Howard Dean, who was vehemently opposed to the war in Iraq, now calls for US troops to be sent into the middle of the mess in Liberia.

Dean argued his position on the use of force is not out of line with his opposition to the war in Iraq.

“The situation in Liberia is significantly different from the situation in Iraq,” he said.

He’s right. It is different.

Our national security is not at stake in Liberia.
