Wise words, Bill. The most intelligent, erudite statement regarding this tragic event that I have heard.

Wise words are good. Let's say the US finally decides to deal with racial issues--I would guess that many of us would start with unwise words. This is one factor that prevents dialogue, we don't know what we will say, because we really don't understand how we feel.

There has to be an understanding that we will begin without wisdom and work towards wisdom. In between, there will be a lot of days of feeling quite stupid.

Of course he is right that neighborhood watch volunteers should not carry guns or attempt to apprehend anyone.

“The Cosby Show” star’s remarks were immediately circulated on the Web, including conservative sites that took issue with Cosby’s pinpointing “the gun” as the problem.

Perhaps Mr. Cosby has good reason to decry senseless gun violence, such as the murder of his son while he was trying to change a flat tire?

re: #1 alinuxguru

It's something I saw many people here saying in the immediate aftermath, too, though.
