In Front of them All
Seiji Koshimizu was just 17 years old when he arrived in Korea. People had told him that the U.S. military didn’t send people overseas until they hit 18, but that really didn’t turn out to be the case.
“As soon as I took my basic training,” he says, “I came to Korea.”
Not that he is complaining. Actually, being young, he says, was “better, because I was too young to really understand.”
