Amazing Solo Acoustic Version of Linkin Park’s “Points of Authority” (Luca Stricagnoli)

Music • Views: 12,672

Time to finally arrange a song my Linkin Park. I didn’t choose the post popular, but I chose one of their heaviest tunes: “Points of Authority”.
This is my first time using a guitar made of carbon fiber: it’s made by the brand @enyamusic @EnyaMusicUSA and I really love it. enya-music.com I am very excited to announce that I started a collaboration with them, and we will be creating my signature model very soon. Please stay tuned for more updates. I am also using some really cool equipment by SWIFF AUDIO, such as their tuner and wireless system. swiffmusic.com

Come to one of my live shows to hear this song and many more. Tour dates on: lucastricagnoli.com

This is really an in-depth look at Gisele Fetterman and how she is coping and handing everything in her life. I had read that she was really something, and I think she is on her way to being a saint.

It won’t stop until we fix voting rights and these kinds of Republicans can’t weasel their way into office.

Republicans are about to shut down the government again over ridiculous fantasy grievances, but meanwhile they’ve got the media blabbering about John Fetterman’s clothes.

There is a huge danger of a massive fuel release down gradient from the facility. They need the Swedish AF to helicopter in empty fuel bladders and pumps to remove whatever is left in the Underground Storage Tanks to limit the threat.

Those who agree with him also describe Democrats as commies and aren’t supporting those Republicans who oppose Trump: Chris, Asa, Will. Instead they support Vivek and Ron — they love Trump’s policies, were not fond of his efforts to overthrow the government but apparently are against those GOP candidates who truly object to Trump.

More somersaults than the Flying Wallendas….

Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Saturday said he will keep Ukraine aid in the Pentagon funding bill, a reversal from his announcement one day earlier that he would strip the money out due to opposition from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

McCarthy told reporters in the Capitol that he decided to keep the $300 million of Ukraine aid in the bill after recognizing that another spending measure set to come up next week — one that funds the State Department and Foreign Operations — also includes money for Kyiv.

The Speaker said stripping the Ukraine aid out of the State Department and Foreign Operations measure “becomes more difficult to do,” which led him to decide to keep the money for Kyiv in both measures.

The House next week is set to take a single procedural vote to advance four appropriations bills, including ones that fund the Pentagon and the State Department and Foreign Operations.

“That’s not solving it because one of the others has some Ukraine things,” McCarthy said of stripping the Ukraine aid out of the Pentagon appropriations bill. “So it became too difficult to do that so we’re leaving it in.”

This is almost certainly true. Kennedy’s conspiratorial anti-vax, anti-science message would have had appeal on the left 20 or 30 years ago, but rightwing strategists have completely co-opted these issues. This was a natural and logical outcome given the affinity between anti science and the great complex of rightwing irrationality, including authoritarian religion, fake nostalgia, and the economic appeal of health care quackery and multi-level marketing.

Mike Henderson, Chris Stapleton Co-Writer and the SteelDrivers Founder, Dead at 70

Mike Henderson, a founding member of the bluegrass band the SteelDrivers and a frequent co-writer of Chris Stapleton’s, died Friday. He was 70. Henderson’s former bandmates in the SteelDrivers confirmed his death in a Facebook post.

“All the SteelDrivers, past and present, are in shock today as we have lost our original architect,” they wrote.

Henderson, a Missouri native, won a Grammy for Best Country Song for co-writing “Broken Halos” with Stapleton, his onetime bandmate in the SteelDrivers. In 2017, “Broken Halos” became Stapleton’s first Number One country hit, and the pair would again top the charts with their cowrite “Starting Over,” the title track to Stapleton’s 2020 album. They also wrote the Stapleton fan favorites “Death Row” and “Midnight Train to Memphis,” the latter first recorded by the SteelDrivers.

Research Warns White Supremacists Are Building a Shadow Militia

“…CEP’s research found that in some cases, Active Club members are current or former members of other extremist groups like Patriot Front, Proud Boys, Oath Keepers and White Lives Matter.

Some researchers even fear the clubs are starting to make the sort of inroads that the other groups could not.

“The Active Clubs are who the Proud Boys thought they were. The Active Clubs are who the Proud Boys wanted to be,” said Jon Lewis, a research fellow at George Washington University’s Program on Extremism.”

ADL:

“…Active Clubs are a nationwide network of localized white supremacist crews who are largely inspired by Robert Rundo’s white supremacist Rise Above Movement (R.A.M.)
- Active Club members see themselves as fighters training for an ongoing war against a system that they claim is deliberately plotting against the white race.
- Active Clubs distribute white supremacist propaganda, participate in small-scale demonstrations, and often gather privately for training events such as sparring, hiking or book/flag burning.

re: #77 Belafon

The difference being this is caused by the job realignment from Covid. It has to do with supply vs demand, and companies buying houses.

Thing is, though, that the economy has very strong feedbacks into the system. The origin of an issue is soon left in the rear-view mirror.

The financial process becomes its own monster.

Any significant downward movement in interest rates will be seen as a sign of a recession.

This is the fear: that we ping-pong between high interest rates and a recession.

Either one will make it tougher on Biden and the Dems.

re: #85 Shiplord Kirel: From behind wingnut lines

I thought the kettle and morning tea outranked meatpacking in determining national attribution. No right thinking ‘mercan conservative would drink tea in the morning or without ice and tons of sugar. I stole it directly from the UK anyway.
(I drink tea in the morning, but I am not a conservative. I was born in England, too, and morning tea might be imprinted from birth.)

I love my nice hot “Cuppa” tea - black, hot, no sweetener unless I’m really sick in which case I’ll use a bit of honey. Yorkshire Tea (the red label box) by Taylors of Harrogate is my preference.
