Shocka! Gingrich Lied About Rebutting ‘Open’ Marriage Claims
It isn’t shocking that politicians lie, nor is it shocking that Newt Gingrich is more than willing to say and do anything to gain power and the nomination. Yet, the kinds of lies he’s willing to entertain shows a complete and utter lack of moral or ethical center.
In the most recent debate after being asked about the so-called “open marriage” proposal to his then second wife, Gingrich responded that the claims were not true and that she was not only bitter from the divorce but that he had personal friends who could rebut her claims.
Well, it wasn’t personal friends, but his two daughters from his first marriage. They aren’t exactly disinterested parties either.
“Tonight, after persistent questioning by our staff, the Gingrich campaign concedes now Speaker Gingrich was wrong — both in his debate answer, and in our interview yesterday,” King said on tonight’s edition of John King USA. “Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond says the only people the Gingrich campaign offered to ABC were his two daughters from his first marriage.”
An important victory for John King in his ongoing effort to justify last Thursday’s confrontation.
