Survey Puts Together Most Liked/Disliked TV Shows By Political Leanings
Does what people watch on TV correlate with political affiliation. Apparently so:
Republicans don’t watch MTV’s Jersey Shore. But they dig ABC’s The Bachelor.
Democrats don’t like Discovery’s Deadliest Catch. But they swoon for NBC’s Parks & Recreation.
Those are a few of the findings of an annual research survey by Experian-Simmons that measures the consumer preferences of various political ideologies. In a report prepared exclusively for EW, the company calculated some of the favorite — and least favorite — TV shows of political partisans
Among the self-identifying Democrat favorites: Daily Show, Colbert Report, 30 Rock, Parks & Recreation, The View, Glee, Modern Family, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Treme, Cougar Town, Late Show with Letterman, and Late Late Show With Ferguson.
Favorites for self-identifying Republicans: Swamp Loggers, Bachelor, Castle, Mythbusters, Only in America, The Middle, Tonight Show with Leno, and Biggest Loser, Hawaii Five-O.
Once again, I come down in the middle - liking Daily Show, Mythbusters, and Tonight Show, but eschewing pretty much everything else on the list.
