GAZA and the “Disproportionate Response” Fallacy
As soon as the first Israeli bomb destroyed a Hamas building the dhimmi’s across the world started screaming Disproportionate Response. Of course that argument is about as real as the Screaming Old Lady that was photo-shopped into all bombing sites in the Lebanon war, and just so happened to show up at the anti-Israel protest in Jordan yesterday.
None of those same voices screamed disproportionate response at the 7,600+ Rockets/Mortars fired from Gaza over the past 7 years or the nearly 700 launched since the “cease fire” was announced in June (through today).
Israel is defending her citizenry from attack. According to international law, Israel is not required to calibrate its use of force precisely according to the size and range of the weaponry used against it.
