Methane on Mars may be a consequence of micro-life

It’s a pretty long shot that microorganisms are causing it, but this article says they could be in a subterranean (sub-Martian?) pocket of water that’s far enough below the surface to be liquid. Even if it isn’t life per se, it would probably indicate that Mars’s geology is still active.
