PZ Meyers (Pharyngula blog) gets the best hate mail I've ever seen, and sometimes there are some gems on Saturday Hate Mailapalooza at DKos. Goldberg's are pretty mild, but I'm sure he didn't post the worst ones.

Goldberg is anything but a far left Israel hater. He's a staunch supporter, and his writing is thoughtful and clear headed. Way more than I can say for Hoft.
