Global Warming Threatens Tampa Bay, FL With Record Low Temps
We could flirt with record low temperatures by the end of the week. Don’t be deceived by the sunshine our highs will only hover near 60 degrees.
Wednesday our high will reach 62 degrees under mostly sunny skies. However a breezy northerly wind will make it feel much cooler. Overnight there is a FREEZE WATCH for Hernando, Citrus, Sumter and Levy counties. In fact much of the Nature Coast can expect 4-6 hours of below freezing temperatures. Closer to the Bay temperatures will run between 37-45 degrees.
Thursday there will be a few high then clouds with partly sunny skies and a high of 60. Lows at night will range from 23-32 north and inland of the Bay. Adjacent to the Bay and the Gulf readings will range from 35-40.
Friday will be our coldest day at only 57 degrees and at night the lows will dip to 22-28 north and inland. Closer to the Bay we will be close to record cold with 29-35 degrees.
