The Coming Floods Will Be A Bit Late Again
Radar altimeters have been measuring the sea level from space now for a while. During the 1990s, they were indeed rising. Now that the AMO has rolled over and we are going into a global cooling mode for the next 30 or so years, they have flattened out and will probably decrease as precipitation is deposited inland as snow, etc. as the earth cools. Note, the oceans are a lagging indicator of temperature. They continue to warm a bit after the AMO rolls over and continue to cool a bit when the AMO turns up due to their immense thermal inertia.
