Obama to speak on budget at 4:40 p.m.
President Obama will make a budget statement at 4:40 p.m., the White House said.
Obama “will deliver brief remarks to discuss the status of efforts to find a balanced approach to deficit reduction,” said the announcement.
With both the House and Senate in session, Obama is expected to meet with congressional leaders from both parties this week as the clock ticks on the government’s $14.3 trillion debt ceiling.
