Not surprising. There are still delusional whackjobs here in Texas who think we're still an independent republic that is part of the US on a whim, or that we can legally secede. They even style themselves as a separate government or as foreign citizens being occupied by America.

This is just an offshoot of all the "sovereign citizen" Bad Crazy.

These whackjobs have been around for a while, but are not aggressive--they seem more interested in selling t-shirts. The downside is that they provide an undertone of acceptance that make the real neo-Klan types braver. We are having an uptick of Klan recruiting in our county.

That's what irritates me the most. Every time I see someone wearing a shirt that says The South Will Rise Again, or a Texas flag shirt or bumper sticker with "Secede!" on it, I get angry. That person may not be a raving Klan member lunatic, but they give legitimacy to those who ARE the Klan types.

OK, let the South rise again. They will just get their asses kicked again.

I say either join the Union or don't. Havin it both ways is kinda sleazy. No, Texas, we're not just 'friends with benefits'. This hasn't just been a century and a half long booty call. You're married to it. Deal with it.

This is the official web page of the Confederate States of America.

Being a webmaster back in 1861 was tough. Writing code with a quill pen was slow going and modems that ran on Morse Code took forever to download porn. And when you finally got it, it was just ".- - - .-. .- -.-. - .. ...- . / .-- --- -- .- -.".

Seriously? Get the hell over it. Honestly, if you ask me the CSA was doomed for failure from the start. A lot of their top leaders including Lee seceded only reluctantly and were eager to sign for peace.
