Ballot shortage may delay polls’ closure
Clermont County had run out of Democratic ballots by early evening at some precincts and was turning people away at the polls who were requesting them, several voters reported.
Polls will stay open to accommodate voters who are at the polls at 7:30 p.m.
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has also asked a judge to hold open the polls in Sandusky County until 9 p.m. EST
The secretary of state’s office says Barack Obama’s campaign has filed a federal lawsuit to get a voting extension in Franklin and Cuyahoga counties, alleging a shortage of ballots.
