It’s been a while since I posted about “TheBlogmocracy” AKA the Stalker Blog, but today something happened that I feel needs to be noted. Senior Stalker “Rodan” actually posted a worthy story, about the anti-Catholic church Michelle Bachmann attended for 10 years:

Many on the Right gave Obama hell for attending Rev. Wright’s racist black church for 20 years. Yet when it comes to Michele Bachmann attending a church that preached against Catholics there is silence. To her credit she did leave that church, but why did it take her 10 years? To make matters worse this church defends it’s hatred of Roman Catholicism.

WASHINGTON — The Lutheran denomination that GOP presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann quit in June sought to explain its belief that the papacy is the anti-Christ after reports questioned whether Bachmann is anti-Catholic.

Six days before Bachmann officially launched her presidential campaign last month, the Minnesota Republican and her family left Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Minn., which is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

Synod spokesman Joel Hochmuth said Thursday (July 14) the Bachmanns had been members of Salem Lutheran for more than a decade, but had not attended the church for at least two years. They did not request a transfer to another congregation, he said.

The denomination says on its website: ‘We identify the Antichrist as the papacy. This is an historical judgment based on Scripture.’

While Rodan still is a hater, this is a worthy topic and a good point to make. Most of the comment posts are in the same vein, here’s some examples:

Ohkayyyy. Looks like Bachmann is off the list of candidates I could support. I’m not Catholic, and don’t know that I agree with the hierarchical structure of the Catholic church, but think that idea (Pope being the anti-Christ) is a crock.

Queen Moochelle wasted $10 million of OUR money on vacations boozing it up!

Note how “coldwarrior” properly takes Michelle Bachmann to task for her church’s anti-Catholic bigotry, only to attack Michelle Obama with words that cannot be attributed to anything but racism.

Just when you think a bad blog might be improving, they plunge deeper into the hate.
