Cooks Source Magazine brags about violating copyrights
Cooks Source took a story without permission. When the author emailed them to demand compensation, she was told “the web is considered ‘public domain’ and you should be happy we just didn’t ‘lift’ your whole article and put someone else’s name on it!” The magazine went on to claim her article was badly in need of editing, and she should pay them for their trouble. For the record, her article included a couple of non-modern English recipes with obsolete spellings.

(Their facebook page is rather entertaining right now, as their wall is being deluged with criticism from a number of large communities.)
