Five Geek Social Fallacies
I found this 2003 essay by Michael Suileabhain-Wilson insightful, partly because the change in social interaction made possible by new technology has led to a huge increase in the possibilities for geekdom.
To quote the author, “…I think that the best way to deal with social fallacies is to be aware of them, in yourself and in others. In yourself, you can try to deal with them; in others, understanding their behavior usually makes it less aggravating.”
