably generally true. But sometimes, parents love their son too much and let him totally off the string. Then, a little bit of sociopathy results in a monster of an adult.

I can’t and won’t blame his parents. I wasn’t there. His rich Daddy obviously did everything he could to protect his child.

But he’s 38 years old. He is responsible for his actions. Daddy can’t help him now.

My hotel charges $250 for smoking _anything_. Not up front, but it’ll go on their card if we catch them. Cleaning up behind tobacco or weed is a bitch. (Meth is worst of all.) Get edibles folks, it’s better for your lungs and makes my life easier. If Wisconsin was a rec state, I’d agree with the upfront deposit too.

Canada has more COVID-19 cases per capita than U.S.

That’s because we have barbarians masquerading as conservatives running many provincial governments, including the most populous province, Ontario. The federal government is trying but the provinces do the actual work.

These bozos are way out of their depth trying to handle a modern crisis. Hell, they’d have trouble putting down a peasant revolt in the 13th Century.

As states continue to push anti-trans legislation amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, we’ve seen parents go viral for stepping up and speaking on behalf of their trans children. We’ve also seen a brave, brilliant trans teenager, Stella Keating, go viral for speaking up at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for the Equality Act. Now, as Texas weighs several pieces of anti-trans legislation—including one that would essentially criminalize gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth—one 10-year-old trans girl has gone viral for testifying at the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs, as reported by the Texas Tribune.

“I’ve been having to explain myself since I was three or four years old,” Kai Shappley told lawmakers on Monday, in reference to the state’s push for anti-trans bathroom bills several years ago. “Texas legislators have been attacking me since pre-K. I am in the fourth grade now.” Shappley, in addition to being an activist, is also an actress. The busy child stressed that she does “not like spending [her] free time asking adults to make good choices.”

I agree with something that was posted above. Edibles FFS, if you insist on doing this in places where smoking wouldn’t be allowed normally.

Or vapes, or inhalers. JHC. I do not partake myself and I’m totally for legalization, but the smell of smoking it is beyond VILE and it carries quite far (no matter how fucking sneaky you think you are being… you aren’t).
