20 Years After The Fall: The Power Of Moral Clarity
Today, on the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, we commemorate the victory of free men and women over the tyranny of communism. This victory would not have been possible without the courage of the men and women fighting for freedom from inside the Eastern Bloc, and the leadership of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Pope John Paul II and others who weren’t afraid to call evil by name. President Reagan believed in American exceptionalism. He unashamedly and unapologetically defended American ideals. He knew that effective diplomacy was never about appeasing America’s enemies. -Liz Cheney
