Georgetown University Schedules Videoconference with Muammar Al-Qaddafi

Muammar Al-Qaddafi, the Leader of the Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Great Jamahiriya, will address the Georgetown University community and other guests via satellite in the ICC Auditorium. He will discuss his vision for a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as outlined in his ‘White Book,’ and take questions from the audience.
All questions must be submitted via email in advance to ccasevents@georgetown.edu. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING QUESTIONS IS 5:00PM FRIDAY, JANUARY 16.
DOORS OPEN FOR STUDENTS/GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY ID HOLDERS AND REGISTERED GUESTS AT 11:00AM
Seating will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. Georgetown University GO Cards (or state-issued ID for non-Georgetown guests) will be required for admittance.
PRIORITY SEATING WILL BE GIVEN TO GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
NO CAMERAS, BAGS, BACKPACKS, PURSES or SIGNS allowed into the ICC auditorium.
GEORGETOWN ID HOLDERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO RSVP FOR THIS EVENT.
GUESTS OUTSIDE OF THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY MUST RSVP TO THIS EVENT. RSVPed GUESTS RECEIVE PRIORITY IN SEATING. THERE WILL BE A WAITING AREA FOR GUESTS WHO DO NOT REGISTER AND THEY WILL BE SEATED CONTINGENT UPON THE AVAILABILITY OF SPACE AFTER REGISTERED GUESTS AND GEORGETOWN GUESTS HAVE BEEN SEATED.
Lecture will be in Arabic; simultaneous translation will be provided via headset.
Copies of the ‘White Book’ will be available at the lecture.
