Remember, getting the news out of news stories in Israel is not so easy. The Prime Minister might be the one to legally call for elections, but the Israeli populace is not too happy with the present state of the economy--which ain't bad by world standards.

This Obama angle is nonsense, as our President will hardly be paralyzed by the upcoming US elections--all of which would diminish the credibility of Israel's best-informed political commentator.

The fact is, Israeli newspapers have stories about what others in the world are saying about Israel, the daily terrorist attempt to murder Israelis (moving to the bottom of the page as it's so commonplace), official government statements--all of which means that there is precious little news in Israel itself. Science, agriculture, and tourism. It's like the local news in one city.

Speaking of Netenyahu, wasn't there supposed to be some uber Tea Party event where someone posted the PM was going to be a speaker? Did that event come and go? The PM didn't show, correct?

That was the thread where people called him an accessory to the murder of Rabin. What happened with all that?

That was the Awakening 2012 evangelical conference held in Winter Park FL a couple weeks ago. The Israeli prime minister was to 'attend' via video, along with 1-2 others such as Moshe Ya'alon. He disappeared from the advertised list of 'invited guests' well before the conference. So did most of the GOP primary candidates as they dropped out of the race. The conference changed its focus to Hispanic evangelical efforts.

re: #3 Decatur Deb

I'm shocked, shocked that things didn't turn out the way the Tea Party thought.

I believe that Ya'alon attended.
