Cops push the protesters, they have every right to push back.

Perhaps the first push was the acts of civil disobedience on the part of the protesters.

There is a difference from arresting someone, or even pepper-spraying them, and posting their data like that. Like Wikileaks, Anonymous has knowingly put people’s live at risk. If anyone is killed or seriously injured as a result of this hack, all who were involved in the hack should be tried for Murder 2, as their actions were in reckless disregard for the lives of others.

This is bad news. There are undoubtedly criminals who carry grudges against many of those cops. It’s not just the cops either—this puts their spouses, children, and possibly even their neighbors at risk as well.

Wikileaks shed light on wanton and protracted acts of aggression by the US government. Whatever “blowback” results is a direct result of such action going un-prosecuted.

Similarly, the thin blue line is often used to shield bad cops from their own acts of brutality. Perhaps if they were trained not to reflexively shoot minorities or pull out the taser at the first sign of provocation, then maybe they wouldn’t be at risk of blowback as well.

It’s not a perfect world. If there is retribution directed against an innocent, it can only be as a result of the actions that warranted this whistleblowing.
