Isn't it bad enough that it could hit Israel? Or troops stationed in Afghanistan?

Well that's another subject, and yes that is a terrible thing. But it is critically important to assess with clarity and accuracy rather than hyperbole.

Why isn't anyone thinking about this in terms of a suitcase bomb?

You know, it seems the Iranians have a knack for not doing things "our way," like fighting wars with uniformed troops arrayed on a battlefield...

The more likely event is a standard 40' or 53' cargo container happening to blow up while transiting into a major harbor area, before it is dockside....who needs heat resistant shields for that?

That's even more cost effective on a budget than an erector launcher in a cargo container off the coast, not from a naval warship.....
