Hitler’s Legacy: Islamic Antisemitism in the Middle East
German scholar Matthias Kntzel trying to analyze the root of the current Islamic antisemitism which fuses Koranik anti-Jewish elements together with the very “best” of European antisemitic literature that started being translated into Arabic in the early 20C and reached its peak with radio Berlin that was broadcasting Nazi-Islamic fusion throughout the Middle East for the whole duration of the war. Its prominent radio star being Amin el-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem.
Is this just history? I don’t think so - the results we are seeing today. It influenced - to name just a few - the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Khomeini and a whole lot of others. It influenced the masses of listeners as well.
The antisemitic legacy of Hitler and Amin el-Husseini is very much alive today in the Arab world and the Muslim world, and according to Kntzel, has a vital part in the Middle East Arab/Muslim - Jewish conflict.
